Comment on Robot Store by mktgovercoffee

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 21:24:26 +0000

I agree, it will have to be baked into tools and the good vendors are already clear on saying "It has to be tailored to your business, there is no 'one size fits all' predictive modeling" The other thing for me is that I think everyone is layering AI on top of existing things, I think the big stuff will be brand new things that nobody ever considered. Kind of like how there used to be yellow pages for websites before somebody finally figured out that there should be search engines.

Comment on Robot Store by Teresa Blaes

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 18:29:42 +0000

I think honestly that ai is not something that the average business will be able to use, until someone brings it down, and explains how, the average marketer can use it. I guess what I'm saying, is there is a differenence between big data, and marketing.

In response to your request for input about Slack, personally, I'm a big Slack fan. I use it at work, however I'm also part of a Slack community for a photography podcast called Tips From The Top Floor. To join the Slack team you just had to send an emailed request to the podcast host and he would add you manually. I find that the discussion there is always helpful, relevant, spam-free and nicely organized with topical channels. I say go for it.

In regards to what you mentioned about Google offering to run adwords campaigns, I heard the same thing from a friend who is in the process of applying to be a "Google Partner". They are already setting up campaigns, now they will run them as well. Google has done quite a bit of experimenting with these partner relationships lately. For example, my friend received the aforementioned call from his Google partner rep. withing a few days of an email notification that I received from my partner rep. telling me that he could no longer support me directly. In my case I wasn't spending the $10K/month that they want for partner level. It seems clear to me that they are experimenting on how to bring the best benefits to agencies at the partner level since they are in such a good position to sell adwords.

Listening to you segment on marketing fails today, I just had to share this email I got this week as a follow-up from a sales person who had called me out of the blue in the middle of my workday (my emphasis): Hi Mr Xxxxx, Thank you for your time earlier and for taking the time to discuss . I have attached a copy of a report into how **distractions at work have a massive impact on worker’s productivity**, which I hope you will find interesting - it is estimated that 25% of the average worker’s day is wasted on inefficient work. I have also attached in impartial report on project management tools, and some further information on specifically. 's collaborative platform helps ensure that everything gets done, by the right person, at the right time, minimising distractions, increasing efficiencies and saving time: - Workers have a clear picture of priorities - Managers have clear visibility into workloads, projects and task progress - Our customers typically cut their email by 55% and status meetings by 30% If you agree, I would love to reach out to you again the next few days, however should you have any questions or queries before then, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Kind regards,

I've read about the StoryHow PitchDeck cards and look forward to putting them to use. As always, I enjoy sharing a coffee with you and learning from your excellent guests. Many thanks!

Hi Michael, Although the cards were manufactured in Italy, I ordered them through an American company who managed the relationship with the printers. I have lots of information that I can share with you about the manufacturing of cards (from development on digitally-printed small runs to offset-printed large ones.) Please contact me through the form on storyhow.com and I'll answer any questions that you have. R~

I'm reminded of other card decks for business use, such as Roger Von Oech's "Whack on the Side of the Head" deck for creativity from the 1990s. I had one of those for nearly 20 years, before I finally gave it to a friend. I'm looking forward to seeing Ron's deck in action. I'm already a storyteller, but I would love to give this thing a test run.
