Your battery is over current protection please remove the battery

Sat, 23 Mar 2013 00:38:00 +0000

Many of us experienced this problem while we are charging our smart phones or tablets. While charging the smart phones, they charged to some extent say 80% then display message like above and stops charging. Even newly bought Tablets or smart phones will display message like above and stops charging.

The above problem is mainly due to three reasons.
1. Calibration Issue
2. Downloading large files while phone is charging
3. Faulty battery

1. Calibration Issue: The manufacturer charged the battery to a certain level say 70% then packed it. After few weeks the battery gets discharged even though it is not used. Say it drops to 50%. Since the battery is not used, the battery memory wont recognize it. Still it thinks that it is charged to 70%. When you insert this battery then the device cannot get the correct data since the battery is not used and the battery memory will say 70%.

So the actual charging is 50% but the battery memory thinks it is 70%. Difference is 20%. When we insert this battery in a phone and charging it, then at 80% charging the battery memory thinks it is fully charged and stops charging. Then the system displays the above calibration error message.

Fix: Very simple. Use the phone till it auto shuts off. Do not charge even when you get the message to charge. After the phone auto shuts off, then charge the phone to full 100%. This time it wont display above error message. So when you purchase a new phone or Tablet, then use it completely till it auto shuts off. Then recharge it completly to 100%. So do 100% discharge then 100% recharge two to three times when you purchase a new Tablet or smart phone.

2. Do not download or Do not use your phone or Tablet when it is charging. When you get the above message, in this case also apply the above fix that is full 100% discharge then full 100% recharge.

3. Still the above problem occurs then it may be due to faulty battery.

How to take Screenshots in Android Devices?

Thu, 21 Mar 2013 00:37:00 +0000

Android 4.0 and higher versions should have built in Screenshot capability.
Just hold Volume down and power button simultaneously for about 2 seconds. You will hear a capture sound and a Toast message. To get the captured image go to /sdcard/Pictures/Screenshots. In some mobiles Screenshots may be in Gallery folder. In some mobiles the above combination may not work. Then try the combination below.

Power and Home button.

If the above two combinations fail then you can take screenshot by using Screenshot Ultimate app. After installation this app will check whether your device has inbuilt screenshot capability.

This app is free. No root required. This app supports over 10 different capture methods. You can download this app from Google Play Store.

Has Google finished it's first quarter 2008 Page Rank update?

Thu, 14 Feb 2008 10:50:00 +0000

Google has started PR update from second week of January 2008. From January 10 th onwards some reported that their websites demoted to Pagerank Zero. Some reported that, the inner pages of their websites got good ranks but their homepage got Zero Pagerank. A better example for the above case is is still showing Pagerank zero. But some of the internal pages of is showing Pagerank of 4.

The above cases clearly indicates that google has not finished it's January 2008 PR update. First it has updated Pagerank's of new and some popular websites. PR update is a long process. According to Netcraft report the total number of Websites on Earth is around 156 million. So it is impossible for Google to update the Pageranks of all these websites on earth in 2 or 3 weeks.

I strongly believe that Google has not finished it's January 2008 PR update. For example take my blog. I have started my blog in October 2006. My Pagerank is still 2 since from 2006. But today I checked my blog's Pagerank on Google Data Servers. Most of the Data Servers are showing a PR of 2 but some Data Servers are showing a PR of 7. This clearly indicates that Google will update my PR in the coming days.

You can check your PR on major Google Data Centers at this website.

How to configure PPPOE mode in UT300R2U, WA3002G4 adsl routers for BSNL DATAONE?

Sat, 02 Feb 2008 10:31:00 +0000

Recently Huawei MT 880 adsl router's are not working in PPPOE mode. It is working in Bridge mode only. For multiple computers using the same internet connection, we can configure PPPOE mode very easily. But Bridge mode configuration is little bit difficult when multiple computers are using the same internet connection. If anybody wants PPPOE mode, they have to replace their MT 880 routers with utstarcom modems like UT300R2U or WA3002G4 adsl wireless routers. UT300R2U modem is available at Rs 1250, so it is better to buy it. PPPOE configuration is same in both UT300R2U and WA3002G4 modems. So I will explain it now for WA3002G4 model. It is same for UT300R2U model also.BSNL people will do Modem, splitter, phone line connections etc. They will connect the modem to your computer. Now open in internet explorer. It asks DSL Router's username and password. So enter admin as username and admin as password. Then it will display Device Info window as shown below.Click advanced setup. Then it will display Wide Area Network (WAN) Setup. First row will display details about PPPOE protocol. At the end you will observe EDIT button. Just click that button. Then ATM PVC Configuration window will come. Just click NEXT. Connection Type window will come. Now select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE). Then click NEXT. Now enter your PPP username and PPP password which are given by BSNL. Then click NEXT. NAT settings window will come. Just click NEXT(For UT300R2U model here Enable IGMP Multicast and WAN service window will come. Just click NEXT). Now WAN setup summary window will come. Now click Save button. WAN Setup window will come. Click Save/Reboot button. This completes the router settings for PPPOE mode. There is no need to enter DNS numbers. Now right click MY Network Places then select properties. Now right click Local Area connection then select properties. Then double click TCP/IP. Then select Obtain an IP address automatically. Also select Obtain DNS server address automatically. Then click O.K, then again click O.K as shown below. In Windows XP machines there is no need to enter gateway address Now your system is O.K for BSNL Broadband. How to share the internet connection among more than one Computer?Just connect LAN cable from Ethernet port of ADSL Modem to a HUBs first port(uplink) instead of P.C. All P.C's will be connected to Hub through LAN cables. Remember one important thing that is all computers in LAN must have same workgroup. So set Unique workgroup to all of the computers in the LAN.In all machines set the TCP/IP properties as 1. Obtain an IP address automatically and 2. Obtain DNS server address automatically. In Windows XP, Vista machines there is no need to enter gateway address but in Windows 98 machines you have to set the gateway address as in TCP/IP properties. After these settings internet will come in all machines.[...]
