Hi Rizvan, Identifying your purpose is so important. It is the fuel that drives you along your journey. I just did an interview with my friend and successful blogger David Boozer. We spoke about how following your passion is the key step to building a rocking blog or a rocking venture. Otherwise, you attach to outcomes and since the only constant in life is change you will find your motivator appearing and disappearing, going in and out like the tide, throwing you for a look. Meanwhile the blogger who remembers their purpose will have few issues succeeding online because they always know why they are doing what they are doing. This is beyond important because we charge our actions with a certain energy, and when you act with a clear, high energy purpose, the high energy charge behind your actions will bring you great success with your start up. For me the key was blogging mainly for fun, to help people, versus doing things from fear, to serve myself. Big time shift I had, but thank goodness I made the shift because it marked the biggest surge of success I have experienced in my blogging career. All about the power of purpose, fueled by your passion. Thanks for the rocking share Rizvan. Ryan

Comment on Success Is a Habit, Not a Goal to Be Achieved by Susan Velez

Hi Michael, Success is a habit that is only developed through the daily actions we choose to take. I always make it a point to read blogs and books that help me learn more about digital marketing and becoming an entrepreneur. It's so easy to fall into the trap of just watching Netflix or television. If we truly want to succeed online, we have to take the time to fill our heads with positive information that not only shows us how to develop successful habits. We also need to take the time to implement what we read and learn. After all reading and learning won't really get you anywhere without the daily action. Thanks for sharing this message with us. Have a great day :) Susan

Hi Michael, Thanks a lot for sharing! I can still remember the day I stopped watching TV. It is not long ago before I launched my blog in August of this year. That doesn't mean that I don't like TV. I just started consuming news and content differently. It is by reading. And I found out that when I read something and write about it through comments or posts, I keep it longer in my mind. That's gives me confidence. Creating a content after consuming a content brings to me that feeling of "Oh yeah, I've made it". Once again thank you for sharing and Have a great day.

Comment on Success Is a Habit, Not a Goal to Be Achieved by Dwayne Graves

Hi Michael, This article is great in that it distinguishes between success as a collection of positive habits rather than just a goal to attain. It can be simple to start a new habit, it can be harder to maintain it. And it can be difficult to break negative habits. Many people begin each year with resolutions and well intentions to lose weight, improve finances, quit smoking, etc. They plan to create habits of going to the gym, tracking their spending, replacing smoking with gum, etc. Yet, according to Business Insider, “80% of resolutions fail by the second week of February”. You must strive to be in the 20%. I like that you mention that success is about positive habits. Just as important as doing positive habits is cutting negative the habits such as overeating, overspending, smoking when stressed, and choosing what to wear each day for Mark Zuckerberg and the late Steve Jobs. The characteristic of continuous learning is important for continuous improvement. Reading can provide you with new ideas and strategies for success in business and life. Not only can you learn new information, it could also reinforce what you have previously learned. Thank you for the great read.

I'm new to the digital entrepreneur grind and am glad you were able to put into words what I'm realizing: success isn't really an achievable goal. We can achieve goals, sure, but after I achieve goals, what do I want to do? Get back to work! haha. I think Gary Vaynerchuk does something similar when it comes to managing his day in periods of time - as in, every minute of his day is accounted for. I'm not totally there yet - but I definitely find having a task list of priorities helps me gets important things done. xoxo
