Rilke CMS 0.95 beta released!

Wed, 03 Sep 2003 22:29:45 -0000

The eighth release of Rilke CMS, version 0.95 beta has been made available at SourceForge. Rilke CMS provides easy content management for non-geeks. It allows you to easily publish a weblog, update a public website, or collaborate on a private Intranet site.

Rilke CMS is different from other open source content management systems in that it is easy to learn and use, and does not have a blocky look-and-feel.

It relies on five built-in CSS layouts/themes which can be changed with a single click.

Rilke CMS is currently available in English and German.

A live demo of Rilke CMS 0.95 beta is available at:
http://www.rilkecms.com/demo/

Rilke CMS 0.95 beta is a big feature release. It also fixes many long standing bugs.

New Features in 0.95 beta include:

* A redesigned default theme
* A built in permissions / user-level system (writer, editor, administrator)
* A complete user interface for adminstering users (only available to administrators)
* Customizable Links (via a styled drop down menu)
* Customizable Blogroll + Integrated Mini RSS Feed Aggregator
* A customizable contact info block

This release also fixes many bugs, including the (remaining) bugs that occured with register globals turned off in PHP.
The total number of major changes (including feature additions and bug fixes) is 20.

Rilke CMS 0.90 released!

Fri, 08 Aug 2003 15:35:12 -0000

The seventh release of Rilke CMS, version 0.90 has been made available at SourceForge. Rilke CMS provides easy content management for non-geeks. It allows you to easily publish a weblog, update a public website, or collaborate on a private Intranet site.

A live demo of Rilke CMS 0.90 is available at:
http://www.rilkecms.com/demo/

Rilke CMS 0.90 is a feature, internationalization, bug-fix and code-cleanup release. A lot of structural changes have been made in this version in order to accomodate a *one-click language change* system for the administration screen. Currently there is built-in language support for *English and German*. This release has *Quick Post* support, meaning you can add an entry from Mozilla's Sidebar, Mozilla Firebird's Web Panel, and Opera's Web Panel.

Additionally, the group of bugs which plagued the image attachment process seem to have been finally fixed. Major code cleanup of the administration screen which began in 0.85 has progressed nicely. This is the first release which has been tested extensively with register globals turned off in PHP, and it seems to work. For a detailed list of changes, please review the Changelog [ http://www.rilkecms.com/changelog.html ] and this more descriptive article at the Rilke CMS News site [ http://www.rilkecms.com/rilkecms/?id=65 ].

You can download version 0.90 here:
