"Good Day" and Goodbye

Sun, 01 Mar 2009 23:48:34 +0000

A national treasure has gone the way of all the earth. Paul Harvey has died. Radio will never be the same. I'm still stunned in learning of Mr. Harvey's death. Like others in this great nation, I grew up glued to the radio when his radio show came on. Although I never met Paul Harvey, I count him as a friend and I will miss him greatly. "Paul Harvey was one of the most gifted and beloved broadcasters in our nation's history," so says ABC Radio Networks President Jim Robinson -- and I agree. I also know that Paul Harvey is happy to once again be in the company of his wife Angel who preceded him in death. Listen to Paul's voice one last time.

Colbert Report: During an interview on Comedy Central's "Colbert Report", former Republican presidential candidate Pat Buchanan compared the Iraq war to World War II. Buchanan, who was promoting his new book, said that both wars could have been avoided, and that Germany and Iraq "did not threaten the United States." Buchanan went on to say that he "does not believe a war with Iran is necessary", and disagrees with John McCain about meeting with Iran, saying "we outta talk to the Iranians."

Congress Just Does NOT Get It

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. The Senate's leading climate-change bill, while aiming to combat global warming by reducing carbon dioxide in the air, actually poses "extraordinary perils" for Americans and the economy, according to a new study from The Heritage Foundation. Kessler makes it clear that if we win this war, it will be because of the FBI and CIA professionals who have protected America since 9/11. If we lose the war, it will be because of distortions by the mainstream media, those who leak operational secrets to them, and politicians who undermine those who are trying to protect us." —R. CNN Malpractice: D.C. Snipers

Mon, 29 Oct 2007 00:04:55 +0000

By leaving out all these facts — never even mentioning that the subjects of its investigation had converted to Islam — CNN committed professional malpractice. Its "special investigation" is nothing more than a politically correct whitewashing of the truth aimed at pleasing Muslim groups like CAIR, which has argued that "there is no indication that this case is related to Islam or Muslims."

Constitutional Myth or Misconception #5

Tue, 18 Apr 2006 00:52:25 +0000

Myth or Misconception #5: The Constitution is a document for lawyers and judges. Stephen Markman, who teaches constitutional law at Hillsdale College , was appointed by Governor John Engler in 1999 as Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court and subsequently elected to that position. Prior to that he served as United States Attorney in Michigan (appointed by President George H. W. Bush); Assistant Attorney General of the United States (appointed by President Ronald Reagan), in which position he coordinated the federal judicial selection process; Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution; and Deputy Chief Counsel of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Justice Markman has written for numerous legal journals, including the Stanford Law Review, the University of Chicago Law Review , the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform and the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy. The following is adapted from a speech delivered on April 29, 2003, at a Hillsdale College National Leadership Seminar in Dearborn, Michigan. This is the 5th podcast in a series of eight. This is reprinted and podcasted by permission from IMPRIMIS, the national speech digest of Hillsdale College,

Funny Clips

Thu, 06 Apr 2006 00:55:27 +0000

The Media Research Center (MRC) roasted the most outrageously biased liberal reporters of 2005 on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hundreds of leaders gathered to roast the liberal media and I want to share some of the highlights. In this recording Mark Levin is presenting a series of unintentionally humorous video clips from network newscasts, including a "Never Used!" post-it on a CBS News Standards guidebook. It is so well done, that you don’t even need the video. If this clip makes you mad or causes you to laugh, please pass it on to your friends and continue to share the truth about the liberal media. More is available at If you still want more, then send me an email and I will forward to you the “MRC News Report for the Week of 4/3/06" with additional information.
