Evansville man pays contractor who doesn't finish project

Rick Stinson had to call Crane Concrete to his house to finish the job that another person claiming to be a contractor didn't. He says the man was handing out flyers in his neighborhood, and Stinson hired him to resurface his driveway.

Local restaurant helps Gatlinburg victims

One restaurant provided help for victims of the massive wildfires in Gatlinburg. Workers at Walton's International Comfort Food served up special meals Sunday night in an effort to help Gatlinburg fire victims. Anyone that dined at Waltons International Comfort Food on Sunday helped fundraise for a fire relief fund in the Gatlinburg area.

Ohio Co. woman arrested for robbing store

Officers arrested one woman for robbing the Silver Beach General Store in Hartford on Saturday. The Ohio County Sheriff's Office says Chassedy Boswell was charged with first-degree robbery and three counts trafficking in a controlled substance.

Henderson man arrested after attempted kidnapping of a juvenile

One man was arrested and charged with attempting to kidnap a juvenile. Kentucky State Police say 20-year-old Henry Dixon was hiding near a house in Henderson and tried to grab a female victim. She was able to escape and run inside the house.

Police found a woman crying and shaking inside an Evansville store after she told them she had just been raped. According to reports, the victim told police 43-year-old Dashawn Patton had raped her at a nearby home.
