While reading MUTINY by Hagberg and Gindin about the true 1975 story of the Storozhevoy that inspired the fictional HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER by Clancey, Mamonovo Airfield was mentioned. So, I found your article that answered many questions I had been accumulating about the Kaliningrad area. Great story about your experience. How is the little one? Cheers!

So the moral of the story is that a small sign of respect for some local flavor can go a long way when you're an American. Glad your bribe was just a bottle of spirits that YOU got to drink. Nice. ;-)

I believe what you said made a bunch of sense. But, what about this? what if you were to create a killer post title? I am not saying your information is not solid, however suppose you added a post title to possibly grab a person's attention? I mean Soaking in the great divide | Jacob Resneck is a little plain. You ought to glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they create post headlines to grab people interested. You might try adding a video or a pic or two to grab readers interested about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it could make your website a little livelier.

Dipping the dogs in buns into the brandy helps you eat them faster. And being the American, you are bound to be unlikes.
