Wed, 21 Feb 2018 14:24:22 -0500

(image) Sometimes when I am on the move and get bored I use to do "backgrounds" on my Ipad with the app Rebirth. It is a recreation of a 909, a 808 and two 303's. It is very easy to work with and it can be some nice burpy backgrounds to work on when you are back in the studio. I have never done a thing to all backgrounds until now. I don't know but I can tell you it was rather fun doing it.

Spiritual/Gospel: Faith Hymns and Friedrich Kuhlau by cmstaub

Wed, 21 Feb 2018 00:36:40 -0500

Faith Hymns and Friedrich Kuhlau is a piano arrangement of three hymns embeded in Kuhlau's famous Sonatina in C, with which most piano students are familiar. I have taken the sonatina and weaved the themes of three popular hymns into it. It's not for everyone, but I hope you enjoy it.

Lost song found in my iTunes. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the project files I created this mp3 from. At least, I saved the mp3. Not sure why I discarded the Logic files, I could have mixed it a lot better. I hope it's still enjoyable. This song is probably from 5 years ago.

Spoken Word: Woo Sing And The Mirror by falconep

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 16:03:29 -0500

(image) Welcome The Year of the Dog. I thought it apropos to use World Strings as accompaniment to this ancient Chinese Fable.

Personal Observation - A timeless tale reflecting modern day, self-righteous, finger pointers who live in ivory towers, attacking those they see full of hate. Like Woo Sing, they do not recognize they stand before a mirror.

*All input with keyboard controller & midi engineering
Thanks for listening - More to come

Alternative: A Beauty in Motion by ReadandReturn

Tue, 20 Feb 2018 02:37:10 -0500

Oh lawd, I just hit the jackpot and found some older tracks from right before the Read & Return and My City Glory projects were put in motion. I remember at that time I was experimenting a lot in finding the right sound for a solo project. I was producing a lot of bipolar style music combinations.. You'll know what I mean when you hear this one all the way through.

Everyone goes through phases right?? hah

Keep in mind these are much older than the works I've been posting over the last year. I would say this track in particular is close to 6 or 7 years old now. If anything I hope you all get a good laugh.

Classical: Piano Concerto No. 2 : D Major : Mastered Sketch by wescurry45nion

Mon, 19 Feb 2018 20:29:50 -0500

(image) Same Concerto, I got some emails from listeners that said the volume was not loud enough. So here is a better, clearer, version. Please understand, the piece is in Sketch form right now, only half of it is finished, the final version will be about 20 minutes long. And there will be many additions and changes to the first ten minutes. I believe the version place here is okay, and hopefully will spark some interest.

Metal: Impostor Syndrome by herrsolera

Mon, 19 Feb 2018 09:54:57 -0500

(image) This song was going to be an exploration. I wanted it to be slower than my usual fare, more pensive and meditative, in a way some dirge-like doom metal songs can be. But instead, I ended up subconsciously digging through bits and pieces of the melodies that swirl in my head most of the day and I didn’t stray far from my comfort zone.

The structure of the song was built around a recurring feeling I get in my life, from my compositional pursuits to my professional accomplishments, and even to some degree my close friendships. I suppose it’s due to the pursuit of right-brain activities, hobbies, and jobs. The somber “chorus” of sorts always finds its way into the song. Even during cathartic moments, its presence is there.

The struggle is real.

Pop: All That U Wanted (My City Glory Remix) by ReadandReturn

Mon, 19 Feb 2018 00:51:43 -0500

How goes it everyone? Here's another remix of one of the lovely Adara's singles. It's funny listening to this one compared to the original.. They are completely different but I love them both!

This remix is home to one of my favorite counter melodies. If you listen close around 2:38 you'll hear it for the first time. Eventually it becomes part of the foreground of the track, layered with strings and a little whistling from yours truly.

Enjoy.
