The Eternal Stalker Named Death: More Tragic Scripts!

Thu, 23 Mar 2017 11:58:38 -0500

The way death claims its victims is as normal as it is unique. One wonders who writes the scripts for some of the victims who perish without knowing why. These scripts are always most inhumanly creative, cruel beyond imagination and most horrendously instantaneous...

Power of Conviction

Wed, 22 Mar 2017 13:58:15 -0500

This article follows on from the Power of Expectations to highlight an area where many of us as educational professionals and parents alike fail. The Power of Conviction - This basically means if you say it, then mean it! This is one of those powers that is easy to say and understand but very difficult to put into practice as it takes a steadfastness, that all too often we are willing to compromise for that easy life. I use that phrase deliberately because I would like you to reflect on it at the end of this piece.

Kings on Horses

Wed, 22 Mar 2017 06:49:57 -0500

Just about every king has had a portrait painted astride a horse, usually a white one, or some other animal. Their strength and power is enhanced and their presence dominates as a result. Who can bypass that of Napoleon astride his mare while leading his army into battle.

All Hail - "The Aqua Squad"

Tue, 21 Mar 2017 11:01:44 -0500

A light-hearted pun intended at the citizens of India. How many of them lack the so-called common sense. I wouldn't be wrong to say that 'common sense is everything but common.'

Reflections of One's Behaviour in That of Others

Tue, 21 Mar 2017 06:53:40 -0500

How many times do we hear politicians accuse their opponents of being liars and cheats? It's a human characteristic that what you see in others is what is really within yourself. If you see others as liars, then one should examine their own behaviour and would find that they are also prone to bend the truth.

2017 International Challenges As Per CFR, UN, And Academic International Affairs Experts

Tue, 21 Mar 2017 06:48:02 -0500

Do you ever find it maddening that our political leaders always identify the current and some of the future problems in our city, county, state, country or the world - and then tell us that they will solve those problems? The big kicker is that most of those problems we have or face were created by people just like them working for the Great Intentions Paving Company LLC. It's also frustrating that our leaders regardless of political affiliation seem to love to practice the definition of insanity - always proposing the same types of solutions which have never worked before. Okay so, let's talk about this real world problem shall we?

The Thought Police Are Plugged In

Mon, 20 Mar 2017 09:37:03 -0500

It's tempting to declare that George Orwell has won the debate about the future - surveillance via TV is here. But the truth is more complicated.

That Something Called THINKING Lacking in Our Schools

Sun, 19 Mar 2017 14:30:41 -0500

A Big Surprise From The PCT

Tue, 14 Mar 2017 08:25:46 -0500

My idea was to collect a series of individual stories from hikers who have undertaken the 2640-mile journey on the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico (on the edge of Campo) to Canada. What I learned from the hundreds of people I watched is that the trail holds a dark secret.

A Year of Living Dangerously

Mon, 13 Mar 2017 10:53:34 -0500

It has been one whole year and a few days since I stepped down from the plane having flown overnight from Muscat via Doha; 17th December 2015 to be precise. I was at the time buoyed by my successful completion of a consultancy contract over a 5 month period.

America's Unstable Dollar

Mon, 13 Mar 2017 08:22:23 -0500

If you look at the big jump that happened in the Dollar Index starting in 2013... this did not happen because of strength. It happened because of weakness.

We Are Stardust

Thu, 09 Mar 2017 14:33:11 -0600

Yes, you read that right. And now the question comes, HOW?

Psywar - Human Deception for Exploitation of Others

Wed, 08 Mar 2017 13:24:31 -0600

Psychological warfare, psyops, political propaganda, and so forth, are premeditated purposes, usually not positive in nature, to influence the thinking processes of others. Intentional misuse of various media, communication means and an array of "infotainment" are calculated to manipulate belief systems. Particularly, the effort contrives to foster emotionalism over logical deductive aspects of mindful analysis. Frequently, the efforts are directed at eventual exploitation of decision-making and actions based on emotional reactivity to superficial contentions. Power, control and dominance in one form or another are skillfully disguised.

We Must Have Black Unity Now More Than Ever

Wed, 08 Mar 2017 08:39:31 -0600

"No matter what we call ourselves, being black in a white supremacy world is the common denominator of our pains. The consequences of not coming together will be continued humiliation and worsening of our lives inside this nation."

Does This Sound Trashy?

Tue, 07 Mar 2017 19:04:05 -0600

There is a breed of bird that is slowing down reproduction on the Galapagos Islands which lines it up for extinction. Who cares? Well, here's how it works...

The Four Prideful Reasons For Being a Ghanaian

Thu, 02 Mar 2017 06:59:16 -0600

Ghana, an iconic figure and a star to behold on the African continent, is a great nation with wonderful citizens. The country is blessed with rich and abundant natural resources such as timber, gold, silver, diamond and others. However, the beaconing feature that makes being a Ghanaian prideful is with the high spirit of patriotism, communal living, display of love and unity as well as the rich cultural traditions.

Wall Street Is Clueless

Wed, 01 Mar 2017 10:05:51 -0600

Beware: Another paradigm shift is underway on Wall Street. And like the dot-com bubble of the late 1990s, Main Street will get screwed.

Dear Christo, You Wrapped My Heart

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 09:05:58 -0600

As time goes by, we start to realize who influenced us. The artist Christo and his wife certainly touched my life and introduced me to art I could understand and absorb. Their story draws me in continuously through the years.

The Merits of Placing Your Responsibilities Onto Someone Else

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 08:57:52 -0600

I cannot think of anyone who enjoys paying their utility bills. As far as I can surmise everyone would prefer to get their water and electricity for free. There may be some exceptions to this general rule but these people are far in between the norm and hard to find.

Don't Criticize NASA's Wasteful Climate Change Budget Or You Are Anti-Science?

Tue, 21 Feb 2017 06:54:34 -0600

Our thinking group has come to the conclusion that NASA's climate science budget of over $2 Billion per year is far too rich for the taxpayer, especially considering that NASA's main mission is one of aeronautics and space. While it is true that NASA has engaged in Earth Sciences to better estimate our potential future visitations to other planets during human space exploration, how we went from that to climate science is quite a stretch. Of course, if one mentions any of these, they are called anti-science and accused of having a right-wing political agenda, something I find rather troubling indeed.

Health Care: Your Money or Your Life

Thu, 16 Feb 2017 09:37:42 -0600

A few years ago, a good friend of mine was seriously injured in an automobile accident and spent several months in the ICU and recovery. He underwent emergency surgery, during which his physician brought in an out-of-network doctor to assist, without his knowledge or consent. Thanks to that, his insurance refused to cover the $85,000 bill from the out-of-network surgeon.

Under-Communicating the Anti-Corruption Vision

Wed, 15 Feb 2017 10:00:54 -0600

I was inspired to write this article because of three things that happened to me in the last few weeks. Firstly, I wasn't very impressed with the under-communication from the Estate Residents Association EXCO on the issue of a new transformer in my estate, especially since we have been in the dark for the last three weeks. In a separate event, a client told a class of 40 co-participants at one of my workshops that the article I wrote sometime last year on 'Why our Transformational Change Efforts may fail", must have reached the attention of President Buhari and his...

Be Grateful in ALL Things

Mon, 13 Feb 2017 08:17:25 -0600

This morning, I read a message calling for all out revolution. But I don't think that word means what those calling for it think it means.

Sewer Sludge Who Burn Our Flag

Fri, 10 Feb 2017 14:43:08 -0600

Anyone who has read anything about the ordeal that our prisoners of war had to endure - especially those held by the Japanese during World War II - would appreciate what the flag really means. Viet Nam and Korean War POWs had it very bad and I do not mean to disparage their hardship; but I have not read where they were subjected to such conditions of slavery and utter inhumane treatment as the POWs from the USS Houston and the other POWs in Japanese prison camps. I have just finished reading...

Innovation and Technology in the Healthcare Sector

Thu, 09 Feb 2017 11:12:51 -0600

Born Free and Unregulated

Wed, 08 Feb 2017 11:01:11 -0600

A human being is born free. Every human being, even those in totalitarian states. Their freedom has simply been stolen, due to a government with too much authority.

Danger Lurks in Executive Orders

Tue, 07 Feb 2017 09:20:58 -0600

Our new president has been signing executive orders right and left. But here's the thing: Executive orders issued by the hand of an unrestrained president, whether on the political left or right, are a real threat to American freedom.

Your Passport to Affordable Health Care

Thu, 02 Feb 2017 08:56:53 -0600

Despite success in medical techniques, the U.S. has a disastrous, overpriced health care system. In fact, you could pay less traveling abroad for care, including round trip airfare.

Warrior's Credo Part 2 Duty, Discipline and Devotion

Wed, 01 Feb 2017 13:08:15 -0600

Bondage, captivity, enslavement, to this realm of reality portends the inward form of slavery, one after another, in many forms. Indebtedness, involuntary servitude and submissiveness, of willful natures, succumb to the subservience of more powerful entities. Some on a psychic level, others on a physical level, and still others on a spiritual transcendence, as energy streams are directed to lesser values. Choices are of freewill, with calculated forethought and eventual intention. Of service inclination, bearing the burden of such bondage, is of personal choosing. The blasphemy committed, of the individual quest, is the paradox of humanity, to be free yet submitted to another. At any given instant, the journey becomes compounded by self-interests that devolve to selfish immaturities. Human nature, the thinking processes incumbent by personality, resides in realms both good and evil. Duality of existence in struggling to overcome unevolved selfishness requires exceptional diligence.

The Vietnamese Lotus Theory

Sun, 29 Jan 2017 10:10:43 -0600

When I stepped into the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chin Minh City, South Vietnam for the first time in December 2016, I sensed a breeze of optimism and vibrancy in the air. Later I realized that what I have seen in the airport was just the same as what I saw in Ho Chin Minh City during my 5 days stay there, with both the places pulsating with life, vigor, and activities. For a country that has been on the offensive for thousands of years evading various assaults and colonial intent, the optimism that I witnessed in...

John Rawls Theory of Justice: A Panacea to the Jagons of Societal Proceedings

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 09:43:53 -0600

In spite of the incessant efforts of Political Philosophers on how best justice should be administered, societal proceedings in Nigeria are clearly being done unjustly. The rich often prey on the poor. Nigeria has become a country where the rich get richer and the poor gets poorer.

How to Better Prepare Our Workforce for Employer Needs

Thu, 26 Jan 2017 09:41:40 -0600

Can we afford to wait around and lose another generation to the mismatch of education and business goals and objectives? Can we afford - as a nation - to lag behind others in productivity and output?

Modi Sarkar's Surgical Strike on Black Money, Its Implications

Tue, 24 Jan 2017 11:01:47 -0600

Pandit Vishnu Sharma said in Pancha Tantra, "Strategy is good, but at the same time one should also know where the strategy is leading to". This is what going to happen for government's decision. If that is the case what should have been done. Acting against black money is like waging a war.

Story of 'The Lord' and His Mistress

Tue, 24 Jan 2017 10:59:50 -0600

Not long ago a Lord lived in a distant continent where his preferred location was an island where people were irreligious leaning on their intellectual prowess using all modern technology as we enjoy now. He lived with all comforts, lacked nothing and minted money on hospitality business like our modern hotels today. He often said to himself, "I have money; I can do anything to everything.

Driven Crazy

Mon, 23 Jan 2017 14:31:10 -0600

Some Departments of Public Safety believe depression, anxiety and even binge eating may impact a person's ability to drive. In Texas, questions on the driver's license renewal form ask for someone mental status before a new license is issued.

Explaining the Trump-Limbaugh Connection

Mon, 23 Jan 2017 14:28:32 -0600

Although Rush Limbaugh is Donald Trump's biggest supporter in the media, he likes to claim that he has no connection with the Trump campaign. To explain what is happening between the two of them, I must first explain Limbaugh as he relates to the Republican Party.

America's Trouble With Tariffs

Mon, 23 Jan 2017 11:11:37 -0600

We're no longer living in a 19th-century world where parlor tricks with tariffs might have once worked. In fact, it's a strategy that, if implemented, will backfire on Trumponomics.

There Is Never Just One Reality

Fri, 20 Jan 2017 07:51:28 -0600

Just as there can be a difference between what a speaker says and what the listener hears, there can also be a difference between how two people react to the same fact situation. My reality may be very different from your reality, because we each select the facts that are most meaningful or useful to us.

What's Yours Is Theirs

Thu, 19 Jan 2017 10:03:15 -0600

Federal civil forfeiture proceeds rocketed 4,155% between 1986 and 2013. And it could get much worse if Trump gets his wish for U.S. attorney general.

Why Is Our Government and Media Obsessed With Russian Hacking and Trump's Favorable Opinion of Putin

Mon, 16 Jan 2017 15:57:40 -0600

Most of the media seems obsessed with the idea that Hillary Clinton lost to Donald Trump because of Russian interference. The media is also convinced that being friendly with Russia is the wrong approach, and that Putin is manipulating Trump. In addition, although they have often lied to us, every one seems willing to believe our various security agencies. To see the truth one must cut through the fog of our government's propaganda.

Dutertenism: The New Revolutionary Ideology That Is Ready to Alter the World We Live in

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 11:11:51 -0600

My first musing on President Rodrigo Duterte of The Philippines was an eye-opener for my conscience on how some leaders continue to stay relevant and capture the hearts of many through their unselfish acts. I find it obligatory to pen my second on this emerging great leader. In my first article, I have coined the term 'Dutertenism' mainly profiling his unorthodox, but successful methods in dealing with the maladies rampaging The Philippines for the past 40 years, as a result impeding its progress, unable to keep up the pace with the other South-east Asian nations.

The Words You Use Make a Difference

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 10:52:41 -0600

There has been considerable discussion in the news lately regarding words- what was said, what wasn't said, what was meant, how it was interpreted, if harm was intended, if defensiveness was justified, etc. This is not a new occurrence, and has probably existed from the time that language was developed and used. Here is an exploration of how the choice of words can make a great difference in the meaning of a communication.

Cultural Education of The Youth: The Vehicle For Sustainable National Development

Sun, 15 Jan 2017 10:29:09 -0600

The knowledge on cultural practices that are beneficial for society and nation building has been the lasting treasures of the old sages in various communities. They were fortunate to have been enlightened and tutored by their fathers and other old family members. The means of cultural education was through informal means and settings. This included evening gatherings, society meetings, and during communal works and interactions with the elderly members of the community. The regular tutoring that was received by the current old generation through these informal avenues abreast them with the time-tested cultural practices that ensure good relationships, good work ethics and the exhibition of good moral behavior.

Third World Employment Is Here

Fri, 13 Jan 2017 10:14:06 -0600

A new study says that 94% of the 10 million jobs created after 2008 were temp positions. That's 10 million jobs with no security and little future... it's a recipe for disaster.

Aim at Your Desired Market or Target - Adjust Your Trajectory, Eliminate Distractions and Detractors

Wed, 11 Jan 2017 13:11:26 -0600

Get rid of hindering ways of thinking, disallow other people to influence your thought life, or to influence your decision-making process. Be cognizant of distractions or detractors that do not have your best interest at the heart, especially in your interactions with them. Set aside quiet or alone time to meditate or to hear your own thoughts. Decide to vibrate with thoughts of higher desires and actions in your daily deeds. What you do daily can pave the road to your success, by setting an intention in motion for reaching your goals, by action taken daily. In honest effort and joyful intentions follow what brings you the most bliss in your emotional arsenal of life actions to reach your desires and dreams with integrity.

My Last Entry

Wed, 11 Jan 2017 10:57:42 -0600

Dear America, did you adopt me because you had no choice when I arrived to your doorstep? Or do you despise the fact that you had to take me in? Do you despise me and forsake me the same way your other natural child who is drunk every other day denies that he has a son? Or like the woman who could not care less if one of her many daughters has not arrived home since last Friday, but it's not a big deal for her since it's one less mouth to feed-no longer a problem. And if they're called natural then what is so natural and normal about them. Am I not normal then? Not natural? Then perhaps I mustn't be from this Earth, and I guess that's why you call me "alien."

Importance of Donating to Charity

Tue, 10 Jan 2017 09:21:28 -0600

The bottom line is that donations can go a long way in helping to make a positive impact on the lives of elderly people. In addition, with so many elderly care NGO in the country, volunteering and donating for this cause is extremely easy and convenient as well.

Anti-Trump Golden Globe Narrative Misses The Reality Of Our Politic

Tue, 10 Jan 2017 06:57:06 -0600

It's obvious that the mainstream media, Hollywood and the Washington DC elite are for the most part very leftist in their political views - no secret there - and yet, despite all this power, the Democrats lost the election - why? It's simple really, they stopped listening to the middle class and for 8-years silenced their critics calling them stupid, ignorant, racist, and haters, in fact, it must be true it was reported on all the news outlets and in all the newspapers - bless those wonderful journalists?

The Feds Are Inside Your Home

The Problem of Licensing, Accreditation and Chartership

Fri, 06 Jan 2017 09:06:43 -0600

In psychology group behaviour dictates we cluster together to find support and safety. In this paper we will review the need for societies, associations and clubs that organise a profession such as education, psychology and other forms of social support. In particular we will look at the business of creating rules and regulations to supervise and control members that fool the public into thinking they are protected or safe from abuse by the scam of licensing, accreditation and charterships. In summery to show that such insidious practices are in fact no guarantee of professionalism or quality control.

Plastic Guns To Be Outlawed - But Why?

Sat, 31 Dec 2016 13:01:03 -0600

Perhaps you are a supporter of the Second Amendment, and do have much a problem with our citizens owning guns - or perhaps you are tired of listening to the TV scaring you about gun violence, and just wish all handguns in the US would go away. It's hard to believe that I or anyone else can convince you of the other perspective, most everyone seems to side with one side or the other, and some perhaps have caveats to their middle of the road "gray area" view of it all. Something like; All Law Abiding Citizens In A Good State Of Mind Should Have The Right to Own A Gun. Okay so, let's talk about this debate for a moment shall we?

Cyber-Storms on the Horizon

Fri, 30 Dec 2016 07:09:48 -0600

We're no longer masters or even partners with technology, rather slaves to it. It's inevitable that a cyber-beast of a program will escape its electronic compound vaporizing firewalls everywhere and plunge cities, regions, even countries into the "Stone Age" of the 1980s. It could very well be our cyber-Fail Safe moment.

2017: A Year of Victory

Wed, 28 Dec 2016 13:12:10 -0600

This is your year of victory! Now, you will pass over to that side of victory. Your victory has come. This is marking the end of your weeping, gnashing of teeth, agonizing, tormenting from the enemy. This is marking the end of that mockery. You have stayed too long on that side. Now, rise and go over to the side of victory in Jesus' name! Victory means conquest, triumph, win, success. I see you now crossing over victoriously in Jesus' name! And to begin to cross over also means that you have been some where before now, but the place has been suppressing, holding back, unfavorable, unpleasant or unproductive. But Thank God, your year of changing positions has come. Praise God! Let's go.

Faculty Professors And Staff At Universities Vow To Fight Against Donald Trump

Tue, 27 Dec 2016 07:01:34 -0600

Last time I checked, Universities existed to teach the next generation and prepare them to take the helm and propel our society and civilization, and humankind into the future with the right knowledge and skills to do it. And yet, these days professors and academia in general seems to have taken up a new cause, they call it many things; social justice, equality, diversity, sustainability, progressive agenda. In fact, it appears that they believe these things to be more important to their mission than actually teaching our next generation the very subjects we've hired them to teach. Let's talk.

Politically Left-Leaning Professors Are Attacking The New Trump Administration

Tue, 27 Dec 2016 07:01:08 -0600

We all know that most of academia in the United States leans far-left towards a very progressive (I believe regressive) agenda, and pretend to be very egalitarian in their viewpoints even if their arguments are as flawed as the worst socialist governments of world history. One would think that they of all people would have studied their history - such is not the case apparently.

Assad Defies The Scheming Puppeteers Who Thrive On The Chaos In Syria

Thu, 22 Dec 2016 09:38:01 -0600

Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian President, states that his country has been "the target of foreign conspiracies for geopolitical and other reasons". "Conspiracies, like germs reproduce everywhere, every moment and they cannot be eradicated". "yet we have to fortify our community, what we have seen through the media and political positions does not require a great deal of analysis that there exists a conspiracy".

Reassessing President Obama In Office

Tue, 20 Dec 2016 07:20:02 -0600

After Obama was re-elected our Think Tank looked at his popularity and his record as president, it wasn't very good. ObamaCare turned out to not be working, the Middle East was worse than it had ever been, and the country had falling into a victimhood mentality. President Obama went around the world apologizing for America rather than promoting us. Political correctness had run amuck and race-relations were worse than they'd ever been in the US.

Are Men Constantly On The Prowl for Women to Bed Down With?

Tue, 20 Dec 2016 07:18:02 -0600

Feminists always chastise those who attempt to categorize all women into a single mold. Although I rarely can handle the feminist rhetoric or its inherent hypocrisy - I guess, I do agree that forcing all women into a single mold or statement is bound to get you into trouble. Generalizing okay, or for the sake of mathematical probability fine, but just because someone is a woman, doesn't mean there are like this or like that. Let's talk.

Brain Enhancement Drugs, Robotics, And Embedded Chips - Future Students Considered

Mon, 19 Dec 2016 07:21:07 -0600

At our think tank we often consider the future and its ramifications. We are about to change the normal evolution of our species, making it better for the world we live, our technologically advanced work and all the worlds we may live in the future - off world civilizations in space, other planets and moons. It's inevitable, but is it right to do? Let's talk.

Why Stories of TCU Minority Students Should Invoke Change

Fri, 16 Dec 2016 15:10:27 -0600

TCU has been in the news recently for their attempts to improve the educational experience they offer to minority students. The chancellor has put forth a plan to bring around some change, and students have been opening up about their struggles using the hashtag #BeingMinorityatTCU. We should support the efforts of our school to give everyone on campus the same great experience, regardless of who they may be.

The Trump Economic Asteroid

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 09:22:46 -0600

There are economic asteroids headed for us right now, in fact... hidden by the incessant prattle about the president-elect's latest tweets. Don't let fake news drain your wallet.

What's Wrong With The United Nations' Agenda 21 Program - Sustainability Is a Good Thing, Right?

Thu, 15 Dec 2016 07:04:21 -0600

When the United Nations talks about 'sustainability' people listen, governments listen, or politicians at every level listen and say; that sounds like a really good idea. But, I dare to ask; is it? Is it a good idea to have some sort of global government overseer telling us the best management practices to stay as efficient as possible - using the latest clean technologies? Suggesting things we can do to improve and ushering in a new age of global socialism.

The Tremendous Influence Cinema and Cine Actors Have With Common Men in South India

Mon, 12 Dec 2016 11:53:45 -0600

India is defined as a country of different cultures. The official logo of Indian Government is 'Unity in Diversity.' There are hundreds of differences between various echelons of people and their ways of living and cultures which started from age old civilisations. There is, however, one common factor along the length and the breadth of India which is CINEMA.The fact is that a vast majority of Indians are lovers or so to say, are fanatics of motion films. If they are only the fanatics, the problem will end there. But the pity is, cinema has its great influence in all the fields of life starting from family lives of common man up to political factors deciding the fate of elected Governments. It is this alarming situation which has necessitated writing this article.Due care has been taken to avoid personal references.

How Prepared Are We?

Mon, 12 Dec 2016 08:49:46 -0600

The Boy Scout motto: Be Prepared! How often have we heard this phrase. Yet there are those lingering questions about the preparedness of this country in the event that some calamity will strike this country.

The Left Is Still Trying To Process How Donald Trump Won

Sun, 11 Dec 2016 17:07:26 -0600

Not long after Donald Trump won the 2016 Presidential Election a fellow think tanker type was so dumbfounded that he stated to me; "Lance what everyone is trying to process is how a political campaign based on lies and hate speech could succeed in the most advanced economy in history." Of course, such a statement in and of itself shows just how out-of-touch this gentleman really is. You see, the lies and hate speech actually came from the other side constantly calling the right "racists" and all sorts of other derogatory things and lying to the public while their personal emails showed how they really felt and what the left was really up to.

The Race To, And Now From, The White House

Fri, 09 Dec 2016 13:09:48 -0600

Last month--and for about a two year period before that--we had "the race to the White House" in full tilt while we now seem to be experiencing "the race from the White House," similarly hectic. (Don't know about you, but I am getting winded from all these races!) While President-elect Donald Trump is busily engaged in a "victory lap" of sorts in celebration of the "Miracle Of November 8 That Salvaged The United States From Certain Ruin"--or, according to CNN's own "Last Angry (black) Man", Van Jones, that day was, as he referred to it, "Whitelash!"--President Obama is desperately making an attempt to salvage what remains of his so-called "legacy." And doing a rather poor job of it, too.

The Collapse of Paper Assets

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 09:23:13 -0600

Stock prices are at levels rarely seen in history. The bottom line: We are in a bubble... a massive paper bubble. It's time to diversify your assets.

Bizarre Case of Thabo and Garden of Eden

Mon, 05 Dec 2016 09:16:33 -0600

I hate Thabo. No, Stupid. I am not talking about the South African former President Thabo Mbeki.

The Harsh Life of a Construction Worker

Fri, 02 Dec 2016 08:14:46 -0600

The article deals with the harsh life of a construction worker. Further, it tries to explain their aspirations and how they cope with it in everyday life.

Why We Must Stand United As One, Now More Than Ever

Fri, 02 Dec 2016 07:26:59 -0600

A lion prowled in a field occupied by four bulls. He repeatedly tried to attack them but to no avail. Whenever the lion approached, they turned their tails to one another - so from whichever direction he advanced, he was met by their horns. However, one day a quarrel broke out amongst the bulls, and each went off to pasture alone in a separate corner of the field. Soon after the lion charged, killing all four bulls one by one.

Big Brother Trump Is Watching

Mon, 28 Nov 2016 10:18:45 -0600

Set aside your feelings for Trump's broader agenda. Focus on his intentions for privacy and free speech. He has never expressed interest in protecting civil liberties. In fact, it's quite the opposite...

The Last Prophet! - Michel De Nostradamus?

Wed, 23 Nov 2016 08:36:39 -0600

The wine press is full of people claiming themselves to be prophets nowadays and they gender a large following of believers in their camps, however, the clear majority of these self-proclaimed prophets and futurists are frauds and fakes whose only purpose is to milk the gullible out of their money. It is normal for a person to want to feel special, to have a sense that he or she is above the fold, to believe that they are in possession of exceptional knowledge and gifts that few other people are endowed with. So, along with greed, personal recognition...

Trump Won! My Post Election Day Confession

Mon, 21 Nov 2016 15:07:39 -0600

Some months back; after listening to Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, and their supporters; I saw the coming election as one that would have to deal with the angry citizens who felt that their government had let them down. While I didn't think I had anything in common with Trump or Clinton-I voted for Sanders in the primaries and a third party in the election-I was forced to reevaluate Trump when he won the election. Although I don't like the man, I did see some positives in his agenda.

Hello Technology, Goodbye Jobs

Mon, 21 Nov 2016 11:14:02 -0600

As the Internet of Things takes over, it will do more than provide convenience. It promises to steal nearly all existing jobs. Without change, this is bad news all around for pretty much all of us.

The Democrats and Their Liberal Media Cronies in a Panic State of Mind

Fri, 18 Nov 2016 07:20:11 -0600

It was about three am on Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016, when the media pundits could hold off no longer. They had to award--so reluctantly and so painfully that it shown on their anguished faces--the winner of the presidential election to their long-derided, openly ridiculed, and often butt of their brain-addled humor and cruel jokes, Republican nominee Donald Trump. They could no longer pretend a miracle was in store for their beloved candidate, Hillary Rodham Clinton. No, the miracle had already taken place hours earlier, perhaps even as early as nine pm when Donald Trump was racking up state after state in his red column. The map of the United States began to look as if something had been butchered on it. In effect, that is precisely what happened. Trump had slowly, painfully--but surely--slaughtered the hopes and aspirations of the supposed shoo-in Hillary Clinton.

Live and Let Live

Tue, 15 Nov 2016 10:27:14 -0600

The World is gifted with two current world leaders who are bent on making headlines. One is Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India and the other is Rodrigo Duterte, the President of The Philippines.

Five Christmas Annoyances That You Cannot Avoid

Thu, 10 Nov 2016 15:37:04 -0600

The irksome Presidential election is finally over, so Americans should be relieved to get back to normal. Unfortunately, another long annoyance is upon us now, the annual pains that come along with Christmas. I am not referring to the task of shopping in crowded stores, nor the chore of wrapping gifts, nor the inevitable broadcast of Jimmy Stewart in It's a Wonderful Life or the non stop airing of Darren McGavin in A Christmas Story on cable channel TBS.

The Truth About Global Warming - A Spoof!

Tue, 08 Nov 2016 07:09:20 -0600

I believe that climate does change and that, over the course of the history of the earth, we have had times of cooling and times of warming. We are currently in a time of warming - and I submit to you this explanation for that warming.

The Upcoming Saga: Election 2016

Mon, 07 Nov 2016 11:25:40 -0600

A movie from fifty years ago can reflect the dilemma we find ourselves and speak to our better nature. There are some old movies that hit right to the heart of what we go through as a country. The writer's and filmmakers get it right most of the time. In 1967, the country was faced with racial tensions, and what type of country we wanted for our children. Because that's who we vote for until our kids can go to the polls on their own. Anyway, this movie just made me think of what we thought and how we powered on even though the person we might have wanted in the White House was not there to cure our every need. The baby-boomers; which I am a portion of, really had to face many obstacles and difficult decisions back then. Would I change anything; some things, but the people I see and walk amongst every day are like me, trying to make it in a diverse world that is ever changing. I confess it ain't easy, but it beats the alternative. Which is the opposite of being tolerant and accepting. It's not a good look.

An Excuse

Fri, 04 Nov 2016 13:49:41 -0500

While most people are passive, and some are aggressive in their approach to everything, including conversation, others are manipulative. My theory is that the passive folks are evenly split between being happy or being unfulfilled. The aggressive ones either swim in self-induced success or they drown in defeat. The manipulative folks are having fun. They play a game that few recognize. They are cunning, devious, and bear watching constantly.

The Gambit of Power and Control in Human Deception Part 1

Wed, 02 Nov 2016 09:29:00 -0500

From a classical criminological perspective, everyone is responsible for everything they think, say and do. There are no excuses for maladaptive behaviors perpetrated upon others. People premeditate by way of conscious choices. Humans are skilled at their own deception, in every contrivance to defraud, con and injure other persons. Fully capable of being dangerously predatory, exploitive and malevolent creatures, with clever calculation and malice aforethought, the human species can be quite insidious. By way of cunning desire and malevolent intent, everyone has the capacity to selfishly exploit any others, in order to get his or her way in every hedonistic manner imaginable. Where people are concerned, nothing has changed in the history of human nature. Within this conception of the classic framework, the theoretical framework asserts the absolute necessity for intellectual responsibility, moral ascendancy and ethical accountability.

Broadcast Television Makes It Clear: It's a Man's World

Wed, 02 Nov 2016 08:23:38 -0500

I don't know if the Millennials have thought about what their generation could accomplish after the election of 2016. I mean, if they want to keep Planned Parenthood alive; they are going to have to fight the powers to be in order to keep the organization. They also have a duty to change the television broadcasting outlets to empower women. As it stands right now, women do not have a seat of power at the discussion table in broadcast news. Women are 'television arm candy' and that needs to change. Millennials have a huge responsibility to make a difference for women. How can we continue into garner media coverage that is biased against women every step of the way? We have to think of ourselves as a force in the world. Not coward down because a man doesn't like the way we look when we seek higher office. This is a big undertaking that can be rectified and online news and broadcast news has to have more women at the discussion table going forward.

New Life for a Collapsing Economy

Mon, 31 Oct 2016 10:22:37 -0500

Money for nothing. Politicians and bureaucrats intensely fancy the notion. But if they want to give away free stuff, then they should offer up something that will truly impact the consumer economy...

America and the Pain of Prejudice

Thu, 27 Oct 2016 12:49:46 -0500

Yesterday, mid-morning, I emerged from a take-out restaurant towards a parking lot, walking through the seating area of the outdoor dining plaza. There, I encountered a heated stand up exchange of words between two men.

Debunking All Modern Claimants That Are Calling Themselves the Authentic Israelites

Wed, 26 Oct 2016 08:48:42 -0500

There is a creepy phenomenon that has been prevalent in Christian influenced societies for centuries and that is the boastful assertion by an assortment of many who claim themselves to be the descendants of a vague group of people known as Hebrews and Israelites. The core of this zeal to be identified as Hebrews and Israelites is the stipulation in the Christian Bible that the Israelites are god's chosen people who have been set apart from all other people that inhabit the planet Earth to receive special favors and blessings, and by default, rule over others.

What Does "Such A Nasty Woman" Really Mean?

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 14:16:14 -0500

After the debates, I usually will look at what's being talked about on social media. The women really took what Donald J. Trump said as a zinger that has empowered them, as did the "deal me in," statement made by Mrs. Clinton. Some of the Tweeter feeds had me deliriously joyful about how women feel about themselves. In other words, when the 'nasty woman' comment was said, women everywhere went high when he went low. There are a few chuckles on the Tweeter feed today.

A Eulogy for Democracy

Mon, 24 Oct 2016 10:12:04 -0500

In better days, America's capitalist democracy was the envy of the world. Now, however, it's dead... and American voters are the ones who killed it.

Social Intelligence in 2020 - Relevance of Social Intelligence in the Future

Sat, 22 Oct 2016 19:13:50 -0500

The future human-society would be dominated by the influence of technology and its offshoots. And in a world which would become increasingly impersonal, Social Intelligence would be the secret sauce for interpersonal 'success and fulfillment'.

Is the Media Ignoring Trump's Calls for Revolt Over Election Results?

Thu, 20 Oct 2016 13:37:18 -0500

This year, 2016 politics is the meanest, nastiest, and outrageous I've ever seen. I have been voting since the 1980's and this is the election of all elections. The players are not well liked and we are expected to make a choice from the two main candidates. No wonder there are people that are confused and haven't made up their minds. This process is not going to be easy by any means. I tell people to read. Do not rely on the Internet solely. Read books that have been written about the candidates or by the candidates themselves. It will give a better view of what they have been pursuing and community service they have accomplished in their lives.

Should I Completely Discard the Entire Bible or Not?

Thu, 20 Oct 2016 10:33:47 -0500

Perhaps it may or not be wise to toss the entire Bible just because one does not believe that there is a god entity, or if there is a god that the Bible is not the inerrant words of this being, or simply because one believes that the Bible is just another form of mythology, or is only a bunch of made up stories written by a scallywag people that are commonly known as modern day Jews that are claiming to be Hebrews, whatever Hebrews are. Perhaps it's not wise to kiss and tell, or spend your time and energy in gossiping, or to expect that some else should pay your bills, or eating fatty foods when you are already topping the scale. There are many things in this dustbowl that we call physical life to consider in an effort to make a beneficial decision as to the manner in which we shall live it.

'The Lion Is King' - But When and Where?

Tue, 18 Oct 2016 13:19:30 -0500

I was inspired to pen this article based on my observations at workplace. However, I am optimistic that the story that is about to be narrated is not exclusive to me alone but also cuts across everyone's dilemma in sustaining a living. I have used animals as my main players in my observations.
