How long did it take you to get past the insane headaches and cravings when you stopped all caffeine? I've never made it more than about 2 days (but haven't really tried hard, either).

nightfly, thanks. I'm actually happy, because I hardly ever have them anymore now that I'm off gluten. I did have nachos that day, and I'm just going off absolutely all milk products until I'm all better. Gullyborg, no. No caffeine because of the epilepsy. I was taking Excedrin Migraine (the only thing that helps my migraines), but there's too much caffeine in them. I start having seizures right away after I take EM. And I didn't think I'd ever get off caffeine, but as soon as the neuro told me I have epilepsy, and I researched it and found out that too much caffeine is really bad... I quit cold turkey. Bikermommy, I don't think it was gluten, I think it was lactose. My gut can't take it right now.

I forget - do you still use caffeine at all? For me, the only thing that ever works is Excedrin, which is like a cup of coffee per pill, plus aspirin and acetomenaphin (spelling?). I know it's because of caffeine addiction - if I go more than a day or so without having a few cups of coffee or a few cans of Mountain Dew, the extreme headaches kick in. So of course by taking the Excedrin, I perpetuate the addiction. Dang viscious circles. But I ain't givin' up me caffeine, dang it!

Horrible. They run in my family - find a quiet dark room to lie in for a bit. Hope you feel better!

Thanks, y'all. I wore a migraine patch to bed, and it helped through the night. I'm better this morning, but it's still there and dull... Tammi, sorry you're suffering too. Lower your blood pressure! WB, I'm so glad you are feeling better.
