Under new management

Sun, 25 Feb 2007 14:17:36 -0000

In January of 2006 the development of Yapter was transferred to Kevin L. Papendick (http://www.polarlava.com/ ). Unfortunately I didn't do much with it in the past year, but have recently begun a major development effort. As part of this management change, Yapter will be moving to my site along with my other projects. The new site (currently pre-Alpha) will be http://projects.polarlava.com/yapter/ If you have comments, issues or questions, please swing by and drop me a line. Bugs and such that are currently here will be addressed as best possible before this site is decommissioned.

Yapter welcomes Ivo Koster!

Mon, 11 Aug 2003 21:26:59 -0000

I'm glad to announce that, a few moments ago, Ivo Koster has joined the Yapter project. Ivo already submitted a few patches for Yapter, but has now become an official developer. We're sure he will turn out to be a great addition to the team!

For a list of all team members, go to https://sourceforge.net/project/memberlist.php?group_id=86555

Flush support in development

Fri, 08 Aug 2003 21:47:49 -0000

Flush support is currently in development. Since today, we're developing a means of telling Yapter to flush blocks to the output, before it is done parsing all blocks. On large sites, this is truly a must. To take Yapter to the next level, flush support therefore must be available.

I'm getting help on this of Ivo Koster--many thanks! As of version 1.9, Yapter's development trunk has split off a branch which sole purpose is to add the flush support. Meanwhile, bugfixing and adding other minor features is done in the main trunk.

To get the development trunk for the flush support, do a cvs checkout on the 'flush-branch' tag.

Yapter v2.13b1 released!

Mon, 04 Aug 2003 22:13:00 -0000

There has been a Yapter release that fixes the bug as described in http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=782776&group_id=86555&atid=580008, about PHP displaying vague warnings where Yapter should.

Furthermore, there is some support builtin to set the warning level that Yapter should use.

The new (beta) release can be downloaded from the downloads page: https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=86555

Important bugfix in all Yapter releases!

Mon, 04 Aug 2003 00:07:47 -0000

There has been an important bugfix in all Yapter releases!

The bug involved unwanted behaviour in the replace() function, as described in http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=782529&group_id=86555&atid=580008

Anyone using Yapter will be doing good upgrading its version! The good versions of the Yapter source are available for download now.
