You have a good voice and clean, clear audio; the sound has a refreshing quality. What is your working distance to the microphone? Do you use a mesh pop filter? If so, what is the distance between the filter and the microphone and the distance between the filter and your lips? What is the position and angle of the microphone relative to your mouth? (Examples: => capsule centered and at eye-level, pointing downward => capsure centered at mouth-level, pointing straight toward mouth => capsule at 45 degrees, at mouth-level, pointing toward mouth (Here a photograph would be worth a thousand words.) How do you handle room reverberation, echoes, etc.? Do you use a blanket or a square of sound-absorbing foam behind you? or a box of foam surrounding the microphone? Are you standing or seated while you record? Are you using compression? If so, what is the ratio? Thanks. What are the parameters you give to LAME?

Michael, thank you for taking on this project. I listen to your NET Bible podcasts frequently and find them uniquely helpful because they are 'listenable', i.e. neither monotone nor overly dramatic, a 'story-telling' pace which allows one to meditate upon and understand the words, and a pleasant-sounding tone of voice which soothes rather than irritates or distracts. I look forward to your completion of this task. May the Lord bless your efforts.

I have only just discovered your podcast and I would like to add my thanks to those above. What a wonderfully clear voice, with such beautiful inflection - it really brings God's Word into focus for me! Quite unlike any other reading I have listened to in the past. I work and have a young child myself and am struggling to find the time to read my bible. Listening to you while I do my chores keeps me in touch with the Lord daily and prompts me to meditate on His message and His desires for my life. God bless you and I pray He will enable you to continue this excellent work. Thank you for making time in your busy life and I pray His peace upon you and your family.

Wow. It seems like a long time since someone has posted. Please be encouraged to continue. GOD has obviously put this on your heart. Your voice and inflection does justice to the Word. I continue to download and enjoy your work. Now that you have whole books available have you thought about making the chapters into a whole audio book, not just a collection of podcasts. I often listen to several chapters at a time and it would be great if they flowed one into another rather than broken up by the intro and outro. Also my I pod won't play one podcast after another. I have to navigate and start each podcast separately. I would be happy to help with assembly if needed. It is likely that an audio book would be easy to assemble. Have a book intro and outro with all the chapters flowing together. I am sure that your time is precious now that your family is growing. But, I am sure that there are many who would volunteer and help. To listen to a whole book straight through would be a blessing. God bless your efforts.

Hey Michael, I also found your podcast in iTunes. This particular Bible podcast you created is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. I love how you do the recordings by chapter and label them by chapter as well. It makes it super easy for me to find books and chapters in seconds. The translation is very easy to understand. You have a pleasant speaking voice and you seem to contemplate everything you read, which makes it much more interesting and "believable". I'm very pleased with it all. I have a really hard time sitting down to read because I get really sleepy - it never fails! So hearing the Word is a much easier way for me to get through the Bible. Brother, I'm anxious to get to Ezekiel, Daniel, Job, Jeremiah, Revelation, etc. When do you expect to release more? =) I thank the Lord for your dedication to this project! Peace and blessings to you and your family in YAHUWAH's name!

Thanks for freely sharing this podcast, Michael. =) I found it on iTunes--it was among the top Bible podcasts. And rightly so, I think-- all the other readings I've come across are either a bit monotonous or a bit cheesy (overdramatized). I appreciate your earnest, even tone, and when&where you emphasize words. It's helped the epistles sound more like letters from actual people than performances for the religious. Once I reached an age where I could decide, my father asked if we'd rather not go to church on Sunday. Of course as a 13-year-old who had school Monday-Friday, spent all Saturday doing chores, I jumped at the chance to not have any commitment on Sunday. After I got out of school I searched in vein for a religious experience that suited me, I found none so again I turned my back on religiousness. I find now, that we may be reaching the end times that I must examine my path once again. While I still spurn so-called organized religion I turned to your podcast so that I may hear the word of God and perhaps through that hearing when the time of the end comes (possibly in May 2011) that I will at least get a favorable mark. I'm sure my sinful ignorance will not allow me to be raptured but perhaps I will see the favor of the lord as I move through the trials of the Horsemen of the apocalypse and be judged clean at the end of days. God give me strength.

One of my goals in life is to 'read' the bible, but now that I'm sharing the commitment with you Mike to see this through, I know that I just need to listen to your podcasts everyday and I can see that I'll get there. Your intonation, pronunciation and clarity of voice really sets the word on fire! Thank you for blessing me with the podcast. I do feel that my life with God has changed since you introduced it. After all, Faith comes by HEARING the word of God, and your hard work and time commitment has affected not only my daily commute, but all aspects of my life. Every day on my way to work, you remind me to lift that day to God, to get him involved in each aspect of it. Somehow, by giving the day to him, I fit in the important bits that matter. Your wife is wise; you do have a gift and a ministry to do this. Your intonation tells the passion and truth of each chapter, pausing in just the right places. I don't think there are many people that read books aloud that are actually story tellers. You definitely fit that bill! You may not be aware of the fruit of your work, but it is there. I'm in the UK. Your fruit is international thanks to the web. Be encouraged. Be blessed. Praying for you. Paul would say 'Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ'. To that I say AMEN!!!

Michael, many thanks for all that you do to bring God's Word to others. I agree with John that it is rare to many in our society to bring up out shortcomings, but acknowledging and confessing our shortcomings is the first step in the healing process. It's very easy now for us as Christians to get distracted by work and our activities. A strong man admits his weaknesses and knows that he can't combat it alone. David, I'll pray for you and your wife. Zig Ziglar quoted from someone once that troubles do come, but always remember to go back to the basics and court your wife like you did when you first met her so that you can fall back into love. Michael, Thank you so much for providing an explanation. You didn't have to do that but you chose to make yourself vulnerable by bringing up your own shortcoming. That is SO RARE in society now, even among the church. If revival comes, I believe it will be from God's work by His Holy Spirit in His children of character ie Christlikeness. May God give us more contemporary examples of uncompromising character in out day of cynicism and selfishness. Praise God for you and your work Michael. May He be exalted in people's hearts because of His work through you.

I was just listening this morning on the way to work (I consume about 3 of your podcasts per commute) and was delighted to hear this particular podcast come up, and to know that this was not dead in the water. P.S. As a former radio reader for a local FM radio broadcast, I would be happy to help with the readings. Please let me know if there is anyway I can help. I enjoy reading books aloud, and what better than the Word of God?

Thank you for your explanation for the unplanned absence. I greatly appreciate what you are doing, both with the reading and I respect your need for giving quality family time. You will be held regularly in my prayers, as the daily reading is always life giving as God's Word is intended. May His blessing flow to you and your family for your work and dedication. Thank you.

So glad to see you updating again. I would like to see John 10 redone. There's a lot of mic noise and the reader reads too slowly, makes me feel like I'm in a preschool class. I use your podcast daily. It's the best there is.

Michael Lee has a voice that makes your ears prick up. Clarity and pacing in his reading is excellent. My favorite part of this reading was in verse 43, timestamp 5:17-- "When He has said this, he shoulted in a loud voice: Lazarus, come out!" ...Gave me goosebumps :-). Really brought the story to life for me. Great job, Michael. You've got a voice for radio. What do you do for a living?

I love the podcast but I'm concerned that there haven't been any updates since February, 2010. Where did you go? I pray that all is well with you.

I have been enjoying your podcasts for at least a year via iTunes. I leave them permanently on my iPod too. I am curious why you've stopped recording? I know you took a couple of needed breaks; perhaps you're taking the summer off? Your voice is super expressive and great for just this type of media! I wish you the best.
