Getting a picture from a cell phone that can't MMS message to an email address.

Tue, 30 Sep 2008 18:10:17 -0800

I'd like to get an image off my cell phone. The problem is that there's no away to connect the phone to a pc and no way to send an MMS message to an email address, only a phone number. Am I totally screwed? The phone is a pantech pg3200, which is fine for basic use, I didn't think I'd ever need to get a picture off the thing so I was never too concerned with it.

But after messing around with it I've pretty much found there's no way to get pictures off the phone. No usb port, no bluetooth, nothing. And I can't send MMS messages to an email address, only a phone number. The service is the AT&T "pay as you go".

I realize a way around this would be to send the picture to someone then have them email it to me from their phone. The problem with this is that the person in the picture wouldn't appreciate me sharing the image with anyone. So unless I have hands on access to another phone capable of helping me out (I don't) that's a no-go.

Additionally, I have access to mobile email on the phone with a yahoo account but apparently can't send attachments from it. Same with AIM.

Name this mystery baseball song

Wed, 09 Apr 2008 18:22:19 -0800

I like to know what this baseball themed song is (that link has autoplaying embedded audio, click here to download the mp3). Its most certainly a kid singing and the lyrics are "baseball is my favorite sport, I play it every day." It's possible from a kids show of some kind. Sorry I only have this short clip from a radio commercial. Googling those lyrics returns one result, which is some guy asking about the same song on a different forum. There's another part of the lyrics that I don't have a sample of that go "baseball, yeah baseball (unintelligible)".

Spotty cat eyes

Sat, 23 Feb 2008 13:45:56 -0800

My cat has dark spots in one of his eyes. Is this something I should worry about? One of my cats has a couple of black-ish spots on his eyeball. The biggest one is a couple millimeters wide but he has a couple more smaller ones. Is this normal? Will it affect his vision?

Help me find a power supply

Mon, 23 Jul 2007 21:41:48 -0800

Does anyone know where I can get a power supply that looks like this? It's 8 5/8th inches long, 1 5/8th inches tall and 3 2/8th inches wide. It attaches to this motherboard and comes from this computer. It has one SATA connector, one peripheral power connector and a 24-pin ATX micro power connector. Emphasis on ATX micro because every time I ask a sales person at an electronic store about it they look at me like I'm crazy. And I can't find anything that looks like this on or offline. I've already contacted the manufacturer but haven't heard anything back from them yet. It's a Delta Electronics model # DPS-108DB-1 A. I can't find it on their website either. I'm either looking for another one or one that can fit in the same space.

Scenes of a monster floating outside a window.

Wed, 20 Jun 2007 17:28:00 -0800

I'm looking for instances (either from movies or tv) of vampires or any other undead-type monsters menacingly floating outside someone's window. I'd like to see clips or pictures of such a scene if you got em. Also, if you have any examples from books, video games or anything else, I'll take those too. I can recall a couple of examples of this - 1) The Simpsons Halloween episode where vampire Milhouse and a bunch of other characters are floating outside Bart's window. I think this is a reference to a similar scene in Lost Boys but I can't be sure. 2) There was a scene like this in Creepshow. (btw, if anyone has a screencap of that, I'd like to see it) Thanks!

Alarm Remote Amplification via head?

Fri, 02 Jun 2006 18:37:10 -0800

A long while ago I picked up a tip that you can extend the range of your car alarm remote by pointing it at your head. I've been trying this for a couple of years and it seems to work, but obviously I have my doubts. Is there any rationale behind this? I specifically put the remote right under my chin. I've tried the remote from long distances, couldn't get it to work. Place the remote under chin, it works. The more I think about it the dumber it sounds. What do you think?

Sniffin' Sticky-Tak?

Tue, 15 Mar 2005 21:07:29 -0800

I've gotten carded at a grocery store for buying Sticky-Tak, otherwise known as adhesive putty. There has to be an explanation for it, but I don't know what it is. Send help.

How can I tube this paste?

Tue, 18 Jan 2005 19:28:53 -0800

I want to take a food product with a paste-like consistancy and put it in a tube. Is there any way to do this from home, on a small to medium scale? I'm looking for something like a "home tubing system", like a kit or something that comes with tubing and caps that you can fill and cut and close yourself (something like homemade toothpaste). Does anything like that exist? Or, failing that, does anyone know the cheapest/easiest way to get this done?

Allergic reaction to latex bandaids?

Sun, 12 Dec 2004 21:22:29 -0800

Two days ago I had an allgergic reaction to two latex bandaids I had on my arm. It's red, has a very bumpy texture, and itches like mad. 1. Is this normal? 2. Now my entire arm occasionally gets covered in goosebumps. Is that bad? I've been putting Blue Star Ointment on it to stop the itching. But still, I'm a little freaked out. It's never happened before. The bandaid was Curad brand.
