Now,books take on 3D avatar

Scientists in South Korea have developed a 3D technology in books in which characters leap out of page. The 3D entertainment got boosted by a few films such as "Avatar" and " Alice in Wonderland". Several companies have offered 3D televisions. 3D video game consoles are soon to be launched. Researchers have used 3D technology to animate some children's books like Korean folk tales. The pictures in the books have cues that trigger the 3D animation for readers wearing computer screen goggles. When the readers turn and tilt the books , the pictures in the book move accordingly in 3D animation. According to the researchers, this technology could be used for any type of book, displaying images over smart phones or in museums. [...]
