Theme Support: Forum question

Mon, 29 Dec 2014 13:55:26 GMT

I am still skinning my website's first skin your tutorial has been a great help already. You told how to skin the website + forum. I noticed all your skins have a new coppermine skin aswell i gess i could figure out how to skin it but the thing i am wondering is how do you make it switch since the coppermine folder is outside of the theme directory. I gess i could skin my coppermine but i would overwrite the standart files and i dont think thats a good idea if i want to revert to the original for making another skin after this one.

Theme Support: cursor colour in DF_hardwired theme

Hello again. I've run into yet another problem... I've created a module and my first theme to go with it. The template is quite intricate and works nicely, that is, until it's cached... The template is used several times in a single call. I've tried destroying the template after each time it's used once, and I've even tried running a new instance of the template engine for each time the template is called, and still can't get around the problem. The only fix I have so far is to CHMOD the cache directory to 700, so obviously nothing is getting cached anymore... Have you ever run into such a problem? Do you know what I might have done wrong? As I said, the template works exactly as expected, apart from when it's cached... Many, many thanks in advance.

it woud be nice with a module where a small preview off all installed themes shows up with a selection box next to it and a button on the bottom with the text : Use theme.

Tips & Tricks: Avatar or Private Messages in Header

Can't believe it took someone that long to point that mistake out. The code I wrote would just spit you out to nowhere. Thanks for bringing it up. Of course when I wrote that for my own site I created it correctly. Translation can get messy sometimes. ______________________________

Requests: looking for a block with thumb nail photos

By default DragonflyCMS news module can't do that. You'll need to look for another module. It doesn't have anything to do with the theme you're running. It's the news module itself. There are other news modules out there that can do something like you are asking. What they are called I don't know because I don't use them. I believe pitcher and myndworx created something like that. Rolling Eyes Razz Cool

Tips & Tricks: Forum Image Resize

Devon wrote: news_index_content and news_article_content are custom classes that must be added into the news/index.html and news/article.html templates. You can name it anything you want and add it anywhere you want in your site to limit image sizes. It's a nice little feature that CSS has which can offset a more complicated javascript include. Use sparingly, it's not meant to replace javascript resizing completely, it's only useful in specific situations. Ah yes i forgot that part, thanks for mentioning it. If you just added to CSS, i am sure nothing would happen.

Testimonials: Great Design

Very Happy with the design that Devon has created for Reforged Brotherhood. I recommend this designer to anyone! Devon keep in touch with me throughout the whole design, when you needed something explained he had a simple easy to understand explanations . I had a great support from Devon, my users loved it when they were able to watch the website be changed live by a simple link. He took my average website to a great eye-catching easy to use website and did everything I asked for. He even fixed a few minor things with no additional cost. As I was watching the site changed live, I was impressed with everything he was doing my mouth dropped every time something changed. I really love what Devon did for Reforged Brotherhood, well worth every penny.
