Hello space readers! :)

Quick 'Hello' from me!

Tue, 25 Apr 2017 12:19:48 GMT

HI, I'm Alodie and I've just joined this forum. I'm looking forward to exploring it - there's so much to read!

A former Silicon Valley tech dinosaur here, to say hello!

You'd never know that once upon a time, I was a senior marketing analyst in the tech-hub of the world (well, one of them!) I am now a self-proclaimed tech-dinosaur that can barely figure out how to use this forum. [*self-promotion deleted*] At any rate, hello to all and peace to the world. MomAuthor

Let Me Introduce Myself

Mon, 24 Apr 2017 16:35:03 GMT

Hello All! I love to read! I had a Nook way back when, then moved to reading on an iPad, which I've done for several years. I finally realized that I'm not happy if I can't take my book outside with me and enjoy it with a nice cup of coffee or tea, so I'm jumping back into the eInk world. I ordered the Kobo Aura One! I can hardly wait for it to arrive! Happy Reading!

Shakespeare Dictionary

Sun, 23 Apr 2017 13:08:45 GMT

Hello, I am a new member and look forward to learning more about mobi reading. I have a Paperwhite which I love. It has the capability of switching dictionaries and I have written a glossary for use when reading Shakespeare. I took some old glossaries and using mobi pocket creator and calibre turned them into a book that can be loaded into the paper white and selected as the dictionary. I would like to share this for free with anyone interested. If anyone can advise me the best way to do this I would be grateful.

Just saying Hi from Chester, UK

Tue, 18 Apr 2017 16:13:56 GMT

Just a quick Hi, long time reader here, but never posted. Am a big big fan of digital books, and gave up on analogue ones years ago... Have owned the Kindle Keyboard, Kindle, PWv1, Voyage, Oasis but recently jumped over to a Kobo Aura One. My kids and partner inherited the others as hand-me-downs ;-) Well, that's it really! Want to try to contribute more, so got to start somewhere, thanks for having me!! :D

Book sniffing somewhere in Bucks......

Tue, 18 Apr 2017 15:53:46 GMT

Greetings and hello from Buckinghamshire, UK. I have a Kindle Voyager which I absolutely love and I also use the Kindle app on my IPhone but, as stated, I do sniff books. Nothing beats the smell of an old book, it's beautiful. I love being able to finish a book at 3am some nights and get the next book, if there is one, within minutes. An utter revelation and pure genius if you ask me! I also love finding websites that offer ebooks for free or on offer. The classics are free which is wonderful, I fall in love with my Kindle more everyday. Can anyone tell me who invented the ereader? Links to discounted ebooks are most welcome. I enjoy reading history, fact and fiction and mostly Medieval. Some fantasy, horror, true crime, biographies and similar. I like being recommended new books and authors, especially something I would normally never read. That's it for now, this is getting a tad long! I hope to speak with some of you soon. X
