Comment on Eaten up by the east: embarrassed in Albania by Carla pratt

Mon, 27 May 2013 01:58:42 +0000

Hello all, My name is Carla and I am the author of this article. The above article represents one honest travel experience I have had in a list of thousands. It was not meant to paint a picture of myself as a 'crying baby' or 'someone unprepared for the multicultural world in which we live'. Would you have all been more engaged had I written about what a lovely time I had, in a lovely country, with lovely food and lovely people? Hell no. Stories are about experience and entertainment. This article is not a full representation of Albania. It is a mere 0.5% of a country in which I visited, experienced and loved greatly. At the time of writing, I was 22 years old. Young, fresh and very unprepared. This is something I would never apologise for. Thank you all for your comments, save for a certain commentator whom obviously has no idea of the capabilities of a "former tour guide". Carla.

Sorry to say but this review or rant should I call it, really is ridiculous, you are going on about things that you really dont have much of a clue on, Damrak does not serve the best "frites n mayonaise" chips and mayo to you *in the world! far from it!its just a load of crap swashed up to tourists I wont go getting in to where exactly you get the best Frites ,as im not awarded the ability to give that kind of standard .You sound like a posh naive quiff stuck up imbecile that has drawn Amsterdam and her redlight as a evil bastion or Cesspit !! I mean cmon their are criminal elements in all areas of trade .but yet you talk about euro trash, swill, stoners as tho your shit smells of roses?? Quotes "while I was left to my own devices, a somewhat scary proposition" I mean are you kidding me ??.Amsterdam is what it is, via the fact of its debautchery, artists, canals, underworld,Redlight etc etc.. Redlight is Amsterdam!! arts and canals is Amsterdam!! debauchery is Amsterdam..what are you talking about ??Girls are exploited!!?? hello most of the girls their are students and junkies by their own making and a very very small minority eastern european..what you are talking about is in germany,uk etc. If you want to find more posh and greater entertainment befitting you then go but dont go ilking people and cities for being what they are. this is why they are on the map and their is nothing you and your quiff can do about it.. so please stop your reviews as they are stupid and poshly biased by you being so naive . Greets Amsterdam Redlight

Subs, as the piece correctly notes - many times - it's the Caucasus (not the Caucus), so that standfirst contains a bit of a blooper.

Fair dinkum K Johnson. I am just a bit jealous, it seems you and Marty are wandering around in a place well suited for bikers with an interest in being where the average tourist joust dose not go. Drinking ice glacier water from the Chatlis Glacier and again no photo? End of Red Ink Run chapter two?. While I do not have my boring photos of where a determined rider may take a fourteen road bike on any site. Do you and Marty have a place for gawkers mate ? If yes what is that link? I understand you may have an idea about publishing something for-filling later. But gee guys your in georgia which I understand to be once part of USSR russia. Where are the peoples buildings and other stuff you are seeing and riding through? We can only dream about what you are doing! You have the wordsmith skills to describe what we want to see, where are those instructive photos you guys have? I ride a big bike but my toes and fingers are failing me, you are where I would love to be right now! On the open road and in the breese ! Edward James

K JOHNSON as soon as I noticed another Red Ink Run report about your travels. I went straight to the fridge for a largie to drink while you entertain me with more of your travels. Edward James
