Applying for a Job, the Dos and Don'ts with your Showreel Posted By : Stuart Cole

Wed, 21 Sep 2011 00:00:00 -0400

Nowadays we expect a lot more from job applications, particularly in the creative sector, the usual CV and covering letter just won't cut it, we want to see a portfolio of work if you are applying for a graphics based job and a show-reel if your applying for a video based job. To be honest this doesn't seem so much to ask from someone when the job will be based on their video skills, however when I recently advertised for a video based position at my company I was surprised at just how many people got it horribly wrong.

How To Have Creative Thinking Posted By : John Smi

Wed, 24 Feb 2010 00:00:00 -0500

People seem to have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius. That is not true at all. The fact is, creativity is very much like a muscle that needs to be exercised in order to consistently give out great results. If you don't practice harnessing creative thinking, this skill will very much atrophy into inexistence. But keep working and this skill will soon come to you in a snap.

The Irrefutable Logic of Not-logic Posted By : Milo Bono

Thu, 09 Apr 2009 00:00:00 -0400

What is Not-Logical thinking? The very notion seems ridiculous. How could thinking that is not Logical have any significance, relevance, or value? Come to think of it - How could thinking that is not Logical even be considered as a viable "type" of thinking at all? This article will introduce Not-Logical thinking as a distinct style of thinking that is every bit as relevant, useful, and valuable, as Logical thinking. The irrefutable fact is that Not-Logical thinking is capable of producing spectacular results in situations were Logical thinking is hopelessly inadequate.

Unleash Your Creativity with Random Word Stimulation - Part 2 of 2 Posted By : Milo Bono

Thu, 19 Mar 2009 00:00:00 -0400

Learning to use Random Word Stimulation is actually very simple, its effect on the mind is automatic and inevitable. The only difficulty is in forcing yourself to change a behavior. Achieving consistent results depends entirely on learning a single basic skill. You must find a way to circumvent the conditioned response of rejecting thoughts that do not make sense and allow yourself the freedom to explore them regardless. Catch the moment when you judge "this does not make sense" and simply change it to a question of "how COULD this make sense?".

The Best Kept Secret Everyone Seems to Know - Part 3 of 3 Posted By : Milo Bono

Sun, 25 Jan 2009 00:00:00 -0500

The brain is an organ that enables thinking in the same way muscles are organs that enable movement. These organs are worthless without the driving force that brings them to life. The driving force that makes all things possible, including that of life itself, is personified as the power of thought. In spite of the many assumptions made throughout history to the contrary, the plain truth is that neither the rigors of science nor the blind faith of religion has adequately explained this miraculous phenomenon.

The Best Kept Secret Everyone Seems to Know - Part 2 of 3 Posted By : Milo Bono

Sun, 25 Jan 2009 00:00:00 -0500

Understanding human perception brings us to the somewhat esoteric subject of the human trait known as EGO. I will not belabor this discourse with an in-depth academic exploration into the Id, Ego, and Super-Ego, popularized by the Freudian structural model of the human psyche. Nor will I make any distinctions in reference to the Male Ego (Ive never even heard of a Female Ego).

The Best Kept Secret Everyone Seems to Know - Part 1 of 3 Posted By : Milo Bono

Sun, 25 Jan 2009 00:00:00 -0500

The following article deals with a difficult taboo subject that many may feel is strictly forbidden. The secret is known but rarely discussed as evidenced by the lack of reference material available. It is something discovered completely by accident in the course of company business and could have been easily ignored and swept under the rug, but to do so would be in stark contradiction with the principals engendered by company philosophy. This unusual subject is used as a springboard to touch on matters sincere to the heart and mind.

Sat, 15 Nov 2008 00:00:00 -0500

You have some great ideas. You toss them around in your mind. You tell friends about them. They go nowhere. Why? They go nowhere because of what your friends said or because you have the misconception that only a select few are able to unleash a steady flow of creative genius. And, you, of course, couldn't be one of that select group. That is not true at all.

What Is Lucid Dreaming Posted By : John Foley

Thu, 31 Jul 2008 00:00:00 -0400

Lucid dreaming is a skill that can be learned, and anyone who has the interest to learn can easily do so. There's science behind lucid dreaming, though. Lucid Dreaming is knowing that you are dreaming while you are doing it. When you know that you are dreaming, you can also alter the dream course. Lucid dreaming is usually induced by some sort of cue, something that indicates to the person that what they are experiencing is a dream, and not reality.

A Guide To Using A Crystal Ball Posted By : Gary Mullen

Fri, 16 May 2008 00:00:00 -0400

The most important first step in using a crystal ball is to do it when you feel the mood and atmosphere is right. If you have to force yourself into a session then the results will be adversely affected. Use the crystal ball in a quiet and dimly lit room. Some people find it useful to have a candle burning although others find it a distraction, just do what you feel comfortable with.

Being the Rose, an Exercise in Creativity Posted By : Emily Hanlon

Wed, 14 Feb 2007 00:00:00 -0500

We walk half asleep, experiencing only a small part of our creative passion, insight and being. Our vision is by the eyes of the mind, which are cast outwards. Creativity, however, is birthed in the cosmic landscape of the inner world, a place to which the mind's eyes are blind, a place belonging to the vision of the heart and soul. The question is, how do we awaken to the immensity of knowing contained within.
