Wolf Pack Hunt Down Penguins

Not long into tonight's game the Penguins would take two back to back penalties giving the Wolf Pack a glorious gift of a 5 on 3, and the Pack took the gift and connected on both ends of the 5 on 3 taking a 2-0 lead on the Pens early in the game.

This makes it 2 losses and 1 win so far this season against the Bears. The Pens just couldn't get it done tonight not that they weren't trying Neuvirth stopped 27 out of 28 shots he saw keeping the Pens on the ropes. Meanwhile sickness and injuries didn't help the Pens either from what we have found out Eric Tangradi was scratched tonight because of illness, and with the call ups the WBS Pens are stretched.

Tonight the WBS Penguins went to Albany to take on the Albany River Rats at the Times Union Center. The first period of the game started off with a bang as WBS Caffaro and the Rats Goertzen squared off at the four second mark, trying to set a tone for their respective clubs.

The Penguins were missing a few guys tonight because of call ups as they took the ice at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza that's right the Mohegan Sun Arena, but they seemed to do alright. The bounces went their way and the plays seemed to go good. It was a first game for many, first that is in goals Eric Tangradi, Zach Sill and Brian Strait scored their first pro goals.

Last nights game was a maybe 20 minute game at best. For being a team at the bottom of the division Norfolk sure gave the Pens a time. The Penguins just looked terrible. Passes were sloppy not get up and go to them just terrible.

The WBS Penguins traveled to Manitoba for two games against the Moose the first of which was tonight. The Pens played a tough game as did the Moose limiting each other to very few shots on goal. The Pens went as few as 4 shots on goal in the second frame and as few as 22 on the game 21 during regulation play.

The WBS Penguins took a bus trip after last night's win over the Hershey Bears to Bridgeport to take on the SOund Tigers. This is the second time the Penguins have faced the Sound Tigers this season, the last time wasn't so good for the Pens either.

The WBS Penguins took on the Hershey Bears tonight at the Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township. It was a decent home crowd for the Penguins tonight as they took on their arch rival getting loud when needed and supporting the boys. The home crowd was letting the Ref's know exactly what they thought of some of the unbelievable calls and non-calls, well we wont beat a dead horse there the good thing is the Penguins came out on top.

For the second straight game Mark Letestu is seeing stars, that's right tonight he earned the number 1 star of the game by helping his team to a 4-3 victory over the Syracuse Crunch with a goal during the shoot out and an assist on the game tying goal.

It was a good game for the Pens seeing how they dropped two games last week. The Pens offense was looking good tonight as they jumped out to an early lead just :42 in Chris Conner found an opening and put the Penguins on the board.
