PHSVB :: Saturday (5/20) pancake fundraiser at Applebee's

There will be a pancake fundraiser on Saturday, May 20th at Applebee's on Cedar Crest Blvd from 8:00am - 10:00am for the Parkland Boys Volleyball team.

PHSVB :: Parkland moves on in DXI tournament with sweep of Liberty

The District XI AAA tournament started on Thursday night with the quarterfinal rounds taking place at the higher seeds gyms.  Parkland played host to Liberty and came out with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-23) win to advance to the DXI semifinals on Tuesday.  Garrett Weigel finished with 9 kills and 2 aces while Michael Zeky added 7 kills, 2 blocks and 2 aces.  The win moves the Trojans to 16-3 on the seasons. 

Next up for the Trojans is yet another matchup with Whitehall in the District XI AAA semifinals.  That match will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at Allen HS beginning at 7:00pm.  Prior to that match, Emmaus will take on Nazareth in the other semifinal.  That match begins at 5:30pm.

PHSVB :: District XI tournament begins Thursday

Parkland will open the 2017 District XI AAA tournament on Thursday when they host #6 seed Liberty in the quarterfinals.  The match will begin at 6:00pm.  The entire bracket, and schedule can be seen below.

PHSVB :: Trojans fall in EPC semis to Whitehall 3-1

For the second time in 4 days, Parkland fell to Whitehall, this most recent time a 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20) defeat in the EPC semifinals last night at Easton Middle School.  Garrett Weigel lead the way with 14 kills and 2 aces while Michael Zeky added 10 kills and 3 blocks.  The loss means that Parkland will not be playing for a conference championship for the first time since 2012.  The Trojans had won the last 4 EPC/LVIAC championships after losing in the LVIAC final to Emmaus in 2012.

Whitehall will take on top-seeded Emmaus in the championship match on Wednesday night.  Emmaus defeated Nazareth 3-0 in the other semifinal.  The championship match will begin at 6:00pm at Easton Middle School.

FUN FACT:  Adding this match with the 5 set match last Thursday, the Trojans and Zephyrs have played 8 sets to 25.  The average score of those 8 sets is Whitehall 24.25 - Parkland 23.375.




PHSVB :: EPC Playoff schedule determined

The 2017 EPC Boys Volleyball schedule has been released.  The matches will be held at Easton Middle School.  Semis on Monday, May 15th and finals on Wednesday, May 17th.

PHSVB :: 2017 District XI AAA tournament bracket finalized

After some confusion over the seedings, the official bracket has been released.  There are two 1st Round matches before the quarterfinals.  Those matches will be held at the highest seed of the 3 teams (Emmaus and Whitehall).  Parkland opens the tournament with a home match against #6 Liberty on Thursday at 6:00pm.

PHSVB :: Whitehall outlasts Parkland in regular season finale

After the dust settled in a very long and fun match to watch, Whitehall downed the host Trojans 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 23-25, 26-24, 15-11) in both team's final match of the regular season.  The night saw two 1st Team EPC All Stars going blow for blow as Parkland Garrett Weigel finished with 22 kills and Whitehall's Logan McGinley had 30 kills.

The two teams will do it all over again on Monday in the EPC Semifinals at Easton Middle School, beginning at 5:30pm.

Congratulations to Parkland's Garrett Weigel who was named to the 1st Team while Michael Zeky was named to the 2nd Team.  Congratulations to all other players who were selected.

PHSVB :: Trojans move to 15-1 with sweep of Easton

Parkland traveled to Easton on Tuesday night and came out with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-19) win to improve to 15-1.  Easton celebrated Senior Night which included their band performing during warmups which enjoyed by all in attendance.

Next up for the Trojans is their regular season finale against Whitehall which will also be Parkland's Senior Night.




PHSVB :: Trojans down Dieruff 3-0

Parkland made quick work of the visiting Huskies enroute to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-13) win.  The win moves the Trojans to 14-1 overall this season (13-1 in EPC play).

Next up for the Trojans is an early match at Easton tomorrow.  JV starts at 4:00pm.  The match will be held at the Easton Area High School.
