(image) I created this with climate change in mind. So many animals are in jeopardy.

Tom helped clean this up a bit, but since most of it is in Garageband, I couldn't get the sound quite as crisp as I wanted since there are so many tracks. But his help definitely improved it a bit.

Thanks for helping Tom!

Although I like the lyrics of this song it's still not very good. The beat is ok too, but the whole delivery of vocals really could use some work. I am uploading a song every Monday, so check back next week.

Ska/Reggae/Dub: Let It Ride (mastered) by GoofyDawg

Sun, 26 Feb 2017 14:51:30 -0500

For a long time, I wanted to write a commentary on what I was feeling about all the back and forth rhetoric and the "us" versus "them" attitude that seems to prevail in our political discussions these days. Add to that the name-calling and the smug, "Haha! We won, so deal with it" mentality, and it's easy to get pissed.

But in the end, I looked inward and realized that I just don't give a **** about all the things our president and the media and the pundits and the extremists are saying. I know what I stand for, and I'm going to stick to my principles, no matter what; and I'll vote accordingly - I always have. What this gave me was a sense of inner peace; knowing that despite all the angst and anger surrounding me, I can still be happy.

"Let It Ride" is a simple song that shares that sentiment.

I know I marked this as using no loops, but I did use GarageBand's drummer, which is totally cool...

Blues: How Could You Do It by Larzman2

Sun, 26 Feb 2017 10:36:26 -0500

(image) This is from my album "Song House". It was the first Compact Disc project I was all tape and vinyl before that. I took full advantage of the seemingly endless track capacity. 19 tracks on this one. This song is an original blues offering and the lead electric strat was performed by Dave Hawkins my then boss and owner of the music store I worked for. Bass, Kevin Shears, Drums, Neil Raynsford, Keys, Rob McLean and Harmony Vox, Deborah Donovan... Enjoy.

Hope you like this piece. If anyone wants to take it and do something with it, please do so!

With all the political angst and anger and all the people who seem bent on bringing others down, I wanted to share my attitude about that. This song is about being in my emotional and spiritual center and just letting all that **** slide on by...

This is not the finished piece. I just laid this down pretty quickly yesterday to make sure I captured the idea.
