siri, what is the meaning of life?

Fri, 12 Jul 2013 06:23:38 +0000

that’s easy… it’s a philosophical question concerning the purpose and significance of life or existence in general. well, that explains the question. it certainly categorizes it. puts it into a context. but it doesn’t begin to tell me what the meaning of life, well, it doesn’t answer the question. is that because life has no [...]

Thu, 27 Dec 2012 15:26:41 +0000

you don’t know what the ‘stages of truth’ are…

Arthur Schopenhauer: “All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.”

Thunderbirds Flying Over JBLM

Tue, 24 Jul 2012 06:52:00 +0000

The Thunderbirds are part of the view from my window today! I’ve never minded spending a little time in the office on a Sunday, but this is the first time I’ve ever been distracted by an actual air show (alas, my office never faced the right direction in San Francisco). And rumor has it that [...]

Normally, the title of this post refers to a song that captures my mood at that particular moment. This time, it’s a photograph. Go figure…
