Civil War Between Battle Checkers Programs

Battle Checkers on SF.NET includes two different AI engines, one of which currently supports only Plain Rules and is a bit buggy.
As the author of the other engine, Battle Checkers, I start a contest between the two engines.

Contest, or "civil war", whatever you will like more, will be played in Plain Rules - as the only surrorted by both AIs.

When the "Plain"-Checkers AI (to distinguish it from the Battle Checkers AI) will be ready to play, the server will be released to count statistics in continious battles.

Battle Checkers 1.3.4 released.

Battle Checkers is a 3D Checkers game with original "Towers" rules, which make game interesting and easy-to-lost to even mature Checkers players.

The new version includes bugfixes for network playing.

Finally, acegik has released his program, in battlecheckers package. It is still pretty well bugged, but thats ok for the first version. Check it out, the rules are really cool (see readme). It includes plain checkers rules too. If you don't have MS Visual Studio .NET you'll probably need to download some .dll files. If you got a message about some missing .dlls, follow this link: (~800kb)
unpack the files to your {winnt|windows}/system32 directory.

I've released my project, checkers with Russian rules. acegik is currently developing a checkers program with completely different ruleset, based on the 3D "engine" from my Checkers, so check this project again some time later. This ruleset is old Russian checkers game, now almost forgotten; its name can be translated as 'Towers'. Check - you can download a simple Towers program from there.
