Wed, 21 Mar 2007 06:24:23 +0000in: Yah I'm aware of that, just some of the dramatisations in the movie are not factually correct, and of course the way the whole movie is spun. The issue of conflict diamonds is very real and still is an issue today. Cedric Ang: No probs Cedric, if you are looking for a good movie, this is certainly one! LiewCF: Hard not to recommend it! Ront: Make sure it's not a conflict diamond! Elise: He does have some great performances and I think people are starting to accept him, he's had a great run over the past few years with The Aviator, Catch Me If You Can, Departed etc. decypher: It's a very sad state of affairs. Kenny Ng: It's the shifting of the Hollywood paradigm of happy endings, finally their movie audiences are maturing. dcyk: Hoping to catch it this week.

Tue, 20 Mar 2007 17:04:17 +0000It's a great movie! But too bad Leo died in the end same as in Departed... why these days all hero die in the end?
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 22:49:27 +0000Blood Diamond is a good movie! A lot of violence though. I pity the young kids who are forced to shoot and kill people.
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 10:43:32 +0000Poor Leo has gotten a lot of flack over the years, glad to see that someone still appreciates what a really good actor he is. Loved him in the movie with De Niro as well, called 'This Boy's Life', another must watch movie... :)
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 08:42:12 +0000i watched it yesterday....and made me want to run out and get myself a diamond or two.
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 08:06:55 +0000yes, I recommend "Blood Diamond" as well. Great movie! :)
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 05:04:02 +0000Aight thanx for the review, will watch it. :) Will get depressed eh? Hmm... I've been watching really bad movies these days and it's time for some cool movies. Cheers!
Mon, 19 Mar 2007 03:26:20 +0000I wish to clarify that the events at Freetown really did happen. The original documentary on the event was shown on CNN about 10 years ago. The actual violence was much more than depicted on the movie. A follow-up documentary was shown on CNN a couple weeks back, and nothing much has changed. The issue of blood diamonds is real.
