As a Software Engineer you will play a key role in the software, engineering, and new product development teams by driving the development of customer-facing applications and control systems that differentiate Labsphere in the market. You will need to bring an understanding or willingness to embrace LabVIEW as one of the tools you will use in this capacity as well as a passion for elegant design in all aspect of software development including “under the hood” processes and refined front-end graphical user interface.

 

The qualified candidate will possess:

  • LabVIEW Certification (CLD preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to create professional User Interfaces
  • The ability to troubleshoot and debug existing code
  • Familiarity with Mercurial or Git DVCS [Distributed Version Control System]

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Test Engineer - Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford CT

Test Engineer needed for the Mechanical Systems Lab.  This is a small lab consisting of 5 people.  Testing generally deals with validation of new engine components or root cause investigations.  The primary job function would be configuring LabVIEW to monitor and control test rigs. The secondary job functions would be installation of instruments such as TCs, Flow Meters, Accelerometers, Pressure Transducers, and Prox Probes. 

 

Other responsibilities of the lab include testing, design, inspections, and fabrication of simple adaptive hardware. We do it all down in this lab.  If you are a hands-on tinkerer who enjoys a broad spectrum of tasks, please email me and I will provide more detailed information.
