The Divinity of Man

Wed, 17 Jan 2018 14:56:47 -0600

The idea that human beings are endowed with inner cores of Divinity has been wide spread. This was spread by mystics and occultist, whose teachings from their "Ascended Masters" indicate that there is Divinity in man. Even religious leaders have keyed into the narrative and now it has become like a mantra for those who think they are seekers for the truth.

I Will Create It for You (3)

Tue, 16 Jan 2018 15:23:44 -0600

Another thing the LORD will do for you this year is that He will make water (blessings) to come out of your dry situations. That is, springs of miracles will begin to erupt from your hitherto hopeless situations. You know that it is not common to find lots of water in the desert. Maybe, after a very long drive you may be lucky to find an oasis or a handful of shrubs and things like that. But here, God is saying that it is not just going to be drops but a flow of 'rivers', springs of blessings, a deluge of miracles, signs and wonders! Now, you already know that a desert means dry, sandy, unproductive, hopeless and abandoned place. Do some parts of your life / vision resemble these? Sure, you need this creative divine intervention.

Together, Step-By-Step

Tue, 16 Jan 2018 15:23:11 -0600

I was watching a television interview by Dr Ali Bacher with Frik du Preez, the former Springbok rugby player. Frik was telling him how different it was in those days: the players weren't paid and they had to buy their own togs.

Four Different Schools of Christianity

Tue, 16 Jan 2018 13:23:39 -0600

In the world today we have over 900 Christian different denominational churches that are passed to humans from four sources of knowledge bases! In order to reach the ultimate and God authorized source one has to search diligently and persistently until he finds it.

A Beautiful and Meaningful Diwali Without Crackers

Mon, 15 Jan 2018 08:04:59 -0600

Celebrating Diwali with not so privileged class of society by making this festival special and memorable for them. So, I along with my family decided to visit a nearby school run by a Non Governmental Organization and then went to an orphanage. We got a few gifts for the children on our way to the School and the Orphanage. These were cookies, sweets and chocolates. We interacted with the little ones, distributed these things personally to each one of them. We really enjoyed talking to the kids and knowing their future goals. It was also a satisfying and a self awakening experience.

Do You Really Know Him?

Mon, 15 Jan 2018 07:11:40 -0600

Instead of "deep word diving" in search of the benefits of Kingdom citizenship, lit us pursue a relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Many seek healing, financial deliverance, and materialistic prosperity in lieu of fellowship with their Creator.

Jesus in Your Shadow

Sat, 13 Jan 2018 08:46:25 -0600

17Let every detail in your lives-words, actions, whatever-be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. What a huge command.

Why Is Finding God So Complicated?

Fri, 12 Jan 2018 14:53:42 -0600

That question takes for granted that it is difficult, and I think I may know why. For many serious seekers for God, the thought is, 'Look I'm serious, and if there really is a God, it might be good to know more about him, or even to find him, but there are just too many rivals, just too much crazy confusion, and I haven't the foggiest idea how to choose one over another. I mean, how would God expect me to know how to pick exactly the right one? And then, what's that bit about "finding" - is it like a momentous discovery.' Yes, I do accept this is a challenge. There are so many religions and ways of life, how will we check them out?

Did Draupadi Have a Secret Love for Karna?

Wed, 10 Jan 2018 07:06:55 -0600

I love to write on contentious topics. here is an idea that germinated in my mind after reading the translation of the Mahabharata by C Rajagopal Chary. This is a very graphic account of the Mahabharata, which is essentially an account of a battle between two clans who were cousins, namely the Pandavas and Kauravas.

The Jerusalem Phase of the Early Church

Mon, 08 Jan 2018 14:09:49 -0600

The Jerusalem Phase of the Early Church, as described in Acts 1 to 5, starts with Christ's resurrection. Just before His ascension He told His disciples to stay in Jerusalem and wait for the power of the Holy Spirit. They received that power on the day of Pentecost, which was ten days later. Over the following 2 to 4 years the church grew exponentially, from the initial 120 followers to thousands, but the church was limited to Jerusalem only and consisted of Jews only.

A Different Look at Parables

Sun, 07 Jan 2018 17:44:24 -0600

What is the purpose of Parables? Is it to illuminate the Truth, or hide the Truth? How does Jesus' fulfillment of Isaiah 6 fit into His teaching? Are Parables for us today?

Mercy Rain

Sun, 07 Jan 2018 17:43:18 -0600

2018, here we go! I pray that you will have a prosperous new year.

Reaching Your Goals In 2018

Thu, 04 Jan 2018 08:02:43 -0600

Every January, so many of us set lofty goals for the year ahead on everything from healthier living to wiser spending; from character changes to personal makeovers; but by the time we get to February or March we slip back into old habits and our new year goals are all, but forgotten. Does this sound familiar? Well, here are a few steps from a scripture from my favorite book: the Bible. The scripture is 1 Peter 1:13 and if applied as follows, it will help you set your 2018 goals and stick to them...

Even More Religious Shorts

Sun, 31 Dec 2017 15:09:14 -0600

Of all of those Big Questions central to philosophical concepts that surround life, the universe and everything, the realms of theology and religions and the nature of deities continue to fascinate. There's the pro side; there's the anti-side. There aren't too many fence-sitters. I'm in the anti-camp as the following third helping of mini religious short pieces illustrate.

We Are God's Adopted Children

Fri, 29 Dec 2017 15:02:32 -0600

UNICEF-the United Nations Children's Fund-estimates that 353,000 babies are born every day-just over four babies each second. Birth begins a life of 70-100 years and impacts those whose lives overlap with the child's. Every generation relates most profoundly with those who share their time in history. Jesus is the exception to that statement.

The High Calling

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 14:44:55 -0600

The choosing of the twelve Apostles was not done through random selection or a lottery system, but by Divine initiative. When Jesus sent out the Apostles for the first time, there were serious challenges and directions given. It was a high calling that carried tremendous responsibility.

The Moses Principle of Leadership: Teach, Tell and Train

Thu, 28 Dec 2017 08:07:19 -0600

The unwillingness by leaders (Pastors, Managers, Administrators etc.) to delegate tasks to team members, in either business or any other type of organization, is very evident in today's society. However, there are possibilities of serious consequences if we allow our concept of our calling or sacred duty to turn into some form of micro-management. Take an example from the church, where 80% of the work is done by 20% of its members. This writer is truly on to something.

2018: I Will Create It for You

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 20:18:19 -0600

I love how He described this in Isaiah 43:18-19, "But forget all that - it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers for them in the desert!" My God! Listen to these great phrases again, "a brand-new thing", "a pathway through the wilderness", "rivers in the desert." Jesus Christ! Yes, these are the things you should expect this year. It is going to be a very glorious one!

Interpretation and the Spirit of the Law

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 20:17:39 -0600

The greatest knowledge of all is a basic, fundamental understanding of the spirit of God's word. Of why it is that we should love our neighbour, why it is that we should love God, why it is that we should be honest and decent in our dealings with others, why it is that Jesus told us that when we give to our fellow human beings we give to him. One can understand all the linguistic subtleties in the world, all the cultural nuances and literary idiosyncrasies. One can recite and chant all the laws, all the out-of-context quotations, with appropriate Biblical references, idiot-style, until one's heart is content, but until one understands why, there is no comprehension whatsoever of what Jesus is trying to say to us.

The Power of A Christian

Wed, 27 Dec 2017 14:45:25 -0600

As Christians, we are given commands by God to do things that seem impossible. It is not in the impossible that we are commanded to move but to move in the power made available to us. The blockage of power does not make the work undoable, it is the adherence to our wrong understanding of God's Word.

Just a Cursing

Tue, 26 Dec 2017 10:48:34 -0600

There's this thing, a bit like the old sci/fi Blob, a blight on my perfect potato, that I am forever bumping into in faith. It's like a bad rash or something, the gift that just goes on giving, spreading all over like an affliction. The curse of Eve.

The Pain of Christmas

Mon, 25 Dec 2017 14:02:58 -0600

Looking through my Facebook friends and their attitude towards Christmas stirs up a rage within me that is hard to contain or to explain. It is not me but the Spirit within that is so enraged by the falseness of it and Divine revenge follows for those who celebrate the ritual. Already this last couple of days has seen one disaster after another and death coming to thousands.

'Tis the Season Full of Folly

Thu, 21 Dec 2017 14:48:57 -0600

BESIDES the commercialisation of the Christmas season, I have found it to be a bizarrely stressful season for so many. Certainly, the pressure on people to buy unusually special gifts for their friends and loved ones can be enormous. But there is also a great deal of stress on relationships, notwithstanding the stress that comes with the consumption of food and drink that comes with the season.

No Contradiction

Wed, 20 Dec 2017 15:19:51 -0600

There was no need to divide the Body of Christ over the "grace" doctrines, such as election and predestination. Here is my feeble attempt to show how things can be synthesized without doing damage to Truth.

The Misunderstood Bible

Sun, 17 Dec 2017 20:59:40 -0600

The Bible is probably the most misunderstood, misinterpreted, and misrepresented collection of books and letter every written. The problem is not with the Author, but with the reader.

Hope - The Great Christmas Gift From God

Thu, 14 Dec 2017 15:14:01 -0600

We are well into the season of Advent. It is a season of hope. It is a hope that we remember as we prepare to celebrate both Christ's birth in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago and His eventual return. This hope included bringing good news to the oppressed. This hope was expressed in the passage we heard from Isaiah. It is the same passage that Jesus based His message in the temple on in Luke 4:16-21.

How To Gain Maximum Blessings of Quran

Tue, 12 Dec 2017 14:14:43 -0600

There are many books in this world which have their own unique significance in our lives due to their certain extract or story line, or may be the lessons given in that book snatches our attention and change our mind so that we can start thinking about things from a new perspective. But all these books have been made by human beings, so there are many chances that we can edit those books to some extent. The only book in this world whose each single word has remained unchanged and will remain the same in future, is the holy book Quran which has been sent to us by Allah Subhana Watallah and it was revealed on our beloved Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him).

How to Offer Tahajjud Prayer

Tue, 12 Dec 2017 14:13:49 -0600

Muslims have been given the duty to perform the prayers five times a day. These prayers are considered an obligation for the Muslims and they have to perform it at any cost, as there is no compensation for leaving those prayers. They are among the five pillars of Islam and holds a great significance in the life of Muslims. Apart from these five prayers, there are other prayers too, which also have a great reward from Allah Almighty. These prayers are not obligatory and the Muslims have been given a choice to perform them or not. But they are quite important and their importance can be seen through various hadith.

A Different Look at the Sermon on the Mount

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 21:21:10 -0600

The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and the Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6) are often looked at as one event recorded in two Gospels. Are they in effect one sermon or does each carry a distinct message?

How to Help a Friend

Sun, 10 Dec 2017 21:18:06 -0600

When Paul encourages us to help our friends who have lost their way, he makes a good suggestion: 16... And sing, sing your hearts out to God! And, if like us, he had the Old and the New Testament bound as one book, he would probably have written as follows: Use the Word of God, the Bible, to correct your friends. Sing praise...

More Religious Shorts

Helped Up From the Mud

Thu, 07 Dec 2017 07:12:56 -0600

My wife had a serious talk with me. I had to correct someone close to me.

Call to the Starting Line

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 20:30:26 -0600

The Apostle Paul often referred to the Christian life as a race. I wonder how many Christians fail to realize that our lives are an all out effort to achieve what God has called us to do.

Use the Word of Christ to Build Your House

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 09:58:39 -0600

Once, while I was still working at the factory, we had to manufacture windows for an imposing development close to Cape Town. The development consisted of 450 residential units.

A Secular Invocation

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 09:55:54 -0600

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the case of the Town of Greece v. Galloway that legislative prayer, including invocations, do not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. Since this decision, humanists of all stripes have been able to deliver secular invocations during legislative meetings.

Obscurantism at Its Best As Muslim Pir Impregnates Over 300 Women

Sat, 02 Dec 2017 11:18:12 -0600

Islam came to the sub-continent nearly 1300 years back when the first invasions from Arabia took place. Initially, the Muslims came to plunder but later many settled in India. From about the 9th century onwards, the Muslims increasingly became the rulers, first of North India and later of the entire India.

Waiting for Jesus

Thu, 30 Nov 2017 15:03:04 -0600

At first glance, the passage from Mark is full of doom and gloom. The disciples asked for signs of the end times, and Jesus told them that the end times would be full of danger. Is this really the way for us to start the season of Advent? Isn't Advent supposed to be a time of hope and preparation? The answer to both questions is yes. Advent isn't about preparing for Christmas. It's about preparing for the coming of Christ. Advent always begins with preparing and waiting for Christ to come again. Just as the first coming was an event of cosmic proportion, so will the second coming be.

Separating the State From the Church

Thu, 30 Nov 2017 08:27:28 -0600

If we fail to learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Though it is quite clear knowledge has increased and continues to do so exponentially, yet wars, hunger, and preventable diseases also continue exponentially. This begs the question, what kind of knowledge are we acquiring?

I Speak Peace

Tue, 28 Nov 2017 07:18:25 -0600

Some people are in the habit of saying: You "speak" it over us. In other words, because you say it, it will happen.

Living Among the Dead (3)

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 18:57:12 -0600

But whatever the enemy has taken away from your life will be restored as you read this message. Jesus said that the enemy, Satan came to steal, to kill and to destroy, but He, the Son of God came to restore and to give us life in abundance. That means that whatever the enemy stole from you will be multiplied and restored in abundance. Your sanity is coming back. Your health, life, family and everything that this thief called Satan took from you is being restored. The controlling power is changing hands. These dark powers will no more control you in Jesus' name! Till next week, God bless!

The Lost Art

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 18:55:44 -0600

In our changing society we have lost yet another aspect of civility: the art of listening. Many conversations have become one sided. When our listening mode is shut off, we are, in reality, devaluating the importance of the individual with whom we are engaging.

Did The Egyptian God Osiris Exist? A Debate

Sun, 26 Nov 2017 09:23:51 -0600

There is one atheist argument that no Christian theist can really refute, and every time I've used it, no Christian theist has successfully tried to refute this. It goes like this: "Had you been born and raised in a different or past society / culture [like that of ancient Egypt] you'd be singing the praises of a quite different deity (or deities) with equal faith, belief or conviction [like Osiris] and you know this to be so. So what does that say about the existence of your Christian God?"

How Kings Should Lead Their People

Fri, 24 Nov 2017 08:32:47 -0600

On Reign of Christ Sunday, we reflect on the mighty acts of God proclaimed every Sunday of the past year. We celebrate that, because Christ has humbled himself to the point of death on the cross, God has exalted Him and made Him King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Living Among the Dead (2)

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 15:49:57 -0600

Where are you now? Are you dwelling at the other side of life? The dark and painful side? One of the things you will notice is that this deranged man at the cemetery was at the other side of the lake; a lone, suffering, languishing and helpless. That was what Jesus saw and told his disciples, "Let's go over to the other side of the lake." Yes. Are you still there? A lake as you know spiritually is a symbol stagnancy, contamination and lack of freshness, lack of flow. Then, come to imagine somebody living beyond it. Beyond, worse, farther than the lake. This guy's problem was a double tragedy. So many people today are simply living at the other side of life. They are in terrible, unspeakable situations. They are fed up with life. They don't understand how it feels to be in good health. They have never enjoyed it even for one full month. Some cannot live, sleep, function without drugs, alcohol, sex, clubbing or casino. And these habits have also further pushed them into many other terrible things.

Gone Fishing - Lesson For Disciple Makers

Wed, 22 Nov 2017 15:41:15 -0600

Becoming a fisher of men is not as simple as people might think. Even the disciples chose to go back to their old lives after Jesus was crucified.

Right opposite the Coetzenburg Athletics Stadium in Stellenbosch is a small bridge across the Eersterivier. Only one car at a time can use the bridge.

Let Us Not Forget

Sun, 19 Nov 2017 21:19:49 -0600

We sing and talk about Jesus and our unfailing love for Him, but it seems it is more a "tell" than a show. We seem to take His forgiveness for granted.

There Is No Point - I Am Close To Giving Up

Sat, 18 Nov 2017 18:21:46 -0600

If that is you, do have a little think about what I would like to share with you, before you make up your mind any further. I have a simple question to put to you so that we can try to tease out an answer to it: how did you discover that there is no point, perhaps because your life hasn't worked out as you wanted and you are facing huge difficulties, or perhaps you are even tempted to give up being a Christian?

Did God Ever Keep Secrets in the Bible?

Wed, 15 Nov 2017 08:28:41 -0600

Are you a Christian? Do you believe the Trinity is a mystery? If you do then there must be secrets in the Bible.

Blame Shifter

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 14:54:39 -0600

We have all done it, and are quick to notice when others pass the buck, and say, it wasn't their fault at all. And if you hadn't done what you did first, well I wouldn't have done what I did, would I? And so it goes on, round in circles. Is there any way to see through this smokescreen, and does it matter any way, if we find it socially convenient to reduce our own blame by passing it on to someone else?

God Doesn't Make Rubbish

Tue, 14 Nov 2017 07:04:10 -0600

Birds of a Feather

Biblical and Carnal Faith

Sun, 12 Nov 2017 19:15:35 -0600

Biblical Faith sees beyond the obvious, while Carnal Faith looks at situations in life and defines them through human reasoning. Biblical Faith sees life through the spirit, while Carnal Faith sees life through the mind. What kind of faith do you have?

Some Anti-Theist Religious Bits & Pieces: Round Nineteen

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 08:20:42 -0600

Philosophical concepts that surround life, the universe and everything, including those realms of theology, religions and the nature of deities continue to fascinate. Opinions proliferate. There's the theist pro side; there's the atheist anti-side. There aren't too many fence-sitters. I'm still in the anti-camp as the following nineteenth helping of "Religious Bits and Pieces" illustrate.

Does God Feel My Pain?

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 20:19:16 -0600

Church fathers taught that God does not feel emotions. Modern theologians assure us that God does suffer as God and as well along with us. Else He would be impersonal. Right?

Why Not Only Protestants Should Celebrate the Reformation

Fri, 10 Nov 2017 07:16:52 -0600

Traditionally, the Reformation has been celebrated as a good thing by most people in Europe and North America, except Roman Catholics. Recently, that view has been challenged, especially by humanists, mainly because the Reformation led to centuries of division, warfare and persecution. In this article I set out reasons why everyone should celebrate it, regardless of their religious convictions.

Think, Talk and Act Like Jesus

Weary Not

Thu, 09 Nov 2017 08:33:06 -0600

Galatians 6:9 "let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up". Ecclesiastes 3:1 "there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven". Sometimes we are prone to become worried and more concerned when we don't see results as at when we are expecting to see them.

The Deadly Weapon

Sun, 05 Nov 2017 19:17:09 -0600

Listen to Me - Do As I Say, Not As I Do

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 15:12:53 -0500

Most parents have at one time or another jokingly said, "Do as I say, not as I do." But somehow, children never seem to listen. Why? Because apparently actions speak louder than words. The warning Jesus issued in Matthew 23:1-12 is the same: "Do as they say (for, after all, they sit on Moses' seat), but not as they do."

A Lesson in a Package of Shame

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 15:11:20 -0500

Thu, 02 Nov 2017 09:56:41 -0500

With the recent surge of climatic catastrophes around the world, amateur prognosticators and charlatans have attempted to relate these climatic phenomena to what the Word of God terms "the end of the world". So let us see, in a few words, what is the Biblical "end of the world", especially as it occurs in the portion of the Bible popularly described as the New Testament.

The Death and Life of Moses

Sat, 28 Oct 2017 08:24:49 -0500

If you knew you were dying, what final words would you say to your loved ones? Final words are important, because they are often the most precious memories our loved ones have of us. They might even contain final instructions or words of wisdom. Death is hard to face because it's hard to see someone go, especially if they are young. We can comfort the grieving by helping them, listening to them or being there for them, just like Moses was there for the Israelites before he died.

How to Share Our Christian Faith

Wed, 25 Oct 2017 15:19:54 -0500

First Segment I'd like to discuss this question " How do you Share our Christian Faith". This is sometimes called "Evangelism". Although it might be easy to communicate our faith with other Christians, it becomes much more difficult to share our faith with non-Christians, and this discussion hopefully will help you with this.

Why the World Thinks You Are A Joke

Tue, 24 Oct 2017 15:07:54 -0500

When we speak one thing and then do the opposite, our actions are very telling of our heart. It is out of our heart that we speak, but it is out of our belief that we act.

Sat, 21 Oct 2017 18:22:47 -0500

Research has produced the finding that being involved in a religion is a positive factor in happiness. This article considers why this appears to be contradicted by the everyday observation that not all Christians seem to be happy all the time and looks at the reasons for some of the exceptions.

God's Presence

Thu, 19 Oct 2017 15:40:59 -0500

The first part of the passage we heard from Exodus was Moses' third intercession on behalf of the Israelites. The people had repented, expressed their sorrow and remorse, and divested themselves of the Golden Calf. But God has told them that He won't go with them because He might consume them with His wrath. God's holiness can't abide with sin. Because the Israelites were sinful, God's holiness would consume them on the way. God would be present with them in an indirect way through an angel.

Dancing Their Way Into Heaven As Father Gods

Tue, 17 Oct 2017 21:13:45 -0500

In today's world we are so far removed from the superstitions and rituals that have shaped it that talking about them has an appearance of something too strange to contemplate. So it is with the 'death dance' that was symbolic of one's acceptance as a god in heaven. To find its source and understand its meaning one must first allow the scales of blindness to fall away and a new reality to penetrate the brain-washed minds of religious faith.

Dopamine and So on

Tue, 17 Oct 2017 07:01:49 -0500

Some time ago I woke up with the question: Why should every school pay school fees for the implementation of IT for learning? By the way, I'm on the governing body of a high school in our town and IT is my portfolio.

Check It Out

Sun, 15 Oct 2017 21:34:18 -0500

Why is our theology defined by others? Many of our beliefs are based on public acquired knowledge through verbal and non-verbal forms of communications. We believe, to a large degree, what we are taught.

Fri, 13 Oct 2017 11:17:11 -0500

Thu, 12 Oct 2017 18:24:03 -0500

5And that means killing off everything connected with that way of death: sexual promiscuity, impurity, lust, doing whatever you feel like whenever you feel like it, and grabbing whatever attracts your fancy. Sometimes you do something wrong.

Naughty As Always

Tue, 10 Oct 2017 14:59:39 -0500

After 40 years I was back at my primary school in Somerset West where my daughter took part in an evening athletics event. I could hardly believe it, but one of my old teachers, Mr. Le Roux, was still there and was the starter for the evening. I walked over and introduced myself. With such a unique name as mine, he could still remember me. And his first words to me? "Are you still as naughty as you were then?" I found this remark by the teacher quite strange. Was that all that he could remember about me?

Equals? Surely Not!

Mon, 09 Oct 2017 14:52:10 -0500

Are we all equal? Before the law of the land, maybe we are; in other ways we are not. But being different in various ways does not make us less than equal. And in our Christian faith, most of us Western Christians who are Gentiles, or non-Jewish, often forget the wonder of our equality before God with Jewish or Messianic believers.

Proclaiming Sin and Naming Purveyors of Sin: A Requirement for Christians

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 20:57:05 -0500

If, for example, the ancient Egyptians had, at the inception of their reign over Egypt, packaged a direly poisonous substance they regarded as holy, in a purely pagan sense of the word, into a stone container and buried it with their very first Pharaoh, expecting it to be magically transformed over the eons of time into a delicious un-poisonous food consumable by later Egyptian generations, what would actually be the end result? If, in the 21st Century, a pagan Egyptian were to unearth the stone container and sample what he regarded as a magically transformed poison, he would be sadly disappointed to find that the poison is as deadly now as it was the day it was anciently buried. Sin is basically the same, and does not change with time. What was anciently sin, and crimes resulting from that sin, are the same sin, and crimes resulting from that sin in the 21st Century. The old immorality today is certainly not a new morality, but only the old immorality being called a very devious and pernicious name. To taste of the old immorality today is as poisonous, and deadly, as it was anciently.

Molding the Future

Sun, 08 Oct 2017 20:55:51 -0500

Every parent must realize the responsibility they hold in bringing up their children. If our contemporary parents fail to take up their parenting responsibility, there will be little hope that the next generation will make any difference.

The Law Versus God's Grace

Thu, 05 Oct 2017 15:43:12 -0500

Philippians 3:4-14 contrasts the Law of Moses (especially its strict observances) with God's grace. It tells us what we need to do, such as putting old lives behind us and concentrating on our new lives with Christ. Grace and a right relationship with God are more important than strict observance of the Law. God often calls us to give up something that is important to us so we can grow closer to Him in faith. What we give up pales in comparison to what we gain-eternal life.

The Focus in My Head

Thu, 05 Oct 2017 15:42:51 -0500

Each of us is being shaped by the things going on in our heads. What we permit in our thoughts determines what we eventually become.

Worship Security Teams Are Vitally Important

Wed, 04 Oct 2017 20:35:36 -0500

Two Way Radios are essential for a Church's Security Team as a tool to help prevent tragic situations from occurring. Equipping several responsible members with two way radios provides a valuable opportunity to get in front of a situation rather than simply reacting.

Once - Always?

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 19:28:18 -0500

People are in quest of "Life Insurance" that guarantees if they have a spiritual accident they will be covered by their Biblical policy. What is the status of an individual who walks away from his faith? Is there ever an opportunity to return from the Faith, or is he eternally lost?

More Disproof Of The Existence Of God

Sun, 01 Oct 2017 11:05:22 -0500

It is not possible to absolutely prove that God (or any other deity for that matter of which there are thousands postulated) does not exist. Likewise it is not possible to absolutely prove that orbiting teapots, pixies, extraterrestrials, demons and ghosts don't exist. However, the actual existence of God can be shown to be so unlikely as to be 'proof' beyond a reasonable doubt.
