I'm happy to announce the release of SDSC Syslog v 1.0.2. Like all the
other 1.0.x releases, this is a bug fix release of the 1.0 code branch.
Version 1.0.2 includes lots of interoperability fixes, both for
SYSLOG-COOKED and for acting as a server for Linux syslogd clients.
Please see the ChangeLog for a more complete list.
I would like to thank Wazir A. Shpoon and Matt Simonsen for their help
in find and testing some the Linux syslogd compatibility problems. I
would also like to thank Rainer Gerhards for finding so many problems
with SDSC Syslog's BEEP implementation.
Happy Holidays everyone.

I'm very happy to announce the release of SDSC Syslog version 1.0.1.
This is a bug fix release. It fixes a few interoperability problems which
were discovered when testing another, liblogger based, syslog client.
These only affect the syslog-reliable (BEEP) protocols, and do not
affect SDSC Syslog clients talking to SDSC Syslog servers.

SDSC Syslog has moved to SourceForge.net. This move allows the
developers to take advantage of the superior project management
facilities at SourceForge. The developers will use SourceForge to host
the official CVS repository, the Bug Database, the official download
site, and other trackers --- such as new feature requests.
The mailing lists already established for SDSC Syslog will continue
unchanged, and will remain hosted by SDSC. Likewise the official home
page will continue to be hosted at SDSC.
The new SourceForge.net project page can be found at:
SDSC Syslog in a new syslog daemon which supports new IETF protocols
(RFC 1395) for transporting log messages across the network. It also
offers support for legacy UDP based protocols and boasts a much improved
(in the author's opinions) configuration file.
