As we move through the innovative corridor of digital technology, new improvements have made our lives easier. One such product where digitalization has drastically improved its quality and performance is camera.

Today almost all camera companies have launched their digital cameras in the market. Moreover the demand for professional digital cameras has tremendously increased following their better clarity and durability. To be more specific, the launch of wide angle digital cameras has greatly benefited the nature lovers and professional nature photographers.

As the name suggest wide angle digital camera provides a wider view of subject. These cameras have a lens which is wider than a normal lens to capture a wider view of the subject. These cameras are prominently used for nature photography. Wide angle digital cameras also provide the necessary depth of the field, so that the photograph doesn’t look flat. Suppose you want to capture a mountain view or a terrain view, then wide angle cameras would be suitable to capture the whole area and provide you with essential depth in the photograph to make it appear real and detailed.

A wide angle digital camera has some specific lens measurements and other features which enhance it performance. Let us take a look at some of the features which a wide angle digital camera has.

The lens of a wide angle digital camera is a 28mm lens. Moreover these cameras come with fast shutter response. These cameras also have a quick start-up time and the functions of these cameras are especially user-friendly. This makes the camera handling too easy for you.

The wide angle digital cameras have a 28mm-100mm wide zoom which is equivalent to 35mm film camera format. This wide zoom lens provides a comprehensive 75o view. This view is exceptionally better than the 62o view provided by conventional 35mm digital cameras. With the help of these lenses, you can take improved images of landscapes, group photos and other subjects.

The shutter response of these cameras is mere 0.12 seconds and the start up time is just 0.10 seconds. These speeds are extremely fast when compared to analogue wide angle cameras. The speeds ensure that you can capture those fast moving precious movements of life very effectively. Moreover, these cameras are very compact and extremely portable. The weight of these cameras is very light so that they can be handled easily by anyone.

The resolution of these cameras fall between the range of 3.0 to 5.0 megapixels. The good resolution ensures that the images captured are of high quality with much clearer details. Moreover the images look sharper with robust color even when they are printed out.

The zoom of the wide angle digital cameras is specially designed to bring you closer to the subject. With the availability of a 3.6 optical zoom and 4.4x digital zoom in these cameras, you can capture the tiniest of details of your subject very clearly.

The LCD screen of these cameras is a flat 2 inch color monitor which aims at providing crisper composition of the subject. The cameras are also equipped with the web cam facility and movie mode with sound recording.

You can transfer the images from your wide angle digital camera to your computer via USB cable. These cameras are also equipped with PictBridge compatibility. The cameras come with software for image enhancement and fast image transfer rate.

So if you like to capture nature in your camera, you should definitely choose a wide angle digital camera. Enjoy happy nature clicking with wide angle digital cameras.

Digital Camera Technology Revealed About The Basics of Digital Photography

Wed, 29 Jul 2009 14:31:00 +0000

Digital Cameras are all the rage these days. These latest technology cameras are getting popular with each passing day indeed. The entire world of photography and video shooting has taken a huge leap after the arrival of digital cameras in the market. For a first time digital camera user it is essential to know their working as well as technology. If you want to enrich yourself with such important DigiCam technology, read this article.First things first. Understand the terms digital camera and analog camera. The digital cameras are much like the simple analog camera. They contain some basic things like a lens, light shutter that are found in an analog camera as well. The difference lies in the technology. The fundamental difference in the technology is of the photo sensitive cells. In a conventional camera the light when reflected from the light shutters falls on the film. But in a digital camera, the light falls up on the image censors or the photo sensitive cells. These cells are many in numbers. An image censor or the photo sensitive cell is actually a microchip of 10mm. This is the most prominent feature of the digital camera technology that distinguishes the digital camera from a formula analog camera. The image censors are responsible to convert the light signals in to the electrical signals. In scientific terminology, each image sensor is a charged-couple device (CCD) made up of silicon. The silicon chip image censors are also capable of measuring the frequency of light falling on them. The sensors play a significant role in the development of digital signals. Once the light signals are stored by image censors as electrical signals, they are transferred to another device that converts these signals to digital mode. The device that converts analog signals to digital signals is known as Analog to Digital Converter (ADC). The silicon chip consists of several electronically charges tubes containing both a positive and negative charge on them. These tubes are called photo sensitive diodes as they are light sensitive diodes which are also known as photosites. They convert the light charges (photons) into electrical signals called electrons. The sensors are very much sensitive. The more the light falls on the sensors, the more pixels they produce. Every 1000 array silicon chip produces 1 pixel.Simply, you can explain the process in two sentences. The process of converting the light signals into the digital signals starts from the lens. The light enters into a digital camera through lens. Then the light falls up on the Charged Couple Devise (CCD) which produces the electrical charges. After this the electrical charges are converted into the digital signals by the Analog to Digital Converter. Some digital camera manufacturers do not use the CCD. Instead they use the Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOD). This is much cheaper in price than the CCDs. Also the CMOD takes up less power than the other photosensitive devices. The technology for these chips is same as the CCD. It is also based on the microchip technology. The Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOD) is generally used in the smaller cameras. Despite of the fact that they are light, cheap and also efficient, most of the mega pixel digital cameras use CCD technology. This is because the CMOD may be cheaper but you will get a much better picture quality by using the CCD. The terms used and specific information related to the digital camera technology may sound a bit difficult for you initially. But you will find a number of resources that explain the process of working of a digital camera in detail. Also the camera experts publish their reviews and articles to teach the public about proper functioning of the digital camera to avoid any complications in their usage. Even if you don’t want to read an expert’s review on the technology of DigiCams this article can surely help you know the digital camera working. The points discussed are simple, and yet too essential for a DigiCam buyer.Did you enjoy this article? Interested in [...]
