I had the problem with creating the subscribtion, due to an incomplete example of the subscription xml at the MS EWS Example page. The example worked fine with create item, ... but not with the subscription. With a sample from the EWS SDK and the help of a guy from the technet forums I was able to impersonate a subscription. Fiddler helped me to find out, what was wrong in the example xml from MS.

The documentation is not so bad, but incomplete, I hope the book about EWS from the Exchange Guys at MS published in September will cover more details.

Are you having a problem creating the subscription using VBS or with your listener end point. One of the problem is that this is still very sparsely documented. (eg the life cycle of push event the fact its needs to be continually renew etc). I've failed to get any real good documentation on how it works which is frustrating because nobody likes working in black box.

Cheers

Hi Glen,

this article ist very interesting and helps me a lot for a solution I'm working on at the moment. Stil I face one problem when I try to subscribe the EWS Push Service to a Listener with VBS. I used the example XML from the MS Web Page, but it is not working. I wonder if you have any idea why this problem appears.
