Mirror of the ez_projects extension repository on GitHub!

Wed, 29 Apr 2015 15:37:57 +0000

Hello eZ Community using ez_projects extension repository! Brookins Consulting is happy to announce we have created a complete mirror import of the project's svn repository into a git based repository on GitHub. We continue strive to keep this friendly fork / mirror up to date with any changes that come in the future from the forums and other forks in an effort to remain compatible with the latest versions of eZ Publish. Anyone is free to use (clone) this repository, just watch it for changes, or fork this new repository and use it as needed freely. Again, this is a friendly mirror of the extension repository. Currently the latest version provided by the mirror is r76 | Nicolas Pastorino | 2013-05-15 2:20pm. Cheers, Brookins Consulting

[Solved] SVN: can't commit

Thu, 22 Oct 2009 17:50:46 +0000

basically, see ;) I registered my first project here (hr_highslide), but i am not able to commit via SVN. It seems as my SVN account does not exist or the password, that I use on all websites is not accepted in SVN. Can somebody please check my SVN account. My username on * is "marco". Thanks. EDIT: Solved... The issue was a wrong username. My username seems to be "Marco", not "marco". It seems, as SVN is very case-sensitivy, while sites seem to be more tolerant: I always log in with "marco"...

Re: Unable to create comments on

Thu, 18 Jun 2009 02:25:36 +0000

No, I can confirm as a project leader myself that regardless of the position of the toggle for comments on or off, logged in or not no one is able to publish comments on this site. Test this for your self. I just did with the cie project news item and failed to be able to publish comments. Then look at past news, notice no one is placing comments. Is this not strange to anyone else? Cheers, Heath

Re: Unable to create comments on

Sun, 12 Apr 2009 07:08:04 +0000

Hi Kracker, I wanted to ask if the mod_ezclustered_image project would continue to serve older vs current versions of eZ Publish or if this method was considered deprecated in favor of another solution? mod_ezclustered_image will continue to serve older and new versions of eZ Publish cluster. There is no other solution. I decided to stop maintaining it for the following reasons : 1. lack of time (to write an Apache module takes a lot of time) 2. difficulty to make it easily installable 3. (related to point 2) can not be compiled easily on Debian due to a too old version of one package which contains the library I need. And this is not the lastest version of this library on Debian stable. This forces users to compile their own Apache 2 instance, which is not the Debian way. 4. I do not have time to recreate a new Debian package which would fix the issue described above. For at least those 4 reasons I decided to stop maintaining this project. If you are interested in taking over it, feel free to contact me ;) Cheers.

Hi Kracker and Gaetano, comments are enabled for the news but I can not post a comment either. Maybe a bug ?

Re: Unable to create comments on

Thu, 09 Apr 2009 12:59:00 +0000

For every news item posted, the poster can decide whether comments are allowed or not. I guess Jerome forgot to enable comments this time around. I agree that the text inviting to log in for adding comments is a bit misleading...

Unable to create comments on news items?

Wed, 08 Apr 2009 23:49:23 +0000

Hello, I was reading a bit of news on just at the moment and I noticed an news article [0] and I realized I wanted to reply to the article with a comment [1] but could not. I logged in both on and and refreshed the page ... yet the page did not display the authenticated user with a comment form at the bottom of the article. I found this behavior confusing when the very page viewed as anonymous user displays text encouraging users to authenticate to comment and when the user does so they still can not create a comment? That's not right, I wonder why it's doing that? Perhaps, I've done something wrong and this issue is merely a side affect unexplained that only affects me I don't know. I hope this helps. Cheers, //kracker mgmt - electric feel ... [0] [1] I wanted to ask if the mod_ezclustered_image project would continue to serve older vs current versions of eZ Publish or if this method was considered deprecated in favor of another solution?

Re: eZ projects source code

Thu, 01 Jan 2009 06:58:45 +0000

Hello Kristof, Thank you for identifying the key available extensions used to create the features of eZ Projects. As well as identifying the subversion repository code. Perhaps someone will make an effort to create a new design in the future which does not have those restrictions. Cheers, //kracker soleandtheskyriderbandremixlp : nothing is free(subtitle remix)

Re: eZ projects source code

Wed, 31 Dec 2008 08:29:11 +0000

Hi eZ Projects itself is mainly constructed with the following extensions: There is a little bit of custom code, to initiate the Subversion repositories. This might be made available in a separate extension as well after it's a bit more generalized. If I remember well we are not able to share the design, due to some license restrictions (it was made long ago by a third party for the website).

Re: my profile link (recent change)

I think it would also be nice to have an rss feed link of all a member's contributions per profile page. Would this be possible? Cheers, Heath

Hi Kracker Problem with the repositories.csv file should be fixed now. Thanks for reporting!

Hello Kristof, I noticed that the repositories file is static or at least not updated on a regular interval. Would you update please the file, It would be nice to have this file's contents match the current number of projects on currently on //kracker Kayne West - Tell everybody that you know ...

Re: my profile link (recent change)

Fri, 17 Oct 2008 08:07:09 +0000

Hi Kracker Updating your profile is not possible anymore for a long while on eZ Projects, the main data is on and there's only one-way synchronization. However, I agree that it's a good idea to put a link to edit the profile on

Finally there's a new logo. Enjoy!

Re: websvn interface

Fri, 23 Nov 2007 19:59:01 +0000

Hello Everyone! Brookins Consulting is pleased to point out a recent related contribution of two simple scripts which provide for the automated checkout of all of the projects ( subversion repositories for all of the projects) With these examples showing how to use the csv formated file as provided to export or checkout all available repositories on your server with a single command or script. With the csv file regularly updated by the projects site through cron one could build a daily / nightly build solution of all the latest trunk repositories, stable release branche builds Such a solution would certainly help project maintainers in easing the amount of manual work related to each project release with an investment of effort to automatically populate the downloads section of each project with nightly builds of trunk and stable download packages (in a variaty of package formats ezpkg (standard), tar.gz (primary binary format), zip, tar.bz2 (etc..)) Thank you for providing the csv file Kristof! Cheers! Brookins Consulting

When i took a look last night i was thinking of fixing the issue where the status of the project is shown incorrectly - thought i'd help out :) Where does that code live? I assume its a template bug. Paul

Tue, 06 Nov 2007 09:42:56 +0000

Hi Paul consists of several extensions, which are almost all publicly available already here. A few ones (related to the svn repositories) are left to be more generalized before they can be released. This project "ez_projects" will serve as a place to discuss this site itself and to link to its own issue tracker. Probably no separate code will be released under it.

Mon, 05 Nov 2007 22:11:04 +0000

Hi Kristof, Will you be making available ez_projects itself on svn? Paul

Mon, 03 Sep 2007 23:44:13 +0000

Thank you very much for the viewvc interface! I have been looking forward to this addition and very pleased with it's arrival. I might suggest it would be simpler to access for all if it had it's own subdomain like, //kracker Philip Glass - Einstein on the beach - Knee play 4, 2, 1

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sun, 12 Aug 2007 06:03:54 +0000

Hello, PubSVN, [ ] has been updated to show the following text notice. "Some extensions have been made read-only in the community repository, because they are now using the project spaces at eZ projects instead. eZpedia offers a list of these read-only paths in the community repository. We recommend everyone to move their extensions to eZ projects. If you do so then send a list with the related paths in the community repository to Kristof so he can make them read-only." And an article has been added to eZpedia to document these deprecated items on pubsvn, //kracker Smashing Pumpkins - The End is the Beginning is the End

eZ projects source code

Sun, 12 Aug 2007 06:00:04 +0000

Hello, I took a look today at this project's subversion repository today to find that it was empty! Are there plans to release the source code for the project? //kracker

Re: Design Comments

Sat, 19 May 2007 15:03:10 +0000

@kracker I've contacted eZ systems to get a new logo. @damien The issue with the custom tags has been fixed.

Re: Will there be project categories?

Sat, 19 May 2007 14:36:49 +0000

A certain type of hierarchical categorization has been implemented at In the future we will maybe implement a system with user-defined tags.

Re: Design Comments

Mon, 09 Apr 2007 23:14:59 +0000

Another minor thing: the available tags in the forum don't work as expected, copy/paste of the right column : $var = phpcode(); Bold text Italic text links will automatically be made clickable

what's up :-)

Tue, 20 Mar 2007 10:21:24 +0000

Any news to share about ez projects development. Is there any way I could help so just tell me. Best regards Niklas

Re: Design Comments

Thu, 15 Mar 2007 10:29:59 +0000

Minor thing: The confirmation page when you register for membership in another project has the title 'operation halt', which looks a bit strange. Claudia

Re: Wiki and ticker/bug reports

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 11:19:18 +0000

Another option is to have eZ 'contribute' their old bug tracker which should be pretty simple to integrate? The old bug tracker could go on as a project here to refine... It really depends on what is needed. Paul

Re: Wiki and ticker/bug reports

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 11:06:14 +0000

It would seem that a process to add what they are now calling as 'components' for each sub project on view, as a guide for what could possibly be added to, //kracker

Re: Wiki and ticker/bug reports

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 10:12:10 +0000

Since is intended to be maintained by eZ in the long run we should simply be able to use At the very least this would get things moving in the short term... Paul

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 09:02:22 +0000

When will the SVN be migrated from pubsvn (and or the contrib section) Is there a plan for the bringing together of all available community resources to one system. Will eZ systems be bringing or's extension repositories over to the projects application? There is a whole lot of good code which most people don't know about. //kracker

Design Comments

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 08:51:15 +0000

This is a thread for the discussion of design inconsistencies ... For a spit moment, I wanted nothing more than to ... - Change the header logo image to 'eZ projects' site design.

Re: Wiki and ticker/bug reports

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 08:38:32 +0000

Why can we simply not speak with waterproof and make them an offer to get a copy of WiT for our own needs. It might seem off but I don't see cost as the problem ... we all will be using components soon enough ... Still... I am for the old issue tracker being shared as free software, just not getting hung up in the politics of the e.Z. //kracker

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 08:34:23 +0000

Paul, Great Idea! I very much encourage! Though I think we should produce a good looking old world style proposal document, something that really conveys the value of the proposal / offer ... //kracker

Re: websvn interface

Tue, 13 Mar 2007 08:31:53 +0000

I second this request and add viewcvs as part of the available public tools... Don't forget a method to dynamically checkout or update all of the repositories in one command. //kracker

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Mon, 12 Mar 2007 10:42:42 +0000

Good plan. We should also ask eZ to transfer their over too, which i need to pursue this week... Out of interest are there any pubsvn projects which *dont* have a corresponding contributions page? I would propose asking eZ to contact each developer with a proposal to move their svn and contributions over to 'projects' since they have the profile details. Most contact details can be worked out but eZ might be able to help out here... I'll mention this to them this week. Paul

Hi, Is there a way on projects to update all the extensions with their latest version on the svn ? Is there a way to download automatically all the new extensions added to projects ? X+

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sun, 11 Mar 2007 15:37:50 +0000

Hi Kristof I like the idea but as I rarely use(d) the community pubsvn I am not the best person to ask. Therefore I think you should open this discussion on the forum in - most likely you will get more feedback there. Claudia

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sun, 11 Mar 2007 11:04:23 +0000

Hi Xavier I didn't find a way to download the complete repository from In fact it's not one repository, each project has its own dedicated repository.

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sun, 11 Mar 2007 10:49:08 +0000

Hi, Ok, been able to put something on one of the repository I didn't find a way to download the complete repository from svn co (password protected) On pubsvn, I update the complete repository, that's for sure something we need too on projects. Any idea how to do that ? X+

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sun, 11 Mar 2007 10:32:17 +0000

You will only have write access on projects you are a member of. Of course when a certain project is abandoned by their current developers then it should be possible to transfer the ownership to whatever party interested in further development or maintenance.

Re: Outdating the pubsvn community repository

Sat, 10 Mar 2007 16:46:22 +0000

Oh my god, he killed the repository ! Other than that, do we have the same access rights on the project repository than on pubsvn ? (ie write on all projects ?) X+
