This is a question for De Jaffer; Where would I be able to get more information on the Faberge ciggarette boxes and picture frames owned by various maharajas? I am researching a story on the Indian connection with the House of Faberge, so any little tip will really help....!

In response to Antony's question, there are no Faberge eggs in the book. With the exception of Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner Indian princes were never big consumers of Faberge. Those pieces they did acquire were typically picture frames and cigarette boxes. Thanks for your comment! Amin

Thanks Anony for all your comments. I think there is an "egg" there, not sure. But, the book is studded with rich photos, receipts, etc. etc. I think Dr. Jaffer curates the South Asian section...his speciality is the high end luxury good market during the 15th and 16h century. Sure, I do use Skype sometimes. Thanks for listening and sending in your comments. Kamla

oh .... and really nice that the interview was nice and long. by the way, have you ever considered doing your interviews over skype (or the like) to enhance the audio quality?

What about fancy eggs? Is there any reference to collection of Faberge eggs/items in his book?
