Hispanic Heritage Week in Thornton

There are a variety of workshops available throughout the week for people interested in learning about the art and history of Latin America. El Centro Su Teatro's Cultural Arts Institute announces Summer Workshops in Acting and Singing. The classes will begin June 12, 2004 and run for 8 weeks, all classes are at El Centro Su Teatro and cost $150 for the course. Cultural Arts Institute (CAI) faculty includes Su Teatro Artistic Associate Phil Luna, Tejano Singer Dee Burleson and CAI Director Angela Maez.

Largest U.S. exhibition of Mexican Colonial paintings on display at Denver Art Museum

The impressive assemblage of approximately 50 works, 17 of which come from the permanent collection of the Frederick and Jan Mayer Spanish Colonial Art Collection at Denver Art Museum, is the largest exhibition of Mexican colonial paintings ever assembled outside of Mexico. Painting a New World brings together works from the United States, Mexico and Europe, many of which have never been exhibited.
