Rock: We Both No! That (Re-Mastered) by Paigan0

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 10:36:36 -0500

(image) I submitted this tune earlier in the week and didn't realize that the levels were smashed/over-compressed when I converted to MP3/AAC. (Always check your levels, kids!) Here it is again, re-mastered and slightly re-mixed (and checked before posting!) (image) Still needs some guitar work.
A piano rock song, with me singing and harmonizing. All instruments written and played by me. A song about my marriage to my wonderful wife, back when I was also drinking (2 years dry now!). Written and recorded back in late 2013, early 2014, and it probably needs some re-mixing [done!] and some work on the guitars [not done!], which are mixed way back.

Pop: Untitled Pop Ballad by wescurry45nion

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 05:48:16 -0500

(image) Having not written any real "songs" for a while, I improvised this one just this early morning. Maybe worth exploring as far as orchestration and arrangement a little later.

I leave this piece open for any collaboration. Don't even worry about asking for permission....just do it.

Classical: Cinematic Orchestration (Test 1.1) by wescurry45nion

Wed, 18 Jan 2017 04:23:39 -0500

(image) Needing to hear how the sound comes out AFTER all the uploading and downloading on a piece for the film I am working on. Mind you....After the 10th measure there is no mixing nor complete orchestral arranging, it sounds like mud on this end too. But it is important that I hear how the sound comes out. So here is a test of just the first minute or so of what shall be an extended piece of music.

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 12:28:51 -0500

In the UK there are more than 16 million people who have less than £100 savings. A new acronym JAM has not long been released into the public domain, short for Just About Managing. So, the beast (aka the establishment) is in a cave eating the people who are just about managing. (Acoustic Guitar, Voice and PC Drums)

Classical: WINTER 17 (by Scott Hoke) by wescurry45nion

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 01:50:30 -0500

Scott and I go a long ways back in time for this generation.....High a matter of fact....One summer I managed to get use of a Moog Satellite and came over to Scotts to use his make multi tracks....using a JC Penny cassette recorder and little microphone....recording a track from the Moog on his speakers....and bouncing the old fashioned way.....TONS of static......anyway...He just joined icompositions at my request, so look out for some good music coming from him. He gave me permission to work on his recently added WINTER 17....and this is the result.

Alternative: Hidden (The End of The Greatest Show on Earth) by falconep

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 10:46:34 -0500

(image) A wonderful day at the circus... or is it?
At first glance: Cotton candy, popcorn, rides, fun things to see. But then you start to notice "The Hidden": scary clowns, grifters, side show freaks, the out-of-tune steam calliope, the bearded lady, the Oriental sword-swallower, rugged carnies, the hall of mirrors. I tried to capture it all with harmonic tension in mind.
* I seem to have a knack for writing things that connect to the future: After 146 years, the curtain is coming down on "The Greatest Show on Earth." The owner of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus told The Associated Press that the show will close forever in May 2017.
Thanks for listening - More to come!

Rock: While My Guitar Gently Weeps [Beatles Cover] by artneuro

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 07:59:55 -0500

(image) I'm coming full circle. When I first started playing guitar I was in awe of this song. It's one of those songs where the lead player just goes from start to finish playing lead. And really I think that's always how I wanted to be. For some reason it's taken me a colossal amount of time to get around to trying to actually do a version of this song, partly because Eric Clapton is so venerable, so God-like, so solar and nova-like, and I feel so unworthy.
But what the heck, YOLO. So here's my take. (image)

Classical: Oh...My New Genre' (Musical) by wescurry45nion

Sat, 14 Jan 2017 22:02:58 -0500

Second piece in the Film from OFF INDIE I am working on.
Our lead character is now off the the middle of a city in WV...the this case lets just say he looks and talks like David Spade for stories sake.....notices him....the PIANO repetition starts and a campy stare into the sky comes from both of them as thought wondering where the heck the piano sound is coming from......The lead sings a song about how he is sure he will come up with a NEW GENRE' of music......this piece is the introduction to the song and represents about 5 days worth of recording and engineering........(spoiler alert) whenever the xylophone plays, not in the intro, but soon....the lead sort of RUNS know...the INDIE xylophone so often used in indie motion pictures....the song. not posted here yet...goes through many genre's already used in pictures ...and a farcical and campy mood.....with plenty of asides from the protagonist...
Have a good time,
