Hiking in Two Medicine yesterday we were talking about these rocks and inspired me to learn a bit more about our beautiful green and red rocks. Thank you for this info.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments. I also love the Grinnell Formation and have even found some small stromatolites in it. I have seen some pretty large salt cast in the Grinnell as well! So many great things to see up there!

I have visited this section 3 times- this is the best review that I have seen. Horodyski was a great scientist (too soon gone) and there is so much more to be seen. Equally interesting is the redbed and crossbedded sands of the Grinnell Formation... it is bright red but and somewhat boring but is full of desiccation surfaces, rippled beds (shallow water) and perfect salt casts. Someone showed me raindrops on one surface - funny, they were cubic (salt casts).

The woman who sleeps with him knows the most. Pillow talk reveals the most about the character of a man. Nate was charming, deceptive, the true picture of a pathological liar and narcissist. I didn't want to believe it for years until too many things big and small just didn't add up.

He did know about the raptor. He knows where he is digging at all times. He is the most brilliant field guy I've ever seen--a sort of genius. Yes, to some degree others have been jealous--but Nate is a braggart, loves approval and brought this on himself.

Guess what--it won't end. We'll see him in the news again. The Sternberg wanna-be is likely in trouble again with international fossils he shouldn't have. Sorry Nate--but the only legacy you'll leave behind now is one of complete fool.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up!!

Wait, weren't the coastal plains surrounding the Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway the preferred habitat of Triceratops?

it blows my mind that they just destroyed those first discovered tracks and soon these newly discovered tracks will be destroyed. I live in Fayetteville Arkansas and I wish I could go visit some dinosaur tracks as easily as I could these if they weren't going to be destroyed.

Not too bad... A pretty treacherous drop off when you first cross the creek, though. Roads were nice and dry too, other than the two big wallows to the west of the site. Thanks again!!!

To go along with what Greg said, I think its important to emphasize that most people accept evolution in some form. You get more flies with honey than vinegar, as the old saying goes. I think many people equate Creationism with their Faith. Although we use the term Creationist as a short-hand for a small, vocal group of people who take the Bible literally, not all people will see this distinction. If we can get people to see that evolution doesn't remove their faith, we are on the road to making serious headway.
