Robert provides a feeble justification for his addiction to coffee by referencing Peter Rabinovitch work on aging in mice. (Incidentally, the May 5, 2005 New Scientist article is worth a read. Rabinovitch's team genetically engineered mice to produce a high level of free radical absorbing catalase in cellular mitochondria. The work provides support for the free radical theory of aging, and suggests that a pill could be used to the same end.)

In this pilot episode, Robert chats with his Imaginary Me from his home in Averill Park. He discusses the events which draw him to video blogging, how he will approach the project, and the themes he would like to treat. Lame, but a beginning.
