Thanksgiving UnDived photo version

I am thankful to live in the comfort and security of an American home. So many Americans have made this possible.I am thankful to the founders for securing my life, my liberty and my tranquility. I can speak freely. I can worship freely. I can protect myself and my family, thanks to the fathers.I am thankful for the American economy. Economic freedom has given me the means to buy my home, my food and my comforts. I have the freedom to work for a job I enjoy, and save for my retirement.I am thankful for the Americans who built the home that shelters me from the rain and the snow. I did not have to saw my own lumber, nail my own shingles and plaster my own walls.I am thankful for the Americans who bring fresh clean water to my home. I do not have to trudge out in freezing weather with a bucket. I can bathe with my water. I can drink my water. I can cook with my water.I am thankful for the Americans who remove the waste from my home. They keep disease and vermin away. I don't have to trudge out to an outhouse in freezing weather. I don't have to dig my own landfill.I am thankful for the Americans who bring heat and light to my home. Without this energy, I would have to chop my own wood, light my own lamps and stoke the fire of my own furnace. I would not have the freedom to cook when I please. I would not be able to preserve my food.I am thankful for the Americans who grow, pick and slaughter the food I eat. I do not have to dig for potatoes. I do not have to eviscerate poultry. I do not have to wait in long lines for hours, with hunger in my belly.I am thankful for the Americans who built my car, deliver my mail and packages, and ship all the goods I buy and consume every day. They are the blood in the arteries of the country. They bend the branch of American prosperity to my home, so I can just reach out and pick the fruit.I am thankful for the Americans who bring electricity and communications to my home. I don't have to wait for letters, or send telegraphs or venture out. I have emergency services at my fingertips at all times. Thanks to you, I can rejoice in good news. Thanks to you, in tragedy, I can reach out to my family for comfort.I am thankful for the Americans who protect me and my home from fire and crime. You see the worst in us all, while you give us your best.I am thankful for the Americans who protect my home from foreign invaders. They stand between my civilization and the barbarians. They protect my American rights from the tyranny abroad.I am thankful for the Americans who will take me from my home when I die. They will let me pass with dignity and grace. My family will not have to dig my grave.I am thankful for the Americans who fix my body when it fails. They provide the skills, the medicine, the machines and the science, to help me live a long life.I am thankful for animal companions. They bring comfort and loyalty into our homes. We may live and work in places of steel, concrete and glass. Our pets remind us we always have a foot in the natural world.I am thankful for every small questing hand that grows to the old experienced hand. I thank those hands that span many years, by bearing arms, turning wrenches and shifting gears. Hands that touch young shoulders to calm young fears, and lift up cloths to wipe away tears. Our founders, who lived in the past, never experienced the wonders of their future. They still gave thanks during this holiday. America gives us so much. The least we can do, is give thanks.[...]

Preview of the New America

The subject of gayness has been in the blog, as of late. As it has many times in history, Massachusetts is leading the way. Only this time, it is damn scary, not funny. From the Kimberly Atkins of the Boston Herald:In a move slammed by Gov. Mitt Romney as “the triumph of arrogance over democracy,” lawmakers took a pass on a proposed gay marriage ban and virtually dashed any hopes voters will get to decide the issue in 2008.Same-sex marriage on the ballot:Outraged proponents of the ban loudly protested outside the House chamber, with one of their leaders waving a copy of the state constitution.“The oldest living constitution in the world, and this Legislature is thumbing its nose at it - is playing games with it,” shouted Kris Mineau, president of the Massachusetts Family Institute and spokesman for “That’s not democracy. Welcome to the People’s Republic of Massachusetts!”Backers of same-sex marriage, currently allowed in the state, said the issue is a matter of civil rights that should not be decided by voters. Lawmakers must approve the proposed constitutional amendment two consecutive times to clear the way for the issue to make the ballot.Backers of the citizen initiative gathered 170,000 signatures, more than enough to put it before lawmakers. Under Massachusetts law, it needs the approval of at least one quarter of the Legislature, or 50 lawmakers.Romney said the 109 lawmakers who voted to recess the Constitutional Convention session, virtually killing any chance of the question appearing on the 2008 ballot, “disgraced their oaths of office.”By recessing until Jan. 2, the last day of the legislative session, lawmakers made it highly unlikely the measure will be acted on before the session ends.Sen. Jarrett Barrios, a Cambridge Democrat who is gay and married, pointed to his wedding ring and warned that putting the question on the ballot will open the doors to a campaign vilifying gays.“You don’t have to live next to us, you don’t have to like us,” said Barrios. “We are only asking you today to end the debate so that we can sleep easily knowing that while you may not live next to us or even like us that we will at least have the right to enjoy the same rights the rest of you enjoy.”Insol: End the debate. Squash the discussion. That is what the Gay fascists in Mass. Think of the process of free speech. In spite of their cultural stereotype, they some of the most violent, uncivil and narcissistic people mingling about in their ranks. When they don’t get their gay way, you had better get out of the way.Gov.-elect Deval Patrick favors gay marriage, which was legalized by the state’s highest court in November 2003. Romney, aggressively courting conservatives and the evangelicals in his bid for the White House, has made national headlines attacking it. Praising the 87 lawmakers who voted against recessing, including Senate President Robert E. Travaglini, Romney said, “Whether or not you favor same-sex marriage, you should be very concerned that the rule of law and sovereignty of the vote of the people have been trampled.”What Mitt is talking about is article 48. -- JacobyThe Massachusetts Constitution could not be clearer on the point. Article 48, which establishes the right of initiative and referendum, specifies that when amendments proposed by initiative petition come before the Legislature, a roll call is mandatory. They ``shall be voted upon" as written, the Constitution directs (unless amended by a three-fourths supermajority). What's more, the Legislature is permitted to take action on them ``only by call of the yeas and nays." (Italics added)Lawmakers are not given a choice in the matter. The Constitution requires them to vote. If it didn't, initiatives opposed by the legislative leadership could be aborted by simply refusing to bring them up for a vote. Instead of operating as a check and balance on the Legislature, Article 4[...]

Worldwide Printing Press

(Sung to the TV classic 'Rawhide')

Keep movin', movin', movin',
Though they're disapprovin',
Keep them dollars movin' Worldwide!
Don't try to understand 'em,
Just print the stuff and damn 'em,
So, for now, we'll be living high and wide.

My banker's calculatin'
An empty wallet will be waitin', be waiting at the end of my ride.

Print 'em up, head 'em up,
Head 'em up, move 'em out,
Move 'em on, print some more .. Worldwide!

Throw 'em out, write 'em down,
write 'em in, let 'em out,
Cut 'em right, write 'em in Worldwide.

Rollin', rollin', rollin'
Though the debt be swollen
Keep them dollars rollin'

Rain and wind and weather
The presses roll forever
Wishin' we had gold bars by our side.
All the things we'll be missin',
Good vittles, gas.. then listen,
As Ben puts our savings on the slide...

American Thinker:

Publishing an article of everything everyone on my sidebar and myself have advocated for a DECADE.

The Audacity of Dissent is now ripe.

My point is: There is an enormous volume of blog content, and commentary, which can be summoned, to refresh peoples minds, with the facts already discovered and expressed.

Much of this is good, solid info. We all had a good laugh over it, in our own interactive correspondence, but now it matters. Spread the data around.

A reprint of a 2005 race card post

Why? Because it is more relevant than ever, given the latest race card hysteria, by the NAACP. Given it was a link love post, it is interesting how many of my blogger friends were also observant of the Katrina race card, being abused for political purposes. This is an Insolublog link love letter on recent events. My sidebar readers can look for their links within the content. If I didn't include you, it wasn't personal. (Katey you need permalink capability.) I was looking for recent posts which fit the theme. The theme concerns all of the absurd accusations of racism in the Katrina disaster. If we had MLK's dream in mind, it would be illegal to ask a persons race on a job application. Gathering racial statistics is never used for its quoted intention, to keep a level playing field. It's used and abused like a blunt force weapon, in race based extortion and promotion. The population race statistics are being used in the same way, by all of the usual Professional Victims. The only white racists are the ones who shackled poor minorities, in the chains of government entitlement programs. The only white racists are the ones who told them they don't need to achieve, because the government will take care of them. The LBJ war on poverty produced projects, not progress; There are genuine statistics to prove that assertion and its failure to produce any self sufficient results, like no reduction of poverty. A self sufficient person becomes a wealth producer in society. They do not become the recipient of another producer's wealth. Here are the gifts of the LBJ and Robert Byrd style democrat: No property ownership. No social status. No paternal family accountability. No choice in education, other than the incompetent government bureaucratic one. No useful, merit based training in economic responsibility. (Which is why they go off buying $800 purses with food money) No dignity. No long term hope of stability. No concept of American opportunities. Only a head full of resentment and a stagnant pessimistic heart. What they get is a hand to mouth check from the government. How can the poor ever be anything but poor, under these physical and psychological conditions? Opportunity means hard work, not handouts. But when you are free to have it and it lies before you, you are responsible to make the future you want. This means taking risks. This means working hard. This means you might fail, and it might be hard to get up!The real white racists just give the poor minorities a meager stipend, a pat on the head, instructions on who to vote for and a smelly bus ride to the polls. So what type of government do you get, when this vote is given form and function? It wasn't conservative white politicians who dropped the ball here. I would remind our friends from the left that poor african Americans are not minorities in the city of NO, because they are in the majority! Was the mayor of NO white? Was the governor of LA a member of the conservative blogosphere? Are the looters we see in most of the pictures, like Dr. Phat Tony's post, white? Was William Jefferson, who diverted National Guard rescue resources, to pick up luggage at his home, a white congressman? Are those all white officials and community 'leaders' pushing their faces in the cameras and hurling racial epithets? Where are the re-builders in this list?Where is the leadership?Where is the shared accountability and multicultural unity they like to lecture us about?Who was stepping up to be a source of positive action before, during and after Katrina? This is the government freely chosen , through the democratic voting process, by the same souls supposedly empowered by liberal social programs. Is this is what the taxpayers want and expect for their entitlement dollar? As soon as the government checks are interrupted, the hand is bitten. The hand is then stitched back up and stuck right back in the jaws of the Pitt Bull's mouth. We are then[...]

Stunningly Georgeous Kickback

The latest race card attempt...

Here's the original volley...

Some original inspiration...

(object) (embed)

The race card is in serious overdraft. Now it's time to pay up.

Thanks Andrew. What needs to be done... Every interview, EVERY SINGLE ONE, must be shot and documented by a citizen journalist. No person should submit themselves to filming, without an objective parallel source filming the same shot.

Editing and context framework are the weapons of the MSM.

The Kennedy Dynasty is Dead

This is my favorite attribute, of the election in Mass.

I have been suffering through so many years of listening to Kennedy legacy rubbish, spewed into our faces, every time this unpunished criminal waddled to the polls to be re-installed.

I can only hope that this is truly a new American revolution.

Badda Bing!

Barney Frank

We have a TPS (Tea Party positioning) guided JDAM, headed for your fat ass target, next November.

It could be a Brown landslide.

When I voted this morning, the ground support for Brown was very uncharacteristic of Massachusetts.

He's leading in typical Bell Weather towns:

If Coakley 'wins', it will be by the exertion of massive voter fraud.

The Real Father Barry

Not the one elected president in 2009, but this one, played by Karl Malden:

(object) (embed)

Note that this masterpiece is NOT about the exploitation of the common man, by evil capitalists. It is about the brutal abuse, beating and robbery of the common man, by New Jersey thugs, who plugged themselves into the bureaucracy, to steal the common man's meager wages. No doubt they learned this from the Chicago crowd.

Stall the Juggernaut

From Newsmax:

It would be a historic win for the GOP: The last time a Republican represented Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate was in 1980.

The political stakes could hardly be higher. A Coakley defeat would be a devastating blow to Democrats' plans to transform national governance. It would further alarm already-skittish Democrats about their electoral prospects in the November midterm elections, and would cost Democrats the 60th vote that they may need to pass their healthcare reform compromise.

I hope with all the power in my fellow Massachusetts citizens, that we can stall the socialist juggernaut, until the 2010 general elections.

I will be voting for Scott Brown

This could be the most important, historical vote of my entire life.

Another Gorey Fact

The very first question in the National Geographic Global Warming Quiz, assumes that you actually accept that it exists. It then asks you whether the cause is 'natural' or not.

Yeah. That bears no resemblance to the question: 'So, have you stopped beating your wife and kids Mr. middle America?'

McLame Rides Again

So, the champion of Washington D.C. Rino surrender and prostration is now experiencing a new and vital blood circulation. Yes John McCain is now talking about the liberal crusade.

Well, no #$%#$% Sherlock. What finally opened your eyes?

It certainly wasn't the American people. HERE THEY ARE, TRYING TO TELL YOU ABOUT IT, WHILE YOU SHOO'ed them off as if they were flies on shite...

We do not want to hear about your slow witted ignorance John.

Yeah. (h.t. IOTW).

National Grid's Nosy Green Bull Feces

I pay my bills, like everybody else, on time and in full. The last thing I need is an obnoxious, nosy company, gathering statistics, to compare me to my neighbors and sending me a guilt mongering letter about it, with the word YOU in bold.

Two of my three nearest neighbors are often absent. One for months at a stretch. There is no way there are 100 homes nearby, as small as mine.

So, National Grid, go shove your letter up the backside of the moronic teenage zit factory that is programming your green campaign.

True Sacrifice

Hu Jia and Teng Biao, wrote a letter about China, prior to the Chinese Olympics. After it was published, Hu Jia was beaten and arrested. He was then imprisoned with the charge "inciting to subvert state power".Hu Jia was denied the Nobel Prize today, because there can be only one. So, it must go to the One.By Hu Jia and Teng BiaoSaturday, April 5, 2008This week, a Beijing court sentenced human rights activist Hu Jia to 3 1/2 years in prison for subverting state authority and to one additional year's loss of his "political rights." He was arrested in part for co-authoring, with Teng Biao, an open letter on human rights. Below, The Post printsHuman Rights Watch's translation of the Sept. 10, 2007, letter. On July 13th 2001, when Beijing won the right to host the 2008 Olympic Games, the Chinese government promised the world it would improve China's human rights record. In June 2004, Beijing announced its Olympic Games slogan, "One World, One Dream." From their inception in 1896, the modern Olympic Games have always had as their mission the promotion of human dignity and world peace. China and the world expected to see the Olympic Games bring political progress to the country. Is Beijing keeping its promises? Is China improving its human rights record? When you come to the Olympic Games in Beijing, you will see skyscrapers, spacious streets, modern stadiums and enthusiastic people. You will see the truth, but not the whole truth, just as you see only the tip of an iceberg. You may not know that the flowers, smiles, harmony and prosperity are built on a base of grievances, tears, imprisonment, torture and blood.ad_iconWe are going to tell you the truth about China. We believe that for anyone who wishes to avoid a disgraceful Olympics, knowing the truth is the first step. Fang Zheng, an excellent athlete who holds two national records for the discus throw at China's Special Sport Games, has been deprived of the opportunity to participate in the 2008 Paralympics because he has become a living testimony to the June 4, 1989[,] massacre. That morning, in Tiananmen Square, his legs were crushed by a tank while he was rescuing a fellow student. In April 2007, the Ministry of Public Security issued an internal document secretly strengthening a political investigation which resulted in forbidding Olympics participation by 43 types of people from 11 different categories, including dissidents, human rights defenders, media workers, and religious participants. The Chinese police never made the document known to either the Chinese public or the international community.Huge investment in Olympic projects and a total lack of transparency have facilitated serious corruption and widespread bribery. Taxpayers are not allowed to supervise the use of investment amounting to more than $40 billion. Liu Zhihua, formerly in charge of Olympic construction and former deputy mayor of Beijing, was arrested for massive embezzlement. To clear space for Olympic-related construction, thousands of civilian houses have been destroyed without their former owners being properly compensated. Brothers Ye Guozhu and Ye Guoqiang were imprisoned for a legal appeal after their house was forcibly demolished. Ye Guozhu has been repeatedly handcuffed and shackled, tied to a bed and beaten with electric batons. During the countdown to the Olympic Games he will continue to suffer from torture in Chaobei Prison in Tianjin. It has bee[...]
