By: Spike Sat, 10 Sep 2011 21:30:26 +0000 Hi matt,Really informative article, Love the whole Q & A thing. I'll certainly be keeping my eyes out for people selling links and submitting reports accordingly =)I do have one question...I have noticed a few competitors for my own websites have links from paid link and "high page rank seo" directories. I feel that this is an unfair advantage they have over me and they are purposely manipulating your algorithm to rank above resources that are genuinely popular with real internet users. Do you intend to bring a way for people to 'snitch' on the competition, so to speak, Like on a case by case basis of each link, or will you just be dropping entire link selling directories from your search results?Hope this reaches youAll the best

By: Joe Sun, 14 Aug 2011 02:33:53 +0000 Hi Matt,We have noticed websites buying other websites just for the sole purpose of getting their link juice. Isn't this the same as having a doorway site?Regards, Joe
By: Priyanshu N Fri, 12 Aug 2011 18:47:04 +0000 What happens to the spam paid links after reporting to google webmaster's consol. Does Google down grades the ranking of those sites ?, then why is there is so many sites still offering paid link services?
By: Steve Napier Thu, 11 Aug 2011 21:28:57 +0000 Hey Matt, on the off chance you read this would you give me a quick head's up on something I have not come across before. Here in the UK there is a government department selling a product to the public on a commercial basis, there are lots of private companies trying to compete in the industry but this gov.uk ranks top of Google! They run this commercial activity on a .gov.uk domain which is against the rules of such a domain extension. Would google act on a report on this and consider an index removal? If so, how can we report it and where?Cheers, Steve
By: chris Sun, 07 Aug 2011 12:21:10 +0000 The sad thing is google seems to do nothing about these sites, it even ranks sites that offer to sell links, maybe if they got rid of these things could be a little fairer.
By: John Plinkers Wed, 03 Aug 2011 08:09:11 +0000 New to the world of SEO I've been very wary of the whole topic of paid links, and how they skew the organic search results. I'm relieved to see that there is a reliable method implemented by Google for reporting this sort of malpractice. Thanks Matt.
