PayPal Payments at Store Locations coming in 2013

Fri, 24 Aug 2012 04:00:53 +0000

(image)

(Best Syndication News) - PayPal is working with Discover so that over 7 million merchant locations in the US, and possibly millions more internationally, can start accepting PayPal Payments some time next year. Discover announced that customers may have that option in 2013. Merchants that accept Discover credit cards will easily be able to add PayPal payments when they become available.

Over 50 million PayPal customers in the US will be able to make payments when the offering is available in stores. Because PayPal is working with Discover, the merchants will not need new hardware or software changes to accept the payment method. Merchants will need to participate in the PayPal payment program though. The ones that do take part can post a sign in their window to let their customers know that they now accept PayPal payments.

Advertising in classified is a form of advertising which can be done online or offline. In online advertisement it comes under free classified websites and offline particularly common in newspapers e.g. free ads papers or Pennysavers. Free classified ads are important for giving initial boost to any small internet business.

The classified ad has found its way to the Internet. Internet classified ads do not typically use per-line pricing models, so they tend to be longer. eBay Listing Features

(Best Syndication News) eBay has angered their best sellers over the past couple years with changes to their price structure. Some sellers have experimented with other programs including Amazon and Yahoo. Their latest changes, although not pleasing to everyone, have been less objectionable according to a survey from AuctionBytes.

Some recent changes include the way their search works, the way the Power Seller banner is displayed and the final valuation fees. eBay charges two types of fees: A listing fee and a final valuation fee. Sellers are charged just for listing their items. If the item sells, they are charged a fee based on the value of the item.

Internet Business Seminar Given At Pinon Hills Chamber of Commerce

Wed, 15 Apr 2009 07:07:27 +0000

(image)

Best Syndication News

(Best Syndication News) On Tuesday night we attended the Pinon Hills Chamber of Commerce meeting and presented a seminar on “How to use the Internet to make money”. We are including some of the text of that two part seminar below.

There are two basic ways to generate income on the Internet: Either sell things or produce content. Obviously there are other ways, but we will concentrate on those two methods.

Selling products is a quicker way to generate income but it does require money to get started. Some vendors may try to jump start the process by using drop shippers, but the higher price makes it tougher to compete.

The Effect of Social Media on Businesses

Best Syndication Business

The value of a satisfied customer cannot be underestimated. Indeed, since a business’ primary function is profit and profit is a result of the purchases customers make, it’s only logical that it pays to keep them happy.

In line with this, numerous studies have concluded that acquiring new customers is eight to ten times more expensive than the cost of keeping existing ones. The importance of creating and maintaining client relationships then, is vital.

But, the increasing popularity of the Internet has seen consumer behaviour radically change over the last couple of decades. Therefore, online businesses have had to alter their approaches to customer relationship management, in order to keep up with demands.

The biggest online phenomenon, which is increasingly affecting the way businesses interact with customers, is social networking. Having gained unprecedented popularity, social networking sites and online marketplaces are changing the entire business landscape.

A good reputation is vital to the success of a business. However, while it can take years to establish, it only takes a few moments for that reputability to be destroyed. This is the power of the consumer, and the reason why CRM - customer relationship management - is essential.

Good customer relations are becoming increasingly pertinent in light of social networking. Indeed, once consigned to expressing their opinions to friends via word of mouth, consumers have been given a global voice in the form of the Internet.

Consequently, consumers are making their views known on every imaginable subject, in the form of online blogs and forums. This includes feedback – both positive and negative - on the products and services they purchase.

Carbon Footprint - Is working from Home the Answer to Getting your Carbon Footprint Down?

Home Working and the Carbon Footprint – Are we saving the world?

The green brigade tell us with monotonous regularity that our simply breathing in and out is bad for the planet, but when we put aside their prejudices and look deeper into the issues, we realise that what they are talking about often makes sense. If we drive smaller-engined cars, have more people per car, turn off devices instead of relying on the omnipresent “standby” mode, the cumulative effect will logically help the environment.

To use the example of the car, though, and multi-occupants therein, is it better (overall) to stay at home and work, or to go to the office and share collective overheads such as air-conditioning, lighting, heating etc. In other words, does the higher density of people in an office environment mean that, on a per-person basis, it is a greener solution?

Ebay changes on Payment Options and Listing Fees

Sat, 23 Aug 2008 00:02:59 +0000

(image)

screenshot of eBay's website

[Best Syndication News] eBay may be changing its business model again, and eventually might be dropping the whole auction part out of their business model. The first steps towards these changes will take place on September 24th and news reports are saying that they are trying to mimic Amazon and gain back some sellers.

Changes in Listing Fees for Fixed Price Sales

They will dramatically drop their fixed price fees and they can list multi-quantity for up to 30 days. There will be a 35 cents for a Fixed Price Insertion Fee which is not going to be more or less if you have an expense item or a cheap item, it will be 35 cents. You don’t pay more if you have more quantity either. It’s about time that eBay has come to this conclusion, they were sucking the profit right out from the seller, and that is why many moved over to Amazon. If you are selling books, movies, DVDs, and Video Games you will pay a 15 cent listing fee for the item if it is a fixed price. They will have discounts for 5 cents on special holiday listing times.

(image)

screenshot of ebay.com

[Best Syndication News] EBay will start having major changes to their feedback system beginning on Monday. No more giving out those nasty negative comments or neutral comments to your customers. Watch out sellers for the scammers, this could be a breeding ground for even more fraudulent buyers.

Small sellers may be moving elsewhere to sell their goods. In protest several sellers say they will not post any feedback at all because of this new policy.

Ebay said that they did this change in feedback ratings saying that the sellers would leave retaliatory feedback to negative feedback that they received. What eBay doesn’t know is that customers will work this to their favor if they intend to commit fraud. No one will know who stole the credit card or bounced the check any longer.
