Heroin deaths in Vanderburgh County advance to 22, talks for needle exchange program begin

Deputy Coroner Steve Lockyear confirms there are now 22 heroin overdose deaths in Vanderburgh County this year, triple the number from 2015. The AIDS Resource Group started talking about the possibility of starting a needle exchange program during a public forum Friday night.

Woman facing sexual misconduct charges after authorities say she had sex with a minor

Indiana Police has made one arrest in connection to a developing child molestation case. Angela Ward, 45, is facing several charges including sexual misconduct with a minor.  According to a police report filed in Spencer County Court on October 6, police were tipped off to a video of Angela Ward making sexual advances to a minor.

One community fund just received one of the largest monetary donations in its history.  We're told Jasper leads the community fund for Library, Enrichment, and Downtown was just awarded a $100,000 gift by Friends of the Arts, an area non-profit in Dubois County.
