Since his start here in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton just a season ago Ben Lovejoy has posted some great numbers as a defender in the 2007-08 Regular Season Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2 goals 18 assists and during the Calder Cup playoffs he posted 2 goals and 8 assists.

Tonight was the first pre-season game at the Wachovia Arena, the WBS Penguins took on the Binghamton Senators in front of the home crowd. Seemed to be a decent turn out for a pre-season game.

Todd Reirden has been named assistant coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Monday by Pittsburgh Penguins Assistant General Manager Chuck Fletcher. Reirden, WBS Assistant Coach37, spent last season as an assistant coach with the Bowling Green Falcons (CCHA).
