Three days after the Mets scratched his last start because of right biceps discomfort, Noah Syndergaard departed the Mets' 23-5 loss to the Nationals in the second inning with what the team called a possible lat strain. Syndergaard appeared to grab the area under his right arm after throwing a pitch to Bryce Harper with one out in the second.
