Rob Proctor: Stock up on pots

Thu, 27 Feb 2014 11:23:44 GMT

(image) KUSA - At last count in August, I had over 600 pots--with something growing in each. This probably sounds extreme. Some people have a thing for shoes or cats: I like pots and vests.

Proctor: Terrariums surge in popularity

Sun, 23 Feb 2014 12:30:21 GMT

(image) KUSA - Gardening under glass has become popular once again. Terrariums focus attention on the self-maintaining world inside a glass container. Once planted and sealed, this miniature garden becomes its own mini ecosystem. Terrariums rarely need any watering or maintenance.

(image) KUSA - The magic date is just a month away. St. Patrick's Day (March 17) marks the date when it's time to plant seeds of cool season vegetables and flowers. Proctor: Be creative with Valentine's gifts for gardeners

Sun, 09 Feb 2014 12:09:36 GMT

(image) KUSA - Flowers are always appropriate for Valentine's Day. If your loved one is a gardener, however, you might want to go a step beyond, starting with the vase. A beautiful vase will get used over and over through the years, long after a dozen roses have withered.

(image) KUSA - The air in Colorado is dry. Heat it inside in winter and it's really dry--as dry as the desert.
