Comment on Stop Stealing Dreams – Manifesto on Changing the US educational system by Anthony StClair

Reading this now, thanks for the recommendation. You're right—it makes you want to cry, and then figure out something better for our kids. The part sticking with me most is how so much schoolwork is done in isolation—yet most productive work also utilizes a lot of group activity and expertise.

Comment on Half way? through life thoughts by pam

Sean, I'm staring down the barrel at 50 and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. I kind of wish I had my 30 year old body, absolutely, but I feel hugely alive. It's not like I've crested some half life peak and it's down hill from here, it's more like, oh, I dunno... you know when you go on a long hike and you reach the first plateau? You can't see behind you so well but maybe you're looking forward at the summit you're trying to reach. It's all UPHILL and the further you get, the better the view.

Love this video! Kids have a way of letting adults know just what "is" important. In this case, it "isn't" "meaningful connections"! Soooooo funeeeeee!

Absolutely brilliant, Sean. But I still want my MacFlurry. Let's go back and get it!

You feel sorry for Cleveland? They had 7 years to build a great team around him and failed. How many years would you expect to hang on to your best staff if you never gave them what they needed to shine? I'm not sure why Americans are so upset with the guy. He took a HUGE paycut to try and achieve his goal and dream in life. I always thought that was part of the American dream?!

Comment on Twitter use in Corporate Brands by Elliott Ng

Some cool thoughts here. I don't agree with the Google analogy though. Google search is *not* social (at least so far). It is purely about information. Twitter is like the phone, or IM, or email. But I think your basic point is true. There will be new ways for businesses to use Twitter just like businesses have used the phone, IM, and email (inherently social apps.) Great conversation and I'll look forward to continuing it on our blog!

Comment on Last Travel Sites Standing Alone: BootsnAll Travel Network and Virtual Tourist by Alex

Wow, this is news to me. I'm surprised many of these sites have been gobbled up. WikiTravel? That site must earn only $100,000 a year in revenue. Or less!

It's been 13 yrs since I was there and at that time I swore I would be back within a year...hmmn so sad!!
