Still I Wait

Written May 7, 2017 a late Sunday night before the week's beginning.

Still I Wait by Robert G Parent

I sit here in the middle of my half organized living room, the copier runs to the rhythm of poetry playing on my cell phone.

Late at night coffee, tea, and lemonade, I try to stay up and do the work that's needed.  My emotions and thoughts dance their strange dance on paper.

All the stuff I don't use, the papers I don't read, and those old bills that pile up.  My dream, a designed apartment and work as an Interior Designer and writer wait for that empty space to be.

Independent Consultant's Book, Small business book, stories about entrepreneurs fill my consciousness of a past time gave birth to a dream, a dream that's not yet realized.

I ask the full moon, the wind that blows, and my unseen ancestors that fill this space of life's view-master, what am I doing right?  I still wait for my answer, my purpose.

Ignored Potential

Ignored Potential: One thought in a busy world  by Robert G Parent

Humid morning here in the other Manchester, the one in New Hampshire USA.  I'm sitting here at a local grocery store in the cafe area. I see cars pass on a busy street of people going to work, shopping, home, or wherever.  There are people in the grocery lines buying food for the day or maybe even lunch, passing each other with their carriages of groceries, talking to each other in the cafe, or just watching the local ABC affiliate on the TV in the cafe.  However in an unknown corner ignore by many by choice or because they just have their own problems is a young man, probably in his twenties, head on the table sleeping, with bags behind him, a backpack and a blanket roll from sleeping somewhere else last night other then a home. What a waste of potential. No job, No family, No friends.  There is something wrong in a society that ignores the potential of someone being able to have the opportunity to share their gift.  We all have something to teach and something to learn in this Garden of Eden.

Plant based diet on a budget

Plant based diet on a budgetby Robert G Parent I heard that going on a plant based diet will cure my diabetes, but money is a bit tight, so how is this possible?  This question lead me to a journey and an answer to improve my life.  I started my journey browsing in my local grocery stores to check local prices.  The inexpensive foods I found are dry beans, which is a good source of protein, as I've been told on the Internet, also dried beans gives my taste buds a variety of taste, and beans can also be paired with rice which is also an inexpensive food.  I look for bean recipes on the Internet and found many ways to cook them, but because of my finances I keep it basic and occasionally experiment with other ways to cook beans. Some vegetables can expensive especially out of season, so I've found that frozen vegetables to be an inexpensive alternative, which can vegetables are as well and they are easier to stock up, which can save me money to buy other foods like fruits or ingredients like different types of spices.  I've also found that Ramen Noodles, which are also easy to stock up, are an inexpensive way to pair up vegetables and gives me some variety in my meal choices.  Many times I don't add the flavor packet because I add other herb mixes to my meals.  I have found herbs can be bought inexpensively at the dollar store, which saves me money so that I can save up and buy favorite fresh herbs.  I've even heard that you can grow herbs on your window sill.  I can't because I don't have a window sill and that I'm on the north side of the building. I've discovered that I could make my own bread inexpensively in the oven or in a cast iron skillet.  I've discovered that flour is inexpensive to buy, useful for many recipes, and can be stocked up, but just remember to store it properly and be mindful of the expiration date. I've even discovered that it is possible to make my own pasta, though I haven't tried it yet.  I'm also still trying to get the bread right, one thing at a time right. For snacks, I've discovered fruits and nuts, but for most fruit it's best to buy them in season.  I love the apples and apple cider in the autumn.  Just like vegetables, I can buy fruits inexpensively in the frozen food section.  One inexpensive fruit I found is bananas because I can buy two pounds locally for one dollar, forty-nine cents a pound, better then buying candy bars.  I found the dollar store is also a good place to buy nuts and it saves me money for when I want to splurge and buy the more expensive nut, like pistachio nuts, which is better then ice cream. My journey on eating more of a plant based diet continues.  It is my hope to make more money and try out different fruits and vegetables.  I think that what we need in this world to feed its population, many of which are starving, is to grow our own fruits and vegetables locally.  I believe that there is no place where we cannot grow fruits and vegetables, from the Antarctic to the deserts and everywhere in between.  I've seen the research where we have great green house technology.  I even believe that we can grow fruits and vegetables in the cities, both small and large, by building multiple story green houses in climate controlled buildings that would open up an opportunity for more local jobs.  Anyway, I will continue to research more ways to stay healthy and live my life in freedom experimenting with new recipes from videos, blogs, and books.  I believe it is possible to cure diabetes and just be more healthier.  How about you. I leave you with my blessing of live long and prosper, and stay creative in the magic of life. [...]

The Heart of Capitalism

The Heart of Capitalism by Robert G Parent

The heart of Capitalism is within the true community.
Everyone gives to the community so the community can
give back. We share our gifts which strengthens community.
When the state does for us, our gifts die within us
because its not done by choice from our hearts.

Everything has its place.
We collect old ideas pile them on each other.
This clutters our lives and leaves no space for new possibilities
because we use our energy holding onto these old ideas,
until we run out of energy and we start to die.
We need change and to make things new.

Love yourself as who you are.
Feel the flow of creation, of the source through your being.
Detox the old ideas.  Pray for new creations.  Make your life like a vision quest and become your truth, your new story.

We all need wonder to get us through the ordinary part of our days.
Become the Dream of your mind and heart.

When we think of the decisions in the past and as to why we made them is when we realize knowledge in action -- Wisdom.

I choose the way which leads between the two great lines of force, between the mind and emotion, learning the art of creation in this Physical Realm, more freedom of the community's people is the heart of capitalism and the growth of our human kind to truly become who we decide in the art of Creation.

3 Reasons to have a Tiny House

3 Reasons to have a Tiny Houseby Robert G Parent Tiny Houses have made there way into our lives through cable television, YouTube, a family member, or a friend.  There is just something cool about a tiny house. They're neat and cheaper then a regular house, can be built on only a small plot of land from a family, friend, mobile home park, or as a traveling home in an RV park.  A tiny house can be made totally off the grid because they're cheaper to maintain.  The idea of a tiny house gives us a spiritual feeling because they have a simple elegance in their design and people see them as something different, something new in a modern technological, economic time.  There are three reasons why I think people choose to live in a tiny houses. Tiny house living is less stressful.  All you need to have in your space is just what you love, and if your surrounded by what you love, you feel love in what you do and how you live life.  A tiny house is also easier to keep clean because all you have is what you love, making it possible to have all your stuff to have their own place in your space.  A tiny house is constantly in motion and depends on what you're doing at any given time and because there is a system for everything, to wash your clothes and dishes, to store and organize the stuff you love, you'll have a place to sleep and entertain or do your hobby. The second reason people have a tiny house is their a good started home because they're more inexpensive and bigger then an Recreational Vehicle.  A tiny house can be built by their owners. Also, tiny house living gives you an ability to focus on the different parts of your life, like getting started in your career, saving money to start a family or going to college.  Tiny house living will help someone spend time with family, studying, or doing fun stuff like a hobby, music, writing, photography, art, coding, etc...  Tiny house living even helps save you money shopping, so you can save for retirement, for family time, for entertainment, or for paying off your debts. The third reason people have a tiny house is they think it's spiritual because in a tiny house you have less stuff and your able to mediate, do yoga, or spend your time figuring out unseen places and subjects.  A tiny house gives you less distractions so you can spend your time looking at the big picture or focusing on one aspect of a problem in your life or in your work.  Because you have less stuff, more time and more money, tiny house living brings you the ability to travel to nature spots like the mountains, the beach, or go out and be more involved in your community. Tiny house living gives you a less stressful life because you only care for what you truly love. Tiny house living gives you an opportunity to own your first house, which gives you more time to focus on what you truly want to do in your life.  Tiny house living gives you a chance to find out who you are and what your connection is to your community, your world, and your universe.  I can see how people feel that tiny house living is spiritual because it is an opportunity to do what people want to do with there life.  I also see that tiny house living techniques can be used for living in a tiny apartment and living a minimalist lifestyle by only bringing into your life what you truly love and truly want to do.  I believe that life gives us opportunities to learn something new about ourselves, our world, and our universe.  Is tiny house living good for you? Only you can know, but I say be open to what life brings to you because it is based on the decisions you've made in the past, even if you've forgotten them. So look at your situation in a new light and learn.  In learning, you grow in knowledge about yourself and your life.  Be open and try something new.  You know you want to. [...]

Rey is the chosen one

Rey is the chosen one.

One doesn't need to be a Jedi or Sith. One can only just be a force user. The first thing Rey saw in her vision was Luke's mechanical hand. What ever happened to that hand. A Jedi's lightsaber is tuned to a particular Jedi because of how its constructed. Clone technology is still known in episode 7. Palpatine knew how to create life, is what he told Anakin in episode 3. Rey was grown in the force from Luke's severed hand. Also, the force is not seen, only experienced. Rey is the prophecy. Remember that episode in the clone wars series. Just some thoughts to meditate on. The force is used for knowledge and events.

Hotel California

Here is another piece of writing from my English class.

Hotel California
by Robert Parent

Humans lost something when we moved from the country to the city.  And while, it has its merits, city life is nothing without country life. I remember the adventures in the woods behind my house in Auburn, New Hampshire.  I'd get up eat my breakfast of eggs, cereal, pancakes, or just something homemade.  After I put on my adventure clothes, grab my sonic screwdriver, and my magic compass, I would go out to my woods behind and start my daily adventure.  In the school where I studied had a big playground and monkey bars that us children, both boys and girls, would pretend that it was a spaceship or a boat that would take us on an adventure, at least until the bell rang.  In the field behind the school, there was plenty of room for myself and a couple of friends to play adventure games of our own creation, sometimes these adventures were based on what was on TV, like the Six Million Dollar Man or the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries.

Living in the city for years, I look around to the environment that children play have to play in. I don't see the woodlands where children could discover how truly powerful their imaginations are.  I don't see the playgrounds where children could play with each other; I only see parking lots with maybe a basketball hoop because its the cheapest play object that the city can place in a parking lot. No wonder why there is so many gangs in the city.  Children have to explore and figure out their environment.  In the country, nature gives children life to explore. The city shows children how to conquer and control.

As children grow to adulthood, they accumulate the loss from the city experience.  Someone could get in an elevator and go up to the top floor to see a panoramic view, think its good, and continue their day.  In the country, a person must have a plan to climb a mountain and when that person gets to the top, they have an experience by looking around at miles and miles of uninterrupted view, and feel great because this hard climb on this awe inspiring mountain..

Over the years of history, people had to move to the city, but we left something behind, a way of life, a respect to life, and a way to see life, this is where all the problems we have in the city can go back too.  I think that this is the reason why city planners put trees in the city to get back that “thing” lost.  But, a few trees does not a woodland or forest make.  I think people on a different level know what they have lost from moving from the country because many people take vacations to nature spots as if they try to reclaim that “thing” lost.  I have come to the city, to do my work, to live my life, but I miss those childhood adventures, climbing mount Lafayette, and the past perception of my innocence.

How to Organize your closet

Here is an informative essay that I wrote while completing my Interior Design Associates Degree. How to Organize your closet You walk into your favorite store because you want to buy some new clothes.  You try on outfits and you notice  you look fabulous in them.  Then, you realize you don't have any place to put these new clothes.  Visions of your closet stuffed full with clothes and who knows what else.  You can't even close the door properly.  In that moment, you realize that you need to organize and declutter.  Don't panic. It's easy to organize your closet if you follow these guidelines. What you first need to do is to collect  what you need, like cardboard boxes (16x16x15), packing tape, a marker, post its, and one galleon heavy duty plastic bags.  You should wait to purchase any permanent storage boxes; I'll explain later in the essay.  The cardboard boxes are obviously the most important. You don't what cardboard boxes too big because they would be to heavy after their full or too small because you'd use to many.  I find that the perfect size is 16 x 16 x 15 and I would recommend nine boxes.  You can purchase these boxes at your local office supplies store, Walmart, or your local moving store. Once you have everything you need, time blocked off, and your favorite music playing, you can start your first sort.  Tape up 3 boxes and tape one post it on each box after labeling each keep, donate, trash. If your closet is an ordinary closet, start on the floor, then do the shelf above the hanging bar, and finally do the clothes hanging on the bar.  For a walk-in closet, first start on the floor and do everything in boxes first because you may be able to reuse these boxes.  Second, do the loose stuff on the floor.  Third, do everything on shelves and in drawers.  Finally, do the clothes hanging on the bar. To help you in your sorting, if something is broken or ripped toss it because your not going to use it. If you haven't used an item or worn an outfit  in a long while, donate it.  If you are having trouble getting rid of the stuff you don't need or maybe you'll use it in the future, put it in the keep pile for now and keep sorting because you cannot organize your stuff if you don't know what you have.  Also, if you stop your first sort, you may not get around to finishing it.  Finish your sort! After you finish your first sort, get rid of trash and donations.  Sort your trash into recycle and trash, place what you recycle or toss into one galleon heavy duty plastic bags.  Put your donations into your car right away and next time you go out somewhere bring the donations to your local donations center. Now that you have the trash and donations out of your closet, it's time for the second sort – yes, the keep boxes.  This is where you start organizing – the fun part.  As you sort the keep boxes, you want to keep like with like and putting your stuff into categories like socks, undies, games, extra office supplies.  After your second sort, you can clearly see your stuff and know how many permanent storage you need and how big the boxes should be.  You can get permanent storage options at a container store, a department store, or online storage stores.  Buy what you need, put your stuff in permanent storage containers, and label the storage containers.  Labeling your containers are important because when you use something, put it back in its container.  What you need to label is really dependent on what you like.  Do you want colored labels? Themed labels? Index Cards, white or colored? Or do you just want to use post its? If you use post its, make you tape the post its on the containers; the packing tape you have is fine for t[...]

Solutions to Reduce United States Debt

Solutions to Reduce United States Debt
by Robert G Parent

There is more crime in this country because the economy is worst then the news people are telling the public. Just go to Peter Schiff’s You Tube channel to check out his videos on the economy.

How will America correct our economy? We need some really smart money people who truly want to serve their country and make it better. Here is a few ideas that I thought of. First, we need to start getting people off of government dependency. One way to do that is to repel the Affordable Care Act and free up the insurance companies to be able to sell in all states to insure competition in the market, which will bring the cost of insurance down. Another way to bring health care cost down is to fix the higher education system and not making it so expensive to go to school. Then, doctors and nurses will not need to charge so much for their services and let the market decide what their cost is. Second way for America to correct our economy is that we need to get rid of a lot of regulations in business and make it more feasible to manufacture in the United States, which will create more jobs, lower prices, and increase wages to make it easier for the people to live freer. Third, we need to get people off welfare and let welfare programs to be controlled by the individual states, which will give each state the flexibility to solve local problems in helping people get jobs and live off their paychecks.

The majority of problems that we have in this country can be solved by each state then can be solved nationally. The national government should only have the responsibility to run the military, the post office, run any big project that are too big for each state to accomplish individually, and to make sure the liberties of Americans are secured. If we did these few solutions that this writer came up with as a country, everyone’s wealth will increase in this country.

Secret of the Founding Fathers

June 21, 2015 Secret of the Founding Fathers by Robert G Parent

It's Father's Day today and I was thinking of the founding fathers when they were putting together the constitution of the United States. We don't see that type of knowledge by congressmen and politicians nowadays. Look at the last major bill the current congress passed ( the Affordable Care Act ). The putting together of that bill was unlike the founding fathers. First reason why is that only one party put the ACA together. The founding fathers worked together to put the constitution of the United States together. Second reason why the current congressmen was unlike the founding fathers in putting together the ACA is that the ACA is a longer document filled with words that confuse and distract the people as they try to read it if in fact the congressmen read it before voting for the ACA. The constitution of the United States is a much shorter document and has remained popular for 300 years. There is something different with the people elected to congress in 2008 and how congress has been running since. There was a recent pole in the country to see if the people had confidence in the government ( Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court ). We the people of the Untied States don't have confidence in our government. The funny thing is that this president was voted into office twice by the majority of the people, and in the first term of the presidency the democrats had a super majority in congress. They could have been the start of something really good, but the democrats continued to attack their brothers, the republicans. I suppose that is a major problem with a party system. People separate and work for their group instead of realizing that their group is apart of the whole. I could blame the educational system or the laziness of the people to get informed about who they elect into an office of the United States, but I suppose that is apart of a bigger lesson that the country as a whole need to learn. I wonder where will be as a nation and as a world in three hundred years from now.

The Seven Year Ache

The Seven Year AcheBy Robert G Parent             Omnicare, I thought that I would retire there.  I delivered medications to nursing homes throughout the state of New Hampshire.  Who knew how it would end for not just me but all of Omnicare's drivers because we all got laid off.  After I got laid off, I tried working for Velocity, the company that took over the driving contracts.  I thought it would be okay and maybe interesting because I haven't been self-employed.  I did learn stuff and I needed to do something.  However, my time with Velocity would be short mostly because what they did with the settlement checks, deducted thirty percent. Velocity said the reason they did this was that they figured out the settlement checks wrong.  I couldn't afford to work there anymore so eight months later – I quit.              After months, I started at a local school bus company.  It wasn't too bad to work 20 hours a week earning about $250.  My rent was at least paid. I couldn't afford cable and my food budget was small, but then the Summer came. There is no school during Summer which means no work. So, I had to do something.  I found a full time job at a cleaning company, who cleaned nursing homes.  I started at $500 every two weeks and worked my way up to management to have my own building.  I was proud of my success and tried hard to do my best, but I was not prepared for the situation that happened.  I got demoted and moved back to the original building that I started, which I couldn't handle it well; I blamed it on the training that I received.  I had to do something. So after much pondering,  I enrolled in the Interior Design Program at Manchester Community College.  I figured after two years of studying; I could quit the cleaning job and start a new career.  Well, life had something else in store for me.  So after I got fired, I started looking for another job while going to school.             I found a housekeeping job cleaning businesses for ten hours per week at $10 per hour.  I had to keep looking for another job.  A few months later, I found a job driving a 16 foot truck delivering medications and post office stuff on a route.  I was finally making a good paycheck.  It was still every two weeks, but the money was good.  I had thought that I found a job where I could caught up on my bills and continue going to school for my Associates Degree in Interior Design.  One year later, the accident happened and I got fired.             I've been out of a steady job since October 2014.  I've been trying my best to survive.  It's now February 2015.  It's cold and snowy.  I still have my apartment and my car.  I'm finishing my schooling, English class and my Internship class.  And of course, I'm still looking for a job.  Every night as I go to bed, I think, what is next to do?[...]

Star Wars: A Hero’s Journey

Star Wars: A Hero’s JourneyBy Robert G ParentI remember when Joseph Campbell was talking about myth on one of his PBS shows. One of the types of myth Joseph Campbell talked about was The Hero’s Journey. George Lucas was also a part of that show, and I remember George Lucas talking about how he wanted to create a new myth for the 21 century, which was Star Wars, which he also said it was a myth of The Hero’s Journey. I think that George Lucas did succeed in creating this myth because Star Wars has captured the imagination of many generations. While George Lucas wrote and directed the first six movies, other writers have written for the extended universe that occurred after “Return of the Jedi” and before “The Phantom Menace”, “the Clone Wars” and “Rebels” animation series, there have even been people so inspired by the Jedi that a whole new religion was created separate from the movies. Yes, I think George Lucas succeed in creating a modern myth for a new time. Still, many people don’t see the Hero’s Journey within Star Wars and have written about other reasons and other story patterns within the first six movies of Star Wars. I don’t want people to forget about why and for what purpose Star Wars was created. So, here in this essay, I show how Star Wars is about the Hero’s Journey of Anakin Skywalker and how George Lucas mirrors Anakin’s journey with Luke’s journey. And now the beginning animation rolls down the screen of our minds. Any quotes I use in this essay are from the Wikipedia article entitled “Monomyth” that I accessed on February 28, 2015 at 6:15pm at The Hero’s Journey consist of three parts called the Departure (also called the Separation), the Initiation, and the Return. The three parts can be broken down further to 17. As quoted, “’Departure’ deals with the hero’s adventure prior to the quest; ‘Initiation’ deals with the many adventures along the way; and ‘Return’ deals with the hero’s return home with knowledge and power acquired on the journey.” The first part of the Hero’s Journey is the call to action, which Anakin received after the podrace was won with his freedom. Qui Gon asks Anakin to go with him and learn the ways of the Force and become a Jedi Knight. The supernatural aid that Anakin received was the Force.Next comes crossing the threshold from the known to the unknown. Anakin didn’t do this until the movie “Attack of the Clones”. The guardians at the threshold were the Jedi Council, which at first they denied Anakin Skywalker, but by the end of the first movie he had proven himself worthy to the Jedi Council to begin the official training.Next in the Hero’s Journey is beginning the transformation and with that the hero gets a mentor or helper, which was Obi Won Kenobi. All through “Attack of the Clones” Anakin was faced with challenges and temptations.Next comes the abyss, which is where a death and rebirth comes. This comes to Anakin in “Revenge of the Sith” where he was initiated into the dark side of the Force, by killing the younglings, killing the trade federation’s leaders, and fighting his mentor in hate. After this transformation, Anakin Skywalker begun his return. Next on the Hero’s Journey comes the atonement, which Anakin did through his son Luke Skywalker when Anakin saved Luke’s life by killing the emperor. And to complete the return to the known, Anakin received “a gift from the goddess,” in this case the Force, where his son Luke Skywalker became the first of the new Jedi. Anakin Skywalker wanted to bring peace to the galaxy and he did. Anakin completed the return because he wa[...]

December 31, 2014

December 31, 2014, by Robert G Parent
I started another journal the 15th of September, 2014 with a lot of hope and expectation. In this journal, I talked about organizing, and here, in December on the last day of 2014, I started de-cluttering and organizing. I now have a plan and I started working my organizing plan.  Also, I never thought that I would’ve lost my job.  I know that I will get another full time job, but I feel that it may take another form of something that I would not have thought.  Life can be like that, uncertain, but we get what we need. I wonder though, who planned that to happen?
In the last quarter, of this year 2014, I probably have learned more and more about life and myself, then in this whole year.  Another thing that I found out is that blogs are the most inexpensive way to get one’s thoughts out to share with those who want to read blogs.
I’ve always looked to what’s next, maybe that is why I like First Night.  It’s an end but also a beginning at the same time.  It is poetic in explaining the physical moment, in each moment we are both in the past and future. I do like a good mystery.  So, what’s coming up for me, the United States, and the world in 2015, I eagerly wait for the future present to unfold. I guess all I need to do now is stay creative in the mystery of life and be inspired.

To Be or Not To Be

To Be or Not To Be
 by Robert G Parent

Part of me doesn’t want to be here in a physical body anymore. I had such hopes and dreams when I was younger, which was revived last year. Currently though, this life that I live now is sucking out my energy. My dreams are only shadow. Community is supposed to build its members up. Community is not run the way it’s supposed to be.

Obama, back in 2008, promised hope and change. The change we have now is not hopeful. It doesn’t help the country or its people. I’ve always been told that it was the Democrats that help the people, but the proof shows that is not true. Obama was elected by the majority, so it’s them to blame for not doing their research and being in tune with soul knowledge.

All I do when I’m alone is cry. How much can a person take? And if it’s true of what I hear that the economy is going to get worse, that would mean there would be more people like me, struggling. Sounds like a hopeless situation to me. I keep thinking of the phoenix days of No Eyes as written by Mary Summer Rain. I don’t know if I can hold on until it’s over and we get a better world. There comes a time when a drowning person just stops and surrenders to the final fate of the body. I am so tried that I want to sleep and transition back to spirit.

But what does death really hold for us humans as we pass from the physical. We have no proof as to what happens in death because no one has returned from death. For all I know, we just pass into the whole, lose ourselves, and just get recycled. So, now what do I do?

concerned in NH

Concerned in NH
By Robert G Parent

It's been awhile since I updated this blog. My anxiety and stress are great at this time. I've been looking for a job, a career. Trying to be optimistic, being pushed down because of the state of the economy, this current environment has left me mentally and emotionally weak. It's difficult to see hope vanish. I wonder how the majority of people feel at this moment who elected President Obama. How can those politicians forget how its like to be at your lowest point with no hope? I wonder if they have ever known. It seems that those politicians only know or strive for power, not service of the true community. We know what happened to Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith. Can people still make a difference? I don't know because my optimism is very low. It's so low that I wrote this twitter poetry: choice/none in healthcare/none in full-time jobs/not enough money to live/I take that final sleep/and weep silent tears. Where do I go now?

The Day the Music Died

I wrote this February 18, 2011. I still do wonder what is happening to this country and this world. Why are people still caught up in this socialist utopia idea?

The Day the Music Died by Robert G Parent

Somewhere over the rainbow
healthcare is free,
I mean really free,
workers make all they need
for family and stuff.
People aren't over worked
and have plenty of time
with family and friends.

Somewhere over the rainbow
there is a new order
to the world,
where people work together
for a common goal,
exploring and building
a civilization in space

Let us all eat
of the Apple
and give ourselves over
to the illusion
of a socialist Utopia.
Free will, free speech,
and free enterprise
is over.

Let us all celebrate this day,
the day the music died.

Nuclear Energy -- beyond the fear

This is something that I wrote on October 26, 2014 as I was waking from sleep in the morning.

Nuclear Energy -- beyond the fear by Robert G Parent

Nuclear Energy, just the mention of the word throws some people into fear.  This is understandable because every person on this Earth has seen the power of a Nuclear Weapon and the shear destruction of its energy when it's released.  People also see the radioactive waste left behind by the nuclear power plants as man tries to release and use the energy of the atom.  Some people fear nuclear energy for those two reason that I just gave; and because of this fear, people miss the beauty, the perfection of the atom.  Think on this, all that energy that we've seen comes from a little package that is so small we cannot see it with our naked eye.  It is perceived that nuclear energy comes from nothing, but it's not nothing. The atom is a small building block that makes everything in the Universe. Maybe if we stop fearing the energy that comes from the atom, and start seeing the atom with new eyes is when we as a human species will make that jump into a higher, more mature consciousness.  It is a good thought to ponder on, right?

my accounting class

My Accounting Class -- a lesson for all
by Robert G Parent

I had not realized that its been almost a month since I wrote on this blog.  I've been busy at work and school, but this is no excuse for forgetting my writing obligations.  That being said, I am back.  I had an assignment in class to write a self assessment, while this is a good idea for anyone to do on occasion, I'm not printing it here on the blog, but instead is something that I wrote before the self assessment which I thought is very valuable to share with others. It is about something that I hear every election by people who truly don't understand.  My prayer is that they come to an understanding on business and with that understanding make a better community. Hope you enjoy it.

I wondered how this course was going to be at the beginning. I mean how can anyone have a conversation about accounting. Well, people can discussion accounting and it can be interesting.  One thing that I learned is how to look at a company's financials and determine how the company is doing, well anyway when I learn more about accounting I could do this better.  Many people don't know what goes on behind the financial statements of a company.  I think people need to know this, to come to an understanding of the business process.  In every political election and even before and after, I hear people talk negatively about how bad are businesses.  While there are some bad businesses, the majority of businesses are good and are part of the natural ecosystem that makes up a healthy community.  The exchange of goods and services are more then just making a profit. It's about people sharing their gifts with the community that they live.

A New Community is the heart of capitalism

A New Community is the heart of capitalism
by Robert G Parent

I wrote this post in response to a You Tube video.  The titles of the video is “Dan Watkins on the Welfare State.” it is in the Ayn Rand Institute Channel at Ayn Rand Institute posted on August 13, 2014.

Don, have you ever been on welfare?  It's no easy money.  A person on welfare gives up their hopes and dreams as well. But they do this so their family can be fed and taken care of.  The young does need to care for the old.  But our whole society is not run the way its supposed to be.  We, in society, don't know the true meaning of community.  The heart of true capitalism is within true community.  Everyone gives to the community so that the community can give to them.  We all came into time to share the gift we each have.  That is what work is, sharing our gift for the benefit of others.  When our hearts are right, sharing can come.  But the problem of the past was with this thought was that the government tried to manifest it by force.  Good done by force is evil. True community has to manifest out of the hearts of humanity by their choice.  it has always been this way and will always be this way.  We do need to do something about this debt that the government did because we the people let them do it.  If we don't do something, everyone's choice will be limited until the problem is fixed. We need to have faith, heart, and courage to make the changes that we need to make.

Where is our focus?

Where is our focus?
 By Robert G Parent

People focus to much on the physical plane. Like in religion, religion is recorded history that doesn't have anything to do with spiritual law or spiritual reality. It's time that we as a human species evolve from that old belief and truly focus on the spiritual facts about our higher selves, and the totally of our one life.

Spiritually should be about our growth as children of the one God, or our God beingness. Each of us are a part of one whole, imagine if we thought as this in our current body.

Money and Economy

Money and Economy
by Robert G Parent

Money, economy
Tight, slow
The people's choices
Make it good or bad

People only just have
The money they have.
Buy one product or service,
Cannot buy the other product or service

Some businesses can succeed, others cannot.
Jobs are inconsistent
In the service sector.

Jobs come and go
People cannot plan
Because we don't know how to
Make what we're gonna need.

Money tight
Economy slow
Change our thinking
Into our abundant nature.
