For sale: 1984 Sea Nymph Pac-18. 6 months ago I got done completely rebuilding this boat from the ground up. The transom was rotted along with the transom skin so it was cut off and a entire new transom skin was welded in along with new wood coated in glass. All through bolts were sealed and the inside was sand blasted below the deck and coated with Gluvit. New deck and wiring. It comes with a 50hp Merc that was rebuilt a year and a half ago less than 50hrs on rebuild, impeller, plugs, and lower end oil changed 6 months ago, and has new controls and control cables, fires right up and runs great all day. Also has a 4hp Johnson kicker that has very few hours, impeller, plugs and lower end oil changed 6 months ago. Has GPS/Fishfinder combo, VHF, compass, tach, switch panel, and stereo with ipod hookup and sd card slot. All electronics were bought new 8 months ago. Has 2 fuel tanks 1-7 gallon and 1-6 gallon on a selectable switch, boat gets roughly 3.8mpg with 3 people and gear according to GPS. Has all saftey gear, anchor with chain and rode. Is plumbed for a live bait tank wich is available with sell of boat. I didn't use it and instead made a livewell/ leaning post however it is removed right now from using the boat to dive out of the last outing, can be installed or left out. Trailer is older and could use paint new bunks, winch, hitch, and jack were installed along with new wiring and new cross members 6 months ago. Is set up to be slung off of gaviota or goleta and has passed Gaviota inspection. Registered till 2013. Pink in hand for boat, trailer is electronic pink slip. These are a pair of Stinger Water Ski's. One is for double skiing the other for single skiing. They allow someone to get up using two ski's and kicking off the other to single ski. I would imagine they're fiberglass. The rubber on the foot receivers are in good shape. They have been kept indoors and not in the elements except for the several times we used them at the lake.

One blustery day last winter i decided to try my luck at sand boarding. So i grabbed an old snowboard and drove out to the Guadalupe dunes. Im sure the wind was blowing no less than about 27.6mph which made walking with the snowboard quite difficult. Good thing i decided to bring a pair of goggles and designate them for sand use only because the strong gusts of wind were blowing alot of sand around. Imagine me there, walking along, hunched over trudging in to the wind, alone because my friends were wimps and didn't want to go out on breezy day. wimps. Well anyway for some reason i decided to look up momentarily and scan the horizon, possibly to see how much further i had to go when i noticed something out in the waves. What could it be i thought? a wounded seal? a surfer? a shipwreck victim? OH SHOOT!!! THATS ONE OF THOSE SURVIVAL SUITS LIKE ON DEADLIEST CATCH! Now mind you, the past few weeks had been stormy and quite windy, so this was highly possible. So i drop all my gear and attempt to sprint to the shore where the supposed victim would wash up. i got there just about the time he was 20 or so feet away, then it hit me, that sickening feeling, that i could be staring at a dead person right now. A human being that once had feelings, thoughts, emotions, ideas and surely had loved ones back home who was now dead, floating before me. My mind flashed to when i had pulled in the parking lot, the ranger was standing there, watching me walk away, i could almost make out the name on his tag, Dan, Dave, something like that. Would he be watching with binoculars as i pull this man from the sea, would he help me carry the deceased, probably rotten corpse of a man back to the the parking lot and get him to the proper authorities, or would i have to suffer the long windy sandy terrain by myself? Then back to reality, i dash out in to the waves and pull my fellow human from the ravening sea. he is floating, barely face down, i grab on to his arm and my hands only contact the neoprene outer of the suit. Images flash though my head, did he rot away floating in the ocean for weeks? Did micro sea creatures penetrate the suit and eat the flesh from his bones leaving me holding an orange bag of bones? I pull my buddy from the sea and toss him to the wet wave soaked sand, face up this time. And there staring back at me is... and empty survival suit! I then stuck him on the board, continued my trek to the towering dunes, attempted to shred the sand, but was unable because the wind had changed [...]

Sail has been stored inside and is in great shape. Boat and trailor have been sitting in a field for about ten years. Bearings in trailor wheels must be full of mud, will not move. A few hundred dollars and a couple of weeks of diligent work could bring this project to a fun sailing vessel.

I've got two 4 horsepower short-shaft outboards I need to sell. They have been sitting in the backyard for a while, and I can't get either of them to start at the moment. The Evinrude is a 1986 model (Deluxe), and was running great last summer. I'm sure the carb needs some cleaning. The Yamaha is from the same time period, with a built in gas tank. It was running last summer as well, but was stuck in gear last time I ran it. I couldn't shift if out. I don't have the money to fix them at the moment, and they need to go.

H28 Herreshoff Ketch - Project Boat (Santa Barbara) $500

This H28 is a FarEast 29 built in Yokosuka, Japan in 1965. The FarEast modifications to the legendary Herreshoff design gives 8" more freeboard and a dog house, which together give 6'3" headroom. They raised the mast 2'9", added a bowsprit and gave her a masthead rig. She has a copper riveted, double-diagonal planked hull which is in excellent condition.
We have stopped our restoration and are selling her because we bought another boat. She still needs a fair amount of work but we have already done the biggest projects. We replaced the transom and the deck. The marine plywood is sealed with epoxy top and edges and painted with white enamel underneath. She is in a yard in Santa Barbara for $250/month. She can be worked on there. She comes with the very sturdy yard trailer. (It is called a yard trailer because it does not have brakes but we have moved it around Southern California with no trouble.) The trailer would make her ideal for a backyard project. Everything is there. She has a full compliment of sails including a self furling jib and ground tackle with good chain and anchor. The rudder is mahogany with oak cheeks. We were going to leave the rudder natural and add mahogany to the transom for a traditional folkboat look. The engine is and Atomic 4 that needs to be rebuilt.
