(image) Some music is better with a visual. You keep the vidcam on a tripod and wait... for this. Subtle gimmick after 2:35 that matches up with the piano.

Again, working on a TV Pilot (Being created by the Director Emmitt Thrower in Brooklyn NY) Sometimes, even though far apart physically, there is an energy that really works, and while he is making the film, and I am making music, it just comes together. This may be one of those pieces. We will have to wait and see according to his directions. The Scene, an Herbologist has an office Which the lead character goes to for medicine and advice. Beaded Curtains, peace signs, paisly and tie dies......and a very colorful lighting on the set. Wanting to stay away from pulling out a Sitar for the music.....too cliche' in my book....but may be called for.

Electronica: Sand church by sookin01

Sun, 24 Sep 2017 15:42:08 -0400

The story goes that this church in Denmark, close to Skagen, has been covered with sand or that has sunken. You should build a church on a rock, Petrus. Kind of.

It's been a while .. so why not... I dedicate this to @Alanatomic (Tommy) for raising my heart with his new one (image) . You are an inspiration my friend, you've been through so much, yet still smiling and joking.

The tune and counterpoint harmonies are often intwined between vocal, Cello and Violin. Much more subtle ambient cinematic guitars and epic drum mix here and there to well up the feeling of changing tides!

Trust you enjoy

Comedy: In Anticipation of Soup by wescurry45nion

Sat, 23 Sep 2017 09:39:55 -0400

(image) I am working on a TV Pilot for a director (Emmitt Thrower) in Brooklyn New York. The concept is this: A genius Pharmacuetical Chemist, working for a firm for 40 years, is being overlooked and starting to get bad reports from his co-workers, so he strikes out on his own, with a new drug. He opens a Restaraunt and starts putting the new drug into the food he is serving. The drug is an enhancer that brings out a persons true inner being.
This piece is in concept stage, and possibly for the third scene, I will exhibit the first two scene music's later, as they are very 'intremezzo' and transition oriented pieces, not really musical in the way of long melody, more.......atmospheric background music. But this piece....well....its funny.

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 23:04:37 -0400

(image) well I changed a few things from the previous Looking Up song, I dropped the tempo a little bit and changed the structure of the song and a riff which is the same but played it different. I mess up a few times but I think I like this version better. A little more rockin..

Jazz: Up at 7(pm) by wescurry45nion

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 20:23:36 -0400

(image) Blessed in life, as I have 24 hours a day everyday where I need not take orders from a boss, be at a cubicle in the morning all day 5 days a week, or have to be anywhere for any particular reason. And can ( and do ) sit at my piano from the time I wake in the evening to the time I go to bed usually around noon the next day. It is lonely, that's the downside. But that's the price for the wood shed. So here is todays just woke up piano solo, jazzy and bluesy, and bouncy.

Jazz: Lounge lizard by w1av

Fri, 22 Sep 2017 14:21:11 -0400

(image) I thought I would try something I have never done. A "lounge" type of jazz tune. I played a stereo track of keyboard comping from a big HUGE Casio keyboard. Then used my fretless bass, thru an ART tube preamp. Guitar is a BIG ol jazz box we keep under the bed. Drum track is a swing track I found. It's a little wiggly-waggly but it's my first lounge tune.

Engineered for earbuds/EarPods (pretty much sounds like crap on computer speakers). If you play this on a typical home stereo system you should attenuate the bass and/or boost the treble to your liking.
