I love Informed Delivery! Interesting regarding how the technology came about - I'd always wondered what the infrastructure was behind it. I also need to check out the app. Didn't realize they had an app, but def worth checking out!

If you need to repeat a mission statement verbatim, this is a good way to memorize it. If you need to remember a statute or legal code, but you don't need to know it verbatim (word for word) flashcards are probably a better way to drill. Check out AnkiApp if you want an electronic solution.

You might try with a different browser or talk to your local post office to see if they have any suggestions.

I think he response was sarcasm.. like when you hit someone with the reality of what you know you need to do but don't want to do it.....hence.. I hate you for being honest with me...because the truth hurts...but it's an expression of their frustration..not actual representation of their emotions towards you... think of the humor from the bing bang theory.

Available in my area but have to verify my identity in person. The online verification fails repeatedly even with correct answers.

not yet available in my area. I can see how it would be nice to know at work what to expect when I get home. I signed up to get notification when it is available in my area.

I have set up a group email through gmail and I can't get it to come up on my gmail account. The set up indicates all 11 people are under the heading that I named it but when I go to gmail and put in the given name it doesn't come up at all. Where am I going wrong with it?

I hope to enter the police academy, and I will have to learn a bunch of legal codes, numbers, and memorize statutes and mission statements. SCARY! The thing is, I will have to learn it one day, and then be able to recite it the next day verbally upon command from my drill instructors. It is a "stress academy" so I want to have as many tricks as possible to keep up with all of the heavy reading and memorization. How would you recommend modifying your strategy for this type of scenario? (1) A lot of information. (2) The need to verbally recall the information within a short period of time. Thank you!

That's interesting that online courses have different ways of being conducted, including written lectures and interactive training. I've been thinking of looking into a continuing legal education webcast for my own education. Listening to podcasts is also a good idea for informal education.

I once advertised a motorcycle as "Running, but in truly horrible condition. $50". Two jokers turned up and started trying to negotiate me down by pointing out cosmetic flaws on the bike. "What part of 'truly horrible condition' are you not seeing here?", I asked. The paid the $50, which was a fair price at the time.

Comment on Best Bluetooth Headset I’ve Owned by Brian Hochstein

The plantronics voyager legend has served me well for over three years. I do suggest getting it from best buy with their warranty on it. I use it extensively for my job - it is pretty much attached to my ear whenever I'm awake. I end up replacing it about once a year because it starts having minor issues (but hey i have the warranty so why not? lol) I did have an issue with the charger not necessarily sitting properly and waking up to an uncharged headset, but it does take a whole like 10 minutes to fully charge so it wasn't an issue. I find that the carrying case / battery gives the headset a weaker charge than going with the straight charger so the life of the headset is dramatically lower using the case. I did recently update to the 5200 - I'm loving the micro usb connection for charging. A thing to note - the proprietary magnetic charger of the legend is NOT compatible with the 5200 even though the 5200 is also chargable by a magnetic charger as well. (the headset is slightly thicker so the charger won't fit) This i think is a poor move by Plantronics. Overall - i'm glad i upgraded when i recently needed to go to best buy to replace my headset.

Comment on How to Create a Scanned Digital Signature by Mark Shead

If you use Preview on a Mac, got to Tools > Annotate > Signatures > Manage Signatures. You can actually hold up a piece of paper to the screen to create a signature. If you are using Acrobat, I think it is Edit > Preferences > Security > Configure Signature Appearance. That might not be exactly right, but it should point you in the right direction.
