Have you tried road cycling? As a longtime runner, I must say that it is quite exciting and addicting, esp. if you ride with others in a group or paceline. And it gives you a great workout without beating up your body as much as running. I know what you mean. I've been trying to take a break from running this month prior to starting to ramp up my mileage in December and then start training for a half marathon in January. Kevin you crack me up! I can SO relate to this. You know what to do so I won't tell you.. TAKE TIME OFF RUNNING! Go crazy on the elliptical! Love that exercise bike! Poolrunning! And I do know it's nothing like the real thing.. But it'll stop your behind from spreading everywhere while you wait for your %$&*O foot to heal..
