Buses Replacing Trains From Kiest to Ledbetter Over August 27 Weekend

Tue, 16 Aug 2016 10:00:00 CDT

DART buses will replace Blue Line trains between Kiest, VA Medical Center and Ledbetter stations, on Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, 2016, as critical work on the overhead power lines enters its final phase. Shuttle buses will meet trains arriving at Kiest Station and continue south to serve VA Medical Center and Ledbetter stations; these buses will board and unload at the red bus stops at each station. In the interest of passenger safety, parking at Ledbetter Station will again be suspended. We appreciate your patience as we prepare for the extension of Blue Line service to Camp Wisdom and UNT Dallas stations on October 24, 2016.

DART Rail Construction Update (South Oak Cliff Corridor Blue Line Extension) - March 18

Fri, 18 Mar 2016 12:45:00 CDT

This phase of the construction process over the next four to five months extends the East and West Platforms, allowing longer trains and more seating for you. Temporary Changes To Expect: The southern crossing will be closed; only the north walkway will be open; Most train activity will be directed to the East Platform; trains will use the West Platform only in the event a train is occupying the east track; Please plan your trip accordingly to prevent missing your connection; Due to the construction, the shelter serving Bus Bay 6 will be moved north, closer to Bus Bay 5; and as always, prepare for dust and noise, and allow extra time for transfers when possible.
