I know that JKR mentioned the halloween death of James and Lilly, but i dont remember which book. (I am rereading them and will post when I find it.) but halloween in not as big a deal in Britian, in the first chapter of the first book the news mentions falling satrs in Kent Yorkshire and Dundee... people celebrating bonfire night early. also know as Guy Fauks night. In memory of the gunpowder revoulition. (fun bit of history there) Kids go out that night asking for Penny for guy.

Oh. That's an automatic pingback that my blog sends because I'm linking this post from the next HP post. I don't bother going and deleting them.

yes, I know it's part 6 of your review, but why are you putting it in the comments? not the part in the main text where you link the previous, but as in, what is up with the 6th comment on this post? and it is in the comments of earlier posts, too.

It's been a while since I read the first book, but I thought it did mention in the first chapter that Dursley thought it odd to see people still wearing costumes after Halloween. Thus, from that, we can assume the Potters were killed sometime around Halloween.

it's part 6 of my review, if that's what you're asking. not part 6 of the book.

you mean where i'm linking to the previous post about the book? it's in case someone wants to read the previous parts. or are you talking about something completely different?

heh. Teddy Ruxpin. Thanks for digging up that Matthew passage. I knew the I Corinthians one, but I didn't know both tombstones were biblical quotes. Interesting.
