On the debate stage Wednesday, Democrat Hillary Clinton said she had respect for the Second Amendment gun rights while criticizing a 2008 Supreme Court ruling that held the U.S. Constitution protected an individual right to possess firearms. Mrs. Clinton faulted the landmark decision, District of Columbia v. Heller, for rejecting city regulations requiring weapons to be stored dismantled and with a trigger lock, misleadingly suggesting the law’s focus was to keep toddlers away from guns.(image)
