This project is not dead. It's still alive! I posted a status update to day on the homepage of the project and I'll continue working on the next version.

I'm sorry, but the release of the next version will be delayed for some weeks. The software still needs some testing and some bugs have to be killed. I also have to get the homepage back up again. I'll try to get it online as soon as possible. The CVS-Code has been updated today. Feel free to test it and report any bugs you found.

I'm currently working on the new version of PHP - Langadmin making the code more flexibel and more stable. I'm also working on a database abstraction layer for the mysql database. I'm trying to use clean SQL statements without the special features of the MySQL database. If everything is going fine you're able to use PHP-Langadmin with PostgreSQL as well.
So far more than 50% of the code has been rewritten using the new system which will use different modules for the different tasks of PHP - Langadmin. The new files have been added to CVS today so they should show up at least in two days. But the CVS code is'nt functional yet. Please wait until the next release.
I'm sorry but there have been some changes to the database and there will be now update for version 0.2. You'll have to update manually.

PHP-Langadmin 0.2 is a webinterface for translating applications using GNU gettext. Access priviliges have been implented for this new version.
PHP-Langadmin includes a light user administration using cookies to recognize a certain user. You can now grant any adminright to the different users and restrict access certain packages. The installscript has been updated accordingly.
The system is stable as far as I know but I still wanna test it a little bit until I approve it for production usage. That's why it's still a beta software. Plz test it and report bugs using the bugreport system or send me an email about it.
I would appreciate some help translating the program to different languages.

The project homepage is online. The URL is http://www.php-langadmin.org/. There was no time to write a good documentation for the application but I'm already working on it. It will be published on the homepage and of course in the documentation system @ Sourceforge.
Any comments and feedback is welcome.

PHP-Langadmin now includes a light user administration using cookies to recognize a certain user. The handling of pluralforms has been rewritten to handle any number of pluralforms. Also a small install script has been written to check the configuration file, install the tables for the database and add some default values.
Plz test it and report bugs using the bugreport system.

I'm pleased to announce the first release of the PHP Langadmin project. It's still an alpha version but it's working fine so far.
PHP Langadmin is a webinterface for translating applications using the GNU gettext tools and a MySQL database as backend. Read the release notes for the features included and more infos about PHP-Langadmin.
Supported languages of the interface: english and german. The .pot file for PHP-Langadmin is included with the distribution so you may translate it to your own language as well using PHP-Langadmin.
