Consortium seeking applicants for 2019 National Sea Grant College Program

The Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium is now seeking applicants for the 2019 National Sea Grant College Program Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship. Students must be enrolled in a graduate program during the spring semester of 2018 to be eligible.

Temporary lane closure on Lee Boulevard, partial road closure on George Perry Street starting Dec. 11

A temporary roadway closure will be in place this week on Mississippi State University's Starkville campus to facilitate underground utility work and the completion of a new canopy.

Beginning Monday [Dec. 11] at 6 a.m. through Friday [Dec. 15] at 6 p.m., the section of road between the YMCA Building and Colvard Student Union and the bus stop at Old Main Academic Center will be closed.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this temporary closure.

'Empress of Soul' Gladys Knight to play MSU Riley Center in January

Gladys Knight, the Empress of Soul, will bring her legendary voice and her impressive catalog of beloved songs to the MSU Riley Center in downtown Meridian on on Jan. 16, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. In the 1960s and ’70s, she and the Pips, her now-retired trio of backing singers and dancers, created a long string of electrifying hits. They included “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” “Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye),” “You’re the Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” and her signature song, “Midnight Train to Georgia.”

MSU Police first university department in state issued both Narcan, medication dropbox
