Family of crash victim speaks out

We hear from the family of a woman hit and killed while jogging. The person accused of causing her death has been arrested.  Two people were booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail Friday afternoon, both charged with causing deaths in two different accidents.

Burns Elementary students go caroling

Some students in Daviess County spent the evening spreading Christmas cheer. 35 third, fourth, and fifth graders from Burns Elementary went on a caroling trip tonight. They started off singing at a retirement community, and then went to several houses in the Twin Lakes and Bon Harbor areas. The chorus was given cookies and hot chocolate at one of their last stops.

New restaurants set to open on Main Street in downtown Evansville

Respite care a first for homeless women in Evansville

The goal for one Evansville organization is to help women heal. On Tuesday, United Caring Services will host a ribbon cutting at Ruth's House, an emergency women's shelter. They just wrapped up $15,000 worth of renovations.

Ohio County law enforcement bust 20 suspected drug dealers

After months of investigation, law enforcement in Ohio County has ferreted out the people they believe to be behind the county's drug trade. Officers set out this morning to serve 26 arrest warrants.  "We've been quite busy for the last 6 months," Sheriff Tracy Beatty says.

High school students plant trees in Roberts Park

Community support for Roberts Park continues to grow, as another tree-planting event is planned. Volunteers are scheduled to plant *200* trees, from 8 until noon.  About 50 high school students from Evansville and Mount Vernon will be helping with the project.

Happening tomorrow in Evansville A silent vigil planned for Aleah Beckerle, who has now been missing for five months. That vigil is planned for St. Matthews church on North First Avenue at 6:30.   Aleah has been missing from her home on East Iowa Street since July.

Woman accused of sexual misconduct with a minor in court

A woman accused of having sex with her boyfriend's son was in court on Friday. Angela Ward, 45, faced a judge in Spencer County Court for a reduction of a bond hearing. She is facing two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.
