Classical: Hero's Theme by LittlePaperFlags

Tue, 25 Oct 2016 12:13:46 -0400

I often hum tunes and wish I could get them down. I swear, if I could just plug my mind into my computer and export ideas into Logic I would be churning out an album a day.

Two days ago I came home and started humming a tune whilst making a cup of tea - I imagined it as a big movie theme of some kind. I used the Music Memos app to get the idea down and as soon as my tea was made I got to work.

I'm so pleased with how it came out after only two days of work - I've always wanted to do a completely orchestral score for a film or a video game etc.

I like to think there are three 'acts' in this piece. Act 1, the introduction of the 'hero', Act 2 tells the story of the peaceful place where all of a sudden an evil character begins to wreak havoc. Act 3, our hero returns (with his theme) - to fight the evil.

World: Bollywood Track - Request for Collab by taurusjust4u

Tue, 25 Oct 2016 01:46:12 -0400

(image) Hi, I was working on a Bollywood track last week. Recorded the vocals yesterday. I just realised that I have kind of stagnated my brain over this track. So I am removing all the chords, strums, strings, drums etc and just posting the wet vocals.

If any of you would like to experiment with the track, I would love to hear them. Lets collab and expect some very different outcomes.

If you need the dry vocs without the metronome, please do let me know.

PS: There is an 8 bar rest before the vocs start @ 20 secs. And similarly there is an 8 bar rest between the two phrases.

Mood: Romantic
Tempo: 80

Pop: Playing in the Rain by pieresis

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 17:32:55 -0400

(image) “Playing in the Rain”
7° Album by Pieresis 2016

Rock: Chasm by TapicusMaximus

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 15:28:48 -0400

A "full out" rock band type tune I created not too long ago. All played with the Chapman Stick, via two hand tapping (Except the drums of course!), most ideas played in real time (Bass and Melody side) with a couple of overdubs. This was a fun track to put together, and it fits in with the stuff I have here, so what the heck... I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed creating it!

Childrens: Charlie's Driving The Car by maestrodog

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 12:48:22 -0400

(image) The final song of the 12 track children's album, and I find myself at once elated and deflated - I want to do more of these, and might do a follow-up to the children's album depending on how this goes. This one is about how I let my grand-kids stand on the car seat and steer the car - only in the neighborhood of course!

I really enjoyed making this beat, even though it's rather simple.  It's not really about anything specific, which I guess is my style. I never got around to writing a chorus for it though. I'd LOVE it if someone from ICOMP would download it and add their own flavor to it. I'll be back next Monday with another song. Enjoy.

(image) Did you ever have one of those songs that "got away"?
This is mine. I wrote it quite quickly and really enjoyed some of the lyrics in it, but I felt like I couldn't quite nail the recording. I worked on the track on and off for 4 - 6 weeks recording and re-recording bits, eventually trying to mix it into something I was happy listening too! Whenever I play the song it still taunts me!! The drums are by drums on demand. It was recorded on my trusty Yamaha AW16G 16 track digital recorder.

Metal: SHREDIVARIUS VII by SebastienGabriel

Sun, 23 Oct 2016 14:28:07 -0400

(image) HEY! Let's shred again with my last metal guitar hymn! It belongs to the "Shredivarius" work; a neo-classical sound from Switzerland. I mixed it again today; thanks for your help guys! I recorded & played all parts, even the drums with an electronic Roland V-Drums; not easy for a pure guitarist, believe me...
I hope you'll like this new version! Take care amigos!

(image) Unfortunately right now there are no new songs available from me, but i will try to record a new one, if i will be able too. So long i like to put this one back. It's a very sad guitar-piece and i recorded it in a very sad mood.

Once i unfortunately deleted it from here, because i decided it wrong, but at least i saved all comments in Screenshots like i always do.

There is also a wonderful version of this song available with vox and additional instruments by Pharmakeus here on iCompositions and you can find it here:

I hope someone like it nevertheless. Please enjoy. (image)

(image) Happy October! Here's a creepy thing. I went really wild with my opera screaming, especially at the end, alarmed.

Automatonophobia is the fear of anything that falsely represents a sentient being, including dolls, puppets, animatronics, scarecrows, mannequins, wax figures, and even statues. It's funny having to differentiate all those things that ultimately look the same.
