Hello everyone. Merry Christmas to you all. I wish you and your family are in health of body peace of mind. I am new to this forum, and I am trying to create epub from scratch. I would ask you all to help me if I face with some difficulties. Thank you all. Sincerely, Speaknut

I am new to the site here. My wife has a PocketPC and is an avid e-book reader. I have a Palm Device that I purchased used from my company and am just getting in to reading ebooks.

Hi!

Tue, 12 Dec 2017 03:21:13 GMT

Hello everyone~ Just ordered a Kindle Paperwhite 32G from Japan, and have a 6" 212ppi Korean ereader from Ridipaper (along with another 7.8" from the same company coming this Thursday). I'm suddenly going from one e-ink reader to three! I feel like such a hoarder :oops2: Just providing random information here, but the 6" reader is produced by Boyue, and while it's a custom model the base is the Boyue T63. For the 7.8" I heard that they worked with Netronix and made a completely independent custom model. I'm in love with my Ridi Paper Lite, so excitedly waiting for the other two!

Hello

Mon, 11 Dec 2017 03:26:18 GMT

I've popped into this forum a number of times since I started using Calibre, but I didn't join until a week or so ago. My introduction, therefore, is well overdue, particularly since I found some Very Good Advice about making calibre communicate more effectively with my Galaxy S4. I tend to keep a low profile, and I don't like services like Google and Amazon looking over my shoulder, so I've switched my Android tablets, including my Fire HDX, over to the Pocketbook app (which I actually like more than the native Kindle reader) and use calibre to convert (to epub format) and manage my ebook collection. I downloaded and installed Pocketbook independently, and not from Google Play. Many thanks to Kovid Goyal for his excellent programming. AA

Hello World

Tue, 05 Dec 2017 21:51:53 GMT

Hi just stopped in to, as the topic suggests, introduce myself. Im Phi10s0ph3rking A.K.A. Sean from beautiful Portland Oregon USA. I've Just upgraded my old kindle keyboard to the new and way overpriced Kindle Oasis 2 and I'm excited to get it turned into the E-reading dream machine I think it can be. I read a lot of philosophy and nonfiction about brain science and technology as well as a healthy helping of sci fi, and graphic novels. Anyway that's probably enough for the moment glad to be here and look forward to helping out where I can.

Hello..

Mon, 04 Dec 2017 02:44:38 GMT

I'm new to this forum. I have a Kindle Fire and an Iphone from which I can read e-books. However, I just bought a portable DVD player which touts it can read e-books. The provided manual is sketchy at best. So, I thought I'd download a few different formats to see if they can be read. Also, this looks like a very comprehensive site!! Don in sunny Florida :)

Hi

Sun, 03 Dec 2017 00:56:18 GMT

Hi, I found this forum after smacking my head against the wall and feeling like a complete moron for the last couple of days, due to being unable to figure out how to do what I would have thought would be super common - read a drm-free book on a PC and Android devices, and have my progress etc synced. Without getting into too much detail, there only seem to be a couple of reader apps that have both desktop and Android apps, and Kindle was being a massive PITA not letting me send non-kindle books to my PC (it would work and sync fine between Android devices though). Any preliminary advice and recommendations would be appreciated since I feel like I'm missing something really basic here. Anyway, I'm off to search the forums, wish me luck!
