VERSION TWO (Flawed Initial Mix Still Not PERFECT, Like Me A Work In Progress)

Tim and I have done many tracks together in the past. I've been struggling with Health imposed disabilities that have kept me from posting for years now. Tim and I started communicating again and I felt it was time to Attempt to approach music again with the intent of composing a project. It's been to daunting s task to even consider, Tim coaxed me to approach it a little at a time, How do you eat an elephant ? , ..... One bite at a time. so instead of my usual woodshedding for 2 or three days. I worked on this project for a period of over a month, a few measures at a time until it reached this final revision. ( Now A REMIX A Month Later ) It is close to a version that we did some years ago with a few changes. I hope you enjoy this Project Tim always referred to it as "King Of The World" To me it represented "Resurrection" With this being Easter Season maybe the combination is fitting. It was a resurrection of sorts for me also and I Thank Tim for BOTH the opportunity and his patience. My health continues to decline I pray I have a few more Projects in me before I Leave This World.

CREATION Is The Very Essence Of Being ALIVE ! ! !

THANK YOU To Everyone Who Has Allowed Me To Be Part Of Their iComp Experience. I Have Enjoyed Sharing Time And Talent With Many Of You Who Are IComp Veterians ( You Know Who You Are ) Sorry To Anyone I May Have Offended, ..... LOVE To You ALL ! ! !

Thank You ! ! !

Alternative: Highland Air (Lyle Mays Cover Tune) by wescurry45nion

Thu, 25 May 2017 02:57:58 -0400

(image) From the Lyle Mays Album, my all time favorite composition of his. Have been playing it for about 25 years now as a standard to any live performances I do.
For those of you whom never heard of him, especially if you are keyboardists or pianists, he played in The Pat Metheny Group from its inception, and you could learn some inspiration listening to his works.

Wed, 24 May 2017 08:25:09 -0400

8 years ago my alter ego Paul and I were playing with the intention to let the good old times come out. He sent me this psychedellic video (image) that didn't´t show up on iComp..but it had several "plays". When I tried to open it up nothing was to be seen or keep things in order I now post it as a hearable file again...too bad the movie is not working out..

Alternative: Caddywonked by falconep

Tue, 23 May 2017 10:13:19 -0400

(image) Another upload from the back of the catalog. A hot-summer-lazy-afternoon song. Downbeat shifting by using EDM drum patterns (with half the notes removed) and adding strings.
*The barn art definitely displays what "caddywonked" means. (If you're from the American South, you already knew this.)
Thanks for listening - More to come

Alternative: It's Going To Be Alright (Early Version) by wescurry45nion

Mon, 22 May 2017 21:22:24 -0400

(image) A song about everything, getting through troubles, looking on the bright side, if only I could sing,,,,which I will record a version of the lyrics eventually, just hate to insult your ears with my 'hits the notes right" but that a voice, characteristic.
For now, here is the early version of the piece with a piano improvisation on the theme in the latter part....the song comes back in strong after that.....
Its a musical. So.....Big ending.

Classical: Chopin's Polonaise in F-sharp minor, Op. 44 for Full Orchestra by PleiadianAgenda

Mon, 22 May 2017 20:15:49 -0400

(image) The Polonaise in F-sharp minor, Op. 44, is a piece for solo piano written by Frédéric Chopin in 1841. It is often referred to as the "tragic" polonaise. The polonaise is dedicated to Princess Ludmilla de Beauveau, a prominent member of the Polish émigré community in Paris.

Despite its title, the polonaise is a composite work in ternary form, with a central mazurka section in A major.

I uploaded this last week, after trying out the new soundsets from EastWest, but took it down the next day because it realized it needed better more fluent orchestration in some parts. I didn't realize how much until I put in another 50 hours, on top of at least that much the first time around. I'm happy with the orchestration, not sure about the mix and mastering, I may do a few more copies and try a few different mastering settings.

Ambient: Want To Buy A Lemon? by Beatle128

Mon, 22 May 2017 15:32:09 -0400

(image) So with The Applesauce Project I've been doing Beatles pastiches, with The Jewels I took on '60s girl groups, and with The Cupcake Parade I've been doing '60s and '70s bubblegum/sunshine pop. I've even done a couple of '80s New Wave/Alternative tracks as The Episodes.

Now I'm recording some tracks by All Those Quails.

That's right. '70s Prog/Art Rock, kiddies.

(image) An experimental version of the True Detective song by The Handsome Family. Will eventually try a vocal version over at my iComp rock project, thebenteights. Some parts, like the bass and drums, may be a little bland. Overlook that as it was all down in about two hours. A richer version may appear someday, but probably not. Thanks, Bill.
