It is heard that the producer of the movie D V V Danayya is totally bankrupt and is literally on the roads. Apparently, he had lost huge money in the movie ‘Neninthe’ which made him a pauper.

It is heard that for ‘Varudu’ Danayya had no money and it is Allu Aravind who is supporting him since it is his son in the movie. While Danayya is said to be in a depression of sorts unable to figure out how to deal with the financial crisis, there is one consolation for him.

Slated to be a true story, whether it is that effective or not, let us see…Story:Surya (Siddharth) lives in the slum with his family and his elder brother Chandra (Anoop) takes him to the carom dens. Soon, Surya develops a liking for the game and since his attempts to go to Dubai fail and his love story with Noorie (Nicolette) flops, he decides to get into the game and after a while gets back to his family and life.He is lured into it again by his childhood buddy Zaid (Ankur) and that gets Surya in the vicinity of local don Jaleel (Aditya Pancholi).Both Surya and Jaleel have few old scores to settle. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.Performances:Siddarth was natural and did his groundwork well for the character, though he is handsome, he doesn’t really have that slum boy kind of look. However, he managed to cover it up with his performance.Padmapriya was dusky and natural to the brim. She looked confident and her body language was neat. Her role was small though. Aditya Pancholi was impressive as the scarred villain and though he has passed his prime, he still looks handsome as ever. Ankur Vikal gave a show stealing performance and acts like a pure Mumbai Tapori. He scores well among the lot. Anupam Kher didn’t have much in his role but he did his job well, Anoop Soni was apt, Seema Biswas was superb, Nicolette was neat, Vidya was good, the others were okay.Analysis:The film is quite serious and it runs purely on the backdrop of Mumbai so that limits its chances of appealing to pan audience across India. The director has come up with an interesting plot but instead of sticking to it, he gets into various subjects and that dissolves the momentum.Script was okay, screenplay was weak, background score was marvelous, two songs were nice, cinematography was top notch. Editing was crisp, costumes were natural and art department was amazing.The first half of the film goes about briskly but it is the second half that gets too serious, brutal and hard hitting. The flip side is that there are many loose ends to the tracks and due to the hopping of subject, the viewer loses interest. There is no entertainment in it and it is a very serious and hard hitting movie so it will appeal to a very selective audience.At the box office, it might not get to the profit mark but it could get back its investment if promoted well. Stepping up its vitriolic attack on Shah Rukh Khan. The Shiv Sena on Saturday branded the actor as a "traitor" for his comments on Pakistani cricketers’ participation in IPL but in a U-turn said it will not oppose the screening of his new film ’My Name is Khan’. "Let Shah Rukh release the film with the blessings of the Italian woman (Sonia Gandhi) and Yuvraj (Rahul Gandhi) without any protection and let it run in any theatre anywhere in the country. Sena will not oppose it," The Sena chief, Mr Bal Thackeray, said in an editorial in party mouthpiece ’Saamana’.�The Sena had earlier threatened to stall the release of the film in the metropolis where posters of the movie were pulled down and theatre owners warned against its screening. "A Khan named Shah Rukh tells us to love Pakistan but nobody feels suffocated due to his treachery," he said. "Traitors, do whatever you want to do with the blessings of Congress. Sena won’t stop you. Why should the heads of Shiv Sainiks bleed and they be jailed without any reason," the editorial said. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to call his next film Guzaarish.
The ace director has signed up Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play the lead roles in the film.

According to Sanjay, Guzaarish will commence early next year on Hrithik’s suggestion. Apparently, Hrithik is busy with Kites, his home production and does not want it get in the way of Sanjay’s film.

Sanjay said that Guzaarish is inspired by the Hollywood flick Prestige but has more Indian flavor to the script.

Close on the heels of sexy starlets Charmme, Hansika and Deepika Padukone shaking their booties in item songs, it’s now the turn of other Bollywood hotties Shriya Saran, Anita Hasanandani and Mahek Chahal to gyrate with T-town superstars. Even T-town’s numero uno Anushka is joining the fray with a special number in Takita Takita. “Anushka has confirmed she’ll do a special song in our film,” said producer Bharat Thakur.�Meanwhile, Shriya’s making a comeback to Tollyland with a racy number with Pawan Kalyan in Komaram Puli. Another screen scorcher Anita is also bouncing back with a foot-tapping chartbuster in Kalaver King. “It’s a fascinating number and I really enjoyed dancing to it,” says Anita.�Debutant director Kiran, who had once declared he disliked cliched item numbers, has now canned one with Nagarjuna and Mahek for Kedi. “I do not believe in this item number business, but we needed a special number in a sequence to carry the story forward. I saw some clippings of Mahek’s item number with Salman Khan in Wanted and felt she’d be apt,” he explains.�Even filmmaker Sekar Kammula seems to have joined the bandwagon.
